She has her car towed to Chad Miller Auto Care and calls me to say she needs a new battery and is being quoted $645. I ask her to hand her phone to an employee, and when I asked why this is so expensive the employee raised their voice at me. I asked for a manager and was informed it was Chad himself I was talking to. I would NOT suggest this mechanic. He is unprofessional and perpetuates the negative stereotype of crooked mechanics preying on young women.

So I read good things about this place. From what I read, they seemed like they knew what they were…read moredoing and maybe they do, but of the two vehicles I took there, both over 10 years old and with a variety of problems, they were able to fix some things, but not all. Mine has an oil leak at least 4 different places haven't been able to figure out. Chad's garage gave me some hope, but they were never able to fix it. I take pretty much all "guarantees" with a grain of salt. "Bring it back"...pffft why would I? You couldn't fix it the First time? More likely, I'll just be dumping more money in sonl you can "half fix it" a 2nd time. One mechanic even told my wife to "hit the dash when her A/C wasn't kicking on...AFTER they fixed it. GTFO... Really!? Cost wasn't exactly on the cheap side...maybe fair, but ONLY if they fix the problem. My impression is they had way more cars than they could handle and were trying to rush them outa there. Fair enough, but I will not be taking either of ours back. Fair warning to those that do.

We had a full vehicle tuneup on my wife's Camry and let's just just say it was nothing but stellar. Belts, plugs and full brake work done in 2 hours at our home. Great work! I called and the gentleman answered promptly and said they would call me after they were done with another vehicle so they could arrange a time. 6-7 hours no call back. I politely texted that I understood they may have run longer and to please let me know if they would still be able to come out. No response. The next day I waited until about 10am to give them some time in case they were still. busy. I called, and they didn't answer and there was no way to leave a message. I get it if you are booked and can't help out, but to be "ghosted" by a business and not have your calls returned is crazy. All they had to do was return a phone call and say they couldn't help. I must assume that they are flush with business and don't need anymore work so more power to them. In the meantime I will just have to tow my car to a dealership to get something fixed that should have been relatively easy. I would have attempted to work on it myself but my hand is out of commission for the week which is why I was opting for a mobile mechanic. Waste of time

Luckily I have been fortunate with no issues but we had a diagnosis for a large job on another vehicle that I wanted a second opinion on because I had a gut feeling. Lo and behold. Seymour's rocks. My mechanic shop is better than yours!!!

1 STAR - AVOID AT ALL COSTS…read more I trusted Seymour's Garage with my primary work truck for an engine rebuild that cost me $9,677.11. What followed has been one of the most stressful and unprofessional experiences I've ever had with a repair shop. Within weeks of picking up the truck, it began losing oil at an alarming rate. I had to return it, where they admitted an oil leak related to their rebuild--but still charged me for oil. The problem never stopped. The engine was clearly defective from the start. On December 17, the truck broke down again in Austin and had to be towed back to San Antonio. After another mechanic advised there was a serious internal engine failure, Seymour's took the truck back on December 19, repeatedly telling me for weeks that this was being handled under warranty and that I needed to "be patient." After months of assurances, I was suddenly told the warranty would not be honored and that I would need to buy a completely new engine. No explanation. No documentation. Just a reversal of everything they had told me. During my most recent phone call with Matthew, the situation turned outright hostile. He became aggressive, told me to "come and get your f**ing truck,"* and then hung up on me. At the same time, he threatened to leave my truck outside on the street, even though it is not operable and is still in their possession. As of today, they still have my truck. Because of Seymour's Garage, I've suffered: Nearly $10,000 lost on a failed engine rebuild Loss of my work vehicle Towing costs Rental vehicle expenses Property damage from oil leaks Business interruption and lost income Extreme stress caused by false assurances and abusive conduct This shop took my money, failed to stand behind their work, misled me about warranty coverage, and then responded with threats and profanity instead of accountability. If you value your vehicle, your livelihood, or basic professional treatment--do not bring it to Seymour's Garage.
