When I went to the urgent Care, I had a horrendous lung infection. The reviews online had made it sound like they had a licensed general practitioner on staff. The receptionist at the front desk was pleasant enough, but what happened in the doctors office was unbelievably bad. I never saw a physician instead I saw a unsupervised physicians assistant there was not a doctor in the facility. The medical assistant for the PA came in and began an initial intake she was nice. She had not taken my blood pressure yet. She left the room to get a different blood pressure cuff. She reentered the room with the PA. The mail PA asked me why I was there. I explained to him that I had had a lung infection going on two weeks and that it was not getting any better and that I needed something to calm down the cough., I wanted to be tested for RSV and Covid and I probably needed to have an order for a chest x-ray over at Pomona Valley Hospital. What happened next was shocking the PA told me well. We need to send you to the emergency room right away your blood pressure is 110/170! You could have a stroke or a heart attack. I looked at the nursing assistant and said well Dr. that's impossible for two reasons first I am on blood pressure medication that has kept my blood pressure very stable for over 10 years and I doubt that my blood pressure is that high. Secondly your assistant hasn't even taken my blood pressure yet. Instead of the PA apologizing and taking my blood pressure the individual double down and said well we're not going to be able to treat you at this facility. You need to go to the emergency room. When I asked why considering that the PA had not done a physical exam yet he told me that they did not have the ability to treat me at their facility. I asked to speak to the physician in charge and I was told that they did not have a physician on staff at that urgent care. I said well can you reach One via telehealth And I was told no. I asked could you please give me a prescription for a cough suppression medication or an expectorant and I was told no I began to get a little irritated, and I said at the very least you could do a physical examination order the chest x-ray a and labs so that I don't have to spend five hours at the emergency room wasting an emergency room physicians time. The PA turned around, began walking out the door and said you're going to have to go to the emergency room. I received no care at this urgent care and yet they charged my insurance company for a urgent care visit. I have actually called my insurance company and informed them of the experience and encourage them not to pay the bill. This is actually a first for me, but in the last two years I have become less and less impressed by the Pomona Valley Hospital care system and their urgent cares. It feels to me like their physicians and their PAs need more training. The PAs need supervision and guidance from a more experienced, licensed medical professional based on this experience, I would never go back to La Verne Pvhc Urgent Care. I actually went to another urgent care that is not part of the pvhc system the next day and received high-end quality urgent care from a pa under the direct supervision of a doctor. What I would expect from a Urgent doctors appointment. It turned out that I had RSV , I was immediately given cough medicine and supportive care, advice and I was treated and made a full recovery. It is unfortunate that I had to go to two urgent care to get the actual care that I needed so I really hope that my insurance company does not pay them for this visit because they did nothing to deserve a financial reward. The only reason that I am giving them two stars is because the receptionist at the front desk was very nice. read more

I love this PT center! The reception is always friendly and efficient. There is also great phone reception, which feels like a rarity now-a-days. Coco is an amazing Physical Therapist. I went in for Vertigo and she used a model of the ear to really explain what was going on for me and how we would treat it, which was important to me and helped me to cope with the nausea I would feel when doing the Epley maneuver. As she said, we were able to get the crystal to move out of the tubes, where it would no longer make me dizzy. I am so grateful...both for her expertise, but also for her great kindness while treating me. Waiting room comfortable, parking easy. read more

My family doctor is based out of this PVHC La Verne location. A wonderful family doctor all around. Very patient, listens well, and gives me full attention during my visit. I've been seeing them for my woman wellness check-ups for over 20+ years now. Amazing how time passes before our eyes! Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Service is at its own pace... remember you're at a doctor's office. There are other patients ahead of you. Please be patient. Ambiance is quiet and peaceful. Just went there to have my 2 year old son seen who has a possible broken bone and Arlene refused to allow us to pay cash for my sons services after she declined our insurance. She had the worst attitude about it and was argumentative instead of being compassionate and understanding to parents trying to care for their son in pain. As we asked questions she'd repeat herself and roll her eyes. She would interrupt us and say "AS I SAID." She should not be the first person to greet you during a high stress situation. Arlene definitely needs therapy as she's clearly an unhappy person and projects that onto others at her place of work. I hope she can learn from this situation and practice a little more kindness especially in her place of work. read more

If I could give no stars I would. This doctor didn't listen to me on what I needed or what I was going through. He had to ask me multiple times to repeat what I said because again not listening or paying attention! Im chronically ill and he didn't care! I was lightheaded and dizzy and when I told him, he dismissed it! Never going there again. Don't see Dr. Justin Pegueros. I'm not sure how he is a doctor for the "so called care" he gave today. I was really happy I made the switch back to being a patient of Dr. Tiffany Endo and joining this medical group. I came in for a physical and was seen by Kim Dinh, PA. She had excellent bedside manners, was a great listener and proactive in recommending things I needed to follow up with. I was told it was easier to get an appointment with Kim for physicals than it was to see Dr. Endo but I have no regrets. I would definitely schedule with Kim for my next physical. At the end of the visit, I was provided a summary and lab orders which are done in another location nearby. The location is big and clean with easy and plenty of parking. If you call ahead, appointments dates are easy to schedule. Overall, they truly live up to their motto of being comprehensive, convenient and compassionate. Thank you! read more

I've visited the Urgent Care Office many times for my family and myself. Always feel welcomed. The medical care is excellent and prompt. I recently change my PCP to Dr. Casas. The doctor was very attentive on my first time patient consult. Dr. Casas listened to my health concerns and sent in for testing. I am very satisfied and cant wait to visit Dr. Casas again. My boys and I have been going to PVHC ever since we moved to Claremont. Tiffany Endo is a great doctor but you can't get an appointment with her for a few months in advance. The last two times we had horrible service from there and that is why we have left them as our doctor and they are getting this HORRIBLE review. My 2 year old son started to have a bad runny nose that looked like some type of infection in July. We called and got an appointment for telecommunications. The PA Kim (I think she's a PA, not sure) said he has asthma and gave him something for asthma and did a general antibiotic. I told my brother who is a doctor and he said to not do the asthma stuff because he doesn't have asthma symptoms. We gave him the antibiotics but he didn't get better. He actually got worse. He had HUGE yellow boogers, some of boogers had blood. We used a nose frita, we have an air purifier going and these boogers were soooo big and long and my son was extremely uncomfortable. He was having a hard time sleeping, eating and breathing so called again and they gave us another telecommunication appointment because his symptoms were covid like. So saw PA Kim again and this time she said its allergies. My husband and I have allergies so we were hesitant with her diagnosis because with allergies you don't have giant yellow-green boogers. But we gave him allergy medicine and he didn't get better. Now, 4 weeks later we called them again and this time I wanted to go into the office. He had 2 telecommunication appointments with the wrong diagnosis. He didn't have covid (we had a covid test) and the receptionist was HORRIBLE. She kept telling us we had to do telecommunication and I told her we had done 2 and that we needed to come in. After going back and forth a few times I got emotional and was crying (I am tired of seeing my 2 year old suffer for more than 4 weeks). So the receptionist (I think her name is Margarita) said she will send PA Kim a message. FINALLY, she gave me another option. Well, PA Kim calls me and lectures me! How I can't talk to the office staff like that. I'm sorry for being so frustrated and crying because my son isn't getting care that he needs. So PA Kim said we can make an appointment to go into the office since we had done 2 telecommunication appointments. Um, shouldn't the office staff Margarita have given me that option. But instead of apologizing for not taking care of my son she called to lecture me. They lost ALL my trust. Decided to take him to urgent care the next day and he got diagnosed with a sinus infection, got antibiotics and was back to himself 7 days later. So thanks for not helping and taking care of your patient. I also asked to have the manager or owner call me and they never did. I couldn't change my family doctor yet because my 2 year old son had a referral for the allergist. So we decided to stick it out a little bit longer so he could go to the allergist. Well, I needed care a few days ago. I have horrible eczema on my writing hand and it had flared (blisters, blood, dry skin) to the point were I couldn't hold a writing tool. I'm a teacher so I need to write and wanted some type of relief. I call to make an appointment and its my favorite office worker Margarita. After being on the phone with her for 10 minutes (mind you I told her how much pain I am in and need something sooner than later) she gives me an option to come in to see a doctor in 3 weeks. I told her that wasn't going to work since I need relief as soon as possible. She doesn't give me other options and I remembered they have same day appointments and I asked her if I could go that route and she said yes. Then, I ask her if I can do a telecommunication appointment and she states yes and the next availability is in a few days. This girl sucks at her job and needs to be replaced. She doesn't provide you with all options and she holds back information. Thanks Margarita and PA Kim for not taking care of my 2 year old for 5 weeks! You guys are horrible and should feel bad for being such horrible people in the field of helping people! read more

Very unprofessional and rude staff. I requested information regarding my daughters health and they kept refusing to give it to me. I sent in all the "required" documentation for them to release the information but they keep giving me the run around and lies about call back. They say they are going to get back to me by a certain time just to not hear anything back. Everytime I contact them, they don't have the information I already gave them and it's like it's the first time calling. Extremely frustrating dealing with them to get some simple clarification information. read more

First time here was 2 weeks ago. Sent by workers comp due to an already diagnosed injury by a hospital. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes of my time just to confirm the obvious and write exactly what the original doctor wrote. Follow up second appointment at 10am. Got here at 950 checked in. Waited for 45 minutes. Don't understand the point of having an appointment if your not seen at the appointment time or at least 10 minutes within that time. Not 45 minutes plus. Plenty of staff standing around behind the glass chatting away. Guess they don't have enough doctors to see you. Should seperate appointments to avoid wasting patients time. read more

Saw Dr. Cassas. I DISLIKE going to doctor but he made me feel very at ease. Might be my new primary physician

Staff is super rude and unprofessional. I scheduled here because they were literally a minute drive from my house. The front desk lady literally talked down to me the whole time I was there and made me sit in their waiting room for an hour because my authorization expired even when I asked them repeatedly if I should reschedule so that my doctor would have time to send in a new order and they kept rudely telling me to sit back down and wait. While waiting they all loudly talk about their personal lives and other things..An hour later they end up telling me to reschedule for a few weeks out to make sure the new auth would go through... EXACTLY LIKE I SAID I SHOULD IN THE FIRST PLACE. Such a waste of my time. I obviously didn't schedule with them after the service I received from their front desk staff and their rude way of talking down to their patients. She even had the nerve to say since my authorization was expired I obviously wasn't in pain..... Such a rude lady, trust me DO NOT go to this location. GO TO THE CLAREMONT PHYSICAL THERAPY!! I just had my appointment today and the staff and physical therapist were all AMAZING! 10/10. Do not schedule with this office, go to Claremont even if it's an extra 5 min drive.
