While I was very happy with the services over the years 14 years I owned my home, terminating the services is impossible. When I sold my home they insisted on charging me for 2 more years. They harassed for payment even though I told them the house was sold. They insist on signing you to a 3 year (or more) contract which cannot be terminated if you move or sell your property. Sign up with a service that does month to month. Be very careful with this company. I would never use them again. I cannot believe that would treat a customer of 14 years so poorly. I hate to think how they treat new customers. Also I had recommended them to the houses new owners. For all I know Briscoe is collecting fees twice for the same house. Appalling if so. read more

I've had issues with the sevice for over a week. I've spoken with several people, was hung up on by Steve in tech, was promised managers would call back, they haven't - yet, they are billing my credit card for a service they are not even providing, nor is it working! I want my account, that hasn't even been working to be canceled as of March 1st. DO NOT CHARGE MY CARD FOR APRIL OR ANY MONTH THEREAFTER! How can you even explain billing me for a service you are not providing??? This is such a scam and I am reporting Briscoe to every consumer agency! As you know my radio has not been working as of March 2nd and therefore I should not be billed from March 2nd. I have 5 months left on my contract which I will not be renewing for November so this shakedown to insist I pay $389 fo upgrade my radio to 5g doesn't make any sense! Again, I don't know how you can possibly be billing me if you are not providing ANY service - isn't that illegal??? You have the absolute worst customer service - the ONLY person to give me the time of day was Jackie in billing - she is amazing. Not one manager has gotten back to me as I was promised which is disgusting! BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL, Briscoe a division of Pye-Barker is a very dishonest organization. The service is horrendous as they have zero customer service except in collections. They are private equity backed and buy contracts from other security firms that sell out. They are operating in most cases without contract and on terms that are beyond fair and equitable practice. If you ever actually need help with security they are not available and you are literally paying for nothing. Its almost in the category of SCAM. I only chose 1 star because I can't choose zero stars. I had the same issue as Julia H. Briscoe came to my home to fix and update my system. They gave me a receipt to sign agreeing the work was done and the payment received. This was about 2 years before I was planning to move. When I was ready to move and called to cancel service they told me I owed them over $2000 to pay for the balance of the 5 year contract I signed. Now I knew I never would have knowingly signed up for 5 years of service when I was planning on moving in 2 years. I had them send me this "contract". It was the receipt from the service provided 2 years prior. On page 3 in tiny print that I needed a magnifying glass to read was the 5 year contract. No one told me this was part of the receipt I was signing and it wasn't initialed as is common practice when signing a contract. They also threatened me with litigation and emailed me almost daily with a bill. Fortunately for me one of the bills they emailed me said I owed a zero balance. This I saved but the next day they emailed me again with the $2000 balance. I then blocked them from my email so communication ended. DECEPTIVE PRACTICES!!!! You better believe it. The absolute worst. They installed cameras that didn't work. Installed the monitor in a separate room from the computer with and can't understand that it is impossible to guide a mouse around a screen when there are 3 separate walls between the monitor and the mouse. They say go out and pick up a wireless mouse. Somehow its my fault that the cameras are unusable. Turns out the distance is too far for a wireless mouse. They refused to do anything about it. They stopped servicing my alarms too. The owner doesn't care. I will be seeing them in court. AVOID!!! read more

Adding insult to injury, after a bad experience with Briscoe (see prior review), I decided to change to a locally owned, more responsive service (turned out to be half the price for better personal and self-directed management). I called to cancel, and though the person was very apologetic, I was required to send an e-mail to confirm, which I did immediately. 3 days have gone by and still no response and no discontinuance of the service - so now I get a daily call and text letting me know that the signal to central monitoring is not being received. No SHXT. I switched to the new provider the day I requested service to be discontinued. This must be another effort to collect more money before disconnecting my service when requested - or just an add-on to their overall poor service which is why I'd not recommend doing business with this company. read more

They bought a bunch of other companies and tried to raise our monitoring by 60-80%! Beware. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM. I was smart enough to sign for only one year. Service has gone downhill and they are trying to raise everyone's rates. They call immediately if there is a problem and are very calm and reassuring. Any time I need service we are able to schedule promptly. The people who come are on time and get the job done. This service has been very disappointing to say the least. We are a commercial company with a large yard. We have been robbed several times. As we have narrowed the vulnerable locations we had Briscoe add several cameras. Unfortunately none of them worked after installation. After several months of chasing them to fix, we are being told all kinds of Covid stories and that we will be put onto the schedule. Since then nothing has happened and we were robbed again. At this point we just want to move on to a new installer/monitoring company. The worse part is the camera system, digital watchdog is very reluctant to give us other installers in the area, telling us to figure it out with Briscoe. Really? i may just have to take them all down and go with Reolink system which we can install and maintain ourselves. read more

We have had a very bad experience with Briscoe. We signed on with Bellringer and liked that it was a small local company. Ever since Briscoe bought them, they have raised their rates continually, tried to upsell products that have no present value and are now trying to lock us into a long term contract. I was shocked that they said this is not their policy and no refund for services not rendered would be issued. Additionally I was told this would be escalated to a manager and I would be called back. I never received any callback and subsequent attempts to reach out them have been ignored. This company does not care about its customers. Buyer beware of working with worldwide security. Worst customer service. Same complaint on pricing as others that are posted. With no authorization or notice, they changed my service plan and increased the quarterly payment by almost 50%. When asked how this could happen, their response is that they are "allowed" to raise their prices as much as they want at any time. I have been with the company for 2 years and recently wanted to add flood sensors to my basement. Making an appointment for an estimate was easy, but everything after was a mess. It took over a month to get a real estimate for flood sensors. Even after contacting the company and salesman multiple times I still did not receive a price. It wasn't until I called billing, someone finally set up an appointment to have them installed and they told me I didn't even have to have a salesman come to the house. The company set up an appointment, between 11-2, for the technician to come to the house. It's now 245pm and I didn't receive a call from either the tech or the company. I called the company and they said "he's on his way". I understand things happen, but a phone call would have been nice. Not sure what happened, but before the name change things were different. I was never rude and always polite on the phone and it's disappointing to know this is how some customers are treated. read more

DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND. About 3 years ago, I received a phone call from Worldwide telling me I needed an upgrade because the company were changing the frequency of their network. My system was working fine and I did not need or want an "upgrade". I was told they could no longer monitor the system they had installed a few years back, so I agreed to have them change the equipment. The work order just mentioned the no charge "upgrade." In 2 pages of fine print it turns out they also extended my contract. As I was running out to work, the installer asked for my signature sign to acknowledge that the equipment was installed and working. That was COMPLETELY DECEPTIVE. The intent was to trick me, and I assume, other customers into signing a contract for another 5 years, which I only found out years later when I tried to terminate the monitoring contract because the monthly fees were too high. The TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT refuses to have a conversation, and instead tries to intimidate with collection notices and threats of litigation. Any company that uses such deceptive business practices should not be entrusted with the safety of your home. read more

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. My alarm goes off for no reason at all, this has happened 3 times now. When it does, it won't disarm and continues blaring. The central station calls, says they can't help with disarming. I have an infant asleep in my house with an alarm blasting for 40 minutes. I called every number available and I'm only told it's after office hours. I had someone from service come to fix the issue, they did, then it just happened AGAIN. Another night of the alarm not disarming. Another time of calling only to be told that no one can help, "call tech support". This is insanity. My favorite was the service person that called 2 hours later and when I answered the phone he said "IS IT OFF?" not even a "hello"....then he proceeded to yell (I am very nice by the way) at me because he was "stuck in traffic on the BQE and its after office hours". Alarm systems don't have office hours. If I'm going to have an alarm that won't disarm, at least have someone available to disarm it for me. I will never use this company again. read more
