We recently contracted with Ryan to install a sprinkler system at my mother in law's house. The professional manner in which Ryan conducted our intial meeting was above board. Supervision and communication with customers need significant improvement at QLawn. It took weeks for the initial install, which was sloppy (incorrect and incomplete work, excavations left open and unmarked for days at a time, dirt all over the valves, doors, & sidewalks), followed by months of troubleshooting to fix all the tech's mistakes and shortcuts, including issues uncovered by the July rainstorms (a supply pipe wasn't properly sealed and there is water coming into the basement with each downpour). Responses to our calls and emails to the office and owner are slow and conflict with what the crew told us (the crew said they replaced the supply pipe, the owner claims they didn't touch it - despite the shiny new copper pipe going through our foundation wall and the owner not having visited the property since issuing the quote). We've had techs come and go from our property with no notice and can no longer reach the crew lead who oversaw the work. My impression is that Q-Lawn took on too many projects with not enough qualified staff and insufficient oversight to ensure quality work. We get that it's hard to hire good people and frustrating to fix staff mistakes, but the company needs to take responsibility for the work. Proceed with caution: if you decide to hire QLawn, be sure you verify who will be doing the work on your property, stay on-site to observe, get everything the crew and owner tells you in writing (not just at the start, but throughout the process), and get before, during, and after photos too. read more

I cannot say enough about Ryan and his team at Q Lawn. Ryan is very personable and has vast a knowledge on any landscaping or lawn service you might need. His price and his team's quality of work far exceeded my expectations. I had Q Lawn build a retaining wall in a tight area that was pretty tall for a residential area and they absolutely nailed. Ryan's GM Luis was very responsive and answered any questions or concerns I had. Like I told Ryan, so many companies, especially here in Cheyenne, are out to only make money. I made a request for turning on my sprinkler the middle of April then called 2 days later because after they came and looked, they said I needed fertilizing and defoling and the rain was coming in. They said our guys have a list to go by and they'll get to you soon. Now it's June 7th I tried calling them on Friday no answer. And I get a bill for a service that to my knowledge was never done! The front lawn never showed any sign of being touched, and if the fertilized and it not being watered I think would cause problems, and I still can't contact them! read more

We bought 10 trees last year and they planted. I can see the wire and burlap sticking out of the ground. I tried calling them and left a message last fall when some of the trees were dying to see if they could recommend someone to come out and look at them. I'm suspicious that because they won't return a call that it's because they didn't remove the wire from around the burlap when they planted. I couldn't do business with them again even if I wanted because they don't return my call. I am going to get more trees but not from them read more

They were quick to get out and give us an estimate, unlike some of the other companies in town that never took the time to return a phone call. They were very fair on the price and came in much lower than another estimate we got. Great fair company here to help customers not take you to the cleaners. Q Lawn took care of my lawn last year and will be returning this year. They did a nice job, and I appreciated Ryan's personal attention to detail. They aerate and do thatch removal as well as mow and edge weekly. It is nice to have a service that takes the time to brush the cut grass off the sidewalks and patios when they are done cutting. It makes everything look so good! I have a huge yard it is not an easy job. I truly appreciate their spring clean up since the pine trees make a mess over the winter months. There is also the added bonus of seeing their friendly faces during the winter months to take care of my snow removal needs.
