After searching the internet for hours and hours looking for just the right truck at just the right price, I found such a truck in the inventory at Pursch Motors in Pleasanton Texas. I called the dealer and spoke with Rudy. When I told Rudy I was an out of state buyer, he gave me a word salad indicating that his dealership sometimes does not sell to out of state buyers and that he would have to check with upper management. After waiting several hours that day, I looked at the dealer's reviews on Yelp and Google. I was astonished at what I saw. Other prospective buyers from out of state wrote that they were turned down and it was a no sale. At this point, I resumed my search and found another GMC truck that checked all of the boxes at Classic Buick GMC in Arlington Virginia 300 miles to the north of Pleasanton Texas. The next day, I called Classic Buick GMC and a half hour later, we made a deal and I must admit, it was a killer deal at that. Later that day, Rudy called me to say that his dealership was still trying to figure out if they wanted to sell to me! I explained to him that he was "A day late and a dollar short". My advice to out of state buyers is do not waste your time with Pursch Motors. It is bewildering to know that Pursch is turning away buyers because they are from out of state. Terrible management. Came in from out of town to purchase a vehicle, I was told that someone else was also coming from out of town to look at it but was still available. I walked in first, turned in the credit application first at full asking price yet the manager informed the salesperson that another application was going to be submitted. I offered to pay cash. They said they would only sell to who ever had a trade-in. I agreed to trade-in my vehicle and they offered a ridiculous amount. They ended up selling to the other person. We took the day off on a Friday to drive an hour away to purchase a brand new Yukon XL. Bank ready to go, we're ready to go...got there and they put us up with a guy who took us into his office. We told him were there to see 2 specific Yukons. Instead of taking us out to see them he pulls them up on the website to show us the same thing we had been looking at for days! Talk about lazy!! We finally get out to check them out and they couldn't answer our questions. Shouldn't they be more knowledgeable about GMC if they work for a GMC dealership? We test drive one and we're ready to make a deal. They wouldn't negotiate AT ALL! Not on the trade in or the vehicle we want to buy. An older man, they said he was the owners "right hand man" couldn't even look us in the eye when telling us why he couldn't give us a better offer. Shady...shady! We left and went to cavender in San Antonio and made a deal right then! Glad we decided to spend our money with a dealership who works hard and wanted to make a deal! read more

I knew exactly what Sierra I wanted as far as color, options etc. Every Houston area GMC dealer gave me the run around or lied about what they had to get me in the door. After weeks of begging someone to take my 50K I gave up and took my search online. I found the truck I wanted and was contacted by Brian. He sent me a PO with an out the door price, no BS, no dealer add ons. We arranged financing over the phone and I went to pick up my truck from his house since I couldn't make it over there before the dealership closed. Buyer beware! Test drove a truck, went home to discuss it over and called Rick and told them we would be there the next day to negotiate. Came in around 1pm and he said truck was sold 10 minutes ago! He couldn't even call us? Then out of nowhere a guy named Chris walked up and said if you want the truck, I can get it back here in 10 minutes. .. WHAT???! So we said ok and waited keeping an eye out on the front and side entrance. Then someone came up and handed him the keys... HA it never left. We took it to our mechanic to look at it and he determined there was about 2k in work that needs to be done. Went back and made our offer and they refused it. They just need to realize this is a small town and people know people. I know how much the truck was traded for and they were selling it for double! Someone is going to get this truck not knowing the tires are about to fall off because ball joints are really bad. Also back yolk is bad. Terrible customer service! I drove all the way out to this place 1hour away from my home expecting to buy a car they advertised. When I get there the car they show me has damage that was way more then the pictures they had listed on their own website described! I even showed them the pictures they had listed and they acted surprised and told me the picture was taken before it was damamged on their lot & that they should have deleted that picture. Really? I spoke to the Manager & he didn't bother to introduce himself I had to ask him his name? He was no help at all just said that he would have to get with the website people to change the ad? Obviously THEY WERE NOT INTERESTED IN SELLING A CAR TODAY! Never go there! Waste of time & gas! read more

Started off great service... to get the car sold . Anyone will tell you anything. Buyer beware .. Make sure you used car is inspected as they say it is. Shop around at pricing too. I ended up paying more then I should have. Service department here not very reliable and start drinking before they are closed. I ended up needing brakes right after I bought the car, now shocks, and was told the expensive entertainment center needs repaired. I know you buy a used car as is however when you trust a dealership to thoroughly look over inspect the car and sell if from there dealership I would think they would do a proper job with this. Also at the closing of the sale of my car I was told to write a $500 check that they didn't tell me about before. Not so worth the drive from San Antonio read more

After unsuccessfully trying to purchase a 2017 Sierra 4X4 at dealerships in the Houston area I was referred to Pursch Motors by a family member. I reviewed their inventory online and contacted sales rep Rick Garza by telephone. I was able to negotiate a good deal with him and then debated whether it was worth driving all the way to Pleasanton Texas (3 1/2 hours) to try and make the purchase. After being assured by my family member who has purchased several vehicles from Pursch, I booked a one-way flight from Houston to San Antonio. Arrived at the dealership in the morning suitcase in hand and met Rick Garza. We went over the pricing and paperwork and there were no surprises, even had about 4 vehicles to chose from that were equipped as desired. Long story made short, I drove off in a new truck an hour or so later. There was no bait and switch, no upsell pressure, and no surprises. I saved at least a couple of thousand dollars compared to prices negotiated in Houston dealerships and I do not regret making the trip, it made the cost of the flight seem trivial. A huge plus was not being pressured by the finance rep to purchase a bunch of other add-ons I didn't need or desire. Highly recommend this dealership and sales rep Rick Garza. Do yourself a favor and get out of the big cities and save yourself some $$$ and avoid shady sales practices. read more

I don't care what anyone says in these other reviews, do not go to this dealership. My husband and I are a young couple, just starting out, and these people will take advantage of you. We worked with one salesman over the course of three days on a deal, and less than an hour before we planned to meet him at the dealership, he calls us to tell us the price on the vehicle has gone up $2,000. We already had our checks in hand and had been given a written quote TWICE. Then they jacked up the price. When we tried to talk to the salesman, he hung up on us THREE times, while the GM/owner hung up on us as well. They were UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, and UNFAITHFUL to the deal we had. The GM screwed up in the price of the truck and had it listed too low, and then was a coward and didn't own up to his mistake and honor the price he put on the quotes. He even said "you must have been working on a deal at a different dealership" instead of owning up to his mistake. I'm sure the GM will read this, and respond with a carefully worded "saving face" kind of reply, but that is all for the public. My husband and I know how you treated us while you were sitting in your office, yelling over the phone, and that's all that matters. We wouldn't wish this kind of awful service on anyone. read more
