Initially I…read morethought it was going to hit my windshield- it landed in the road in front of my poor little car. Because of oncoming traffic, I could not swerve, or because of the car behind me- stop safely. I hit it and heard the crunching tearing sound. Mercifully, the car behind me stopped. I had to back out to get this giant chunk out of the bottom of my car. In the moment I should've pulled over, but I asked Siri for the closest repair shop. This was Steve and Jerry's. At this point I prayed for help. I was petrified. I spoke to a sweet woman who said she was going to go chat with her son in law. My car died a minute from their shop. He chatted with me briefly and said he would be right over. He walked over in the rain. As he looked- his expression was grim. It seems this chunk tore the radiator and compressor, and he wasn't sure about the engine. The cars check engine light was on. My tow driver towed it over. He had a longer look and came in to chat with me. This was pretty massive. He felt it needed to go to the dealer, and told me to file an insurance claim. I started the process in the waiting area and soon I had a plan in place. Not only did the technician offer to drive me back to my home (I had a friend coming), but his mom in law kept the store open until my friend arrived, keeping me warm instead of standing out in the cold. I did request to pay for the detailed assessment, and I did so. Can you say over and above? I don't know many places that would do this. Even though the damage was beyond their means (because it was pretty catastrophic needing a dealer's help), they still made sure I wasn't left literally out in the cold. I can just imagine how their regular customers are treated, I was new to them! The office Goddess informed me they'd been around for 54 years. I can certainly see why. Her husband took great pride in his service (he's been departed a decade or so) and the business remains in their family. What great, kind people I ran into today. I would recommend this business wholeheartedly. On a cold, rainy, horribly gone wrong and not so funny April Fool's Day- I met a couple angels that gave me hope. After having my car for 2.5 days, they claimed the sounds couldn't be replicated, then charged me over $100 for a new gas cap and diagnostics that didn't lead to anything getting fixed. As I was pulling out of their lot, the pulley and brakes were squealing, and not only is that still happening a couple weeks later, but the CEL came back on with the same trouble code as before. I didn't even get to keep my old gas cap that apparently didn't need replaced. They threw it away without asking and charged me a $6 "waste disposal" fee. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else if you need repairs done.

They did it again, still there. I kept telling them the problem was still there and their response was " well, we can't find it". They had to reluctantly, I might add, repair the heat as it wasn't working properly. They did what they could to get past that warranty period of 90 days. As I bought this towards winter, I didn't use the AC until the following summer. Nope. No AC as they condenser was shot. I could barely keep it on the road for the sway, they refused to make it right or find the issue as it was a problem at purchase, they said. They wanted my money for more appointments. I took it elsewhere and it was verified that it was a bad Rack & Pinion. It had chewed THREE sets of tires. One set I had had them put on and through that and TWO alignments, they somehow completely missed that the Rack & Pinion was bad. (?????) Either their service dept.is completely incompetent OR they knew and didn't want to pony up for the repairs. Either way, terrible service. In less than one years time, I have had to dish out 3K for their incompetence's. Granted, I should have Blue booked it before purchase, so I eat the double cost. However, to detail a car and just slap it on the lot without going over the vehicle ( If they HAD gone over it correctly, these issues would have ALL been seen and addressed, no excuse) is bad business. I was told this vehicle was gone over and in top condition. I'll not only never go back there again, I won't recommend anyone go there.
