Follow up communications resulting in no response back, and nobody showed up on the 27th of July as scheduled. No response to my messages on scheduled day of installation or since.

Here's why: Lawns of the West left us with such a terrible mess that I had to sue them for $18,000 in Jefferson Conty Court, Golden, CO. Check Jefferson County Court Case No.19C2136 and you can VERIFY that after a trial to the Court, the judge awarded me a judgment for the full $18,000 plus costs. And the evidence of the mess they left was so strong that the judge DENIED Lawns of the West ANY of their $8,943.35 which is what I fortunately had held back to job completion. The Court's judgment also blocked Darryl from filing a lien on our home which he was actually threatening to do, having sent us legal Notice of his intent if we did not pay him the that $8943 we had held back. Expert witness testimoney at trial along with documentary evidence proved that the job was not correctly done. For example, evidence proved that Darryl used "Quick Fix Window and Door Sealer" paper to make all the seams in our front yard. After catching him doing that, he promised to redo those seams with the factory required turf glue, but never did. He agreed to use glue on the back yard seams but those seams were so bad it looked like a kid or other amateur had done them. Darryl's written contract also promised an extended factory warranty but evidence at trial showed that he was never qualified to offer that extended warranty and that he knew he wasn't qualified. So many broken promises, broken equipment, poorly trained employees, no shows, countless job delays, and flagrant disregard for doing the job right. And even now, flagrant disregard for the Court's $18,000 judgment: He has never paid a cent. I regret having disregarded some of his other bad reviews. But good or bad, most reviews can't be verified so one does not know what to believe. This review can be verified by official Court records based on a trial to the Court. If you do hire Lawns of the West, ask Darryl if he is willing to put in the contract that the turf will be correctly installed according to factory specifications. A completely reasonable request. And then get yourself a copy of Easy Turf's publication "How to Install Artificial Turf" because you will need it. That publication clearly states that turf seams IF correctly installed will not be noticeable. If Lawns of the West won't agree in writing to do your job correctly, that would, of course, be a HUGE RED FLAG. Also protect yourself by insisting the contract allow you to hold back 40% of the job until job completion because even if you sue Lawns of the West and win, they may blow off the Court's judgment as they have done with me. So at least I did not lose the $8,943 which I held back but net cost to correct his horrible work was still the difference between that and the Court's $18,000 judgment. Again, most reviews, good or bad, cannot be verified. This one can be.
