Warm and inviting, we had an excellent meal.... The Teriyaki Beef Appetizer was delicious, and large enough for a full meal with a side of fries.... The schnitzel though.... Outstanding. Travel to Bremen every couple of years for work. In the past Bremen has been a hard town to get good polite service and a nice meal. Q1 did very well! The Host is a little blunt and off putting but once your are past the door of this very busy spot the waitstaff is excellent. Coming from the southern USA I had my doubts but ordered the spare ribs, friend got a steak, other friend got the 24 hour beef which I think translates better to Prime rib roast. All were done quite well! Ribs were a very good, more of a St. Louis style wet rib, sauce on the sweeter side, but fall off the bones tender. Steak was cooked to a proper rare and not over seasoned. Meat quality was excellent! The manhattan was good (Bulliet bourbon is the top shelf). Beer selection is the usual German varieties Weiss wheat or dunkle. They do have a nice gin selection. This place was on the brink of 1 star - how anyone have given it 5 stars is so fare beyond my understanding I won't even try. I had a curry dish with rice, and it was marked "hot / spicy " - I have tasted baby food that had more taste, more salt, more sugar, more spices more everything. It was the most bland "curry" dish I EVER had - don't get me wrong when I was in India, I was dying on a daily basis even if I ordered not spicy, but this - not even a child would find this spicy, that would be dine if it tasted of something else - but it did not, totally 100% tasteless. My girlfriend had a salad- witch mostly consisted of the very bitter Christmas salad - ohh well it was just a salad, but well pretty boring. Table water = 7€ for 75 ml - it's crazy overpriced !!! The waiters was nice but payed absolutely no attention to the floor I had 5 waitress walk past me looking away / at the floor when I tried to make eye contact to pay - even the one 0.5 meters away I started speaking to hurried by - tbh I was on the brink of just leaving. ( and the table 10 meters from is had same problem trying to pay ) Conclusion: super pricey for very low quality - not that it was bad as "I will be sick" just tasteless, and poorly made. read more

So good I went twice during a trip to Bremen. First was an accident. It was pouring rain and we ducked in because it looked inviting. Both times, had wonderful service. On my first visit, I had a delicious bowl of potato soup, served with soft brown bread, and split a burger with a friend. My second visit was meeting a friend from another city for dinner. The dinner menu was incredible. She is vegetarian and they had loads of good options. A surprising menu with Asian, Italian and German options. I really wanted to try the bao buns (next visit). We split a green salad that was loaded with different veggies and tossed in a light oil/vinegar dressing. My mushroom tagliatelle was perfect. Chocked with mushrooms and dressed in a sauce that wasn't overpowering or over heavy. The dish was topped with rocket, which made for a great flavor and texture balance in each bite. My friend loved her pumpkin ravioli. I regret we had no room for dessert! read more

Very nice location in the heart of Bremen. The ambiente is very cool - does not matter whether you came for a drink or for a dinner. It was full on the evening when I was there, so you could have a nice conversation in the chattering background. The waiters were friendly, not too present but always on your side, when your drink was empty. The food was very delicious - we tried the burger and the fish (zander). Both dishes were great! The prices are pretty high, but you get high quality food and service for that. Not something for a quick bite, I would say, but a nice place to allow yourself to go for a nice dinner once in a while. Will definitely come back again! read more

Friendly staff, excellent food, a bit expensive. I have teenagers and they can be quite picky when it comes to good steak, but they loved it! I had a vegetarian dish but it was a vegan dish as well. It was great! Bit salty as I noticed later that I felt like drinking water the rest of the evening. read more

Such a quiet and delightful place! If you are in search for a peaceful and tasty restaurant this is the place for you.Candle light at noon, young and old sitting next to each other, quite a harmony here. I orderd oven backed cheese with olive, tomatoes, pesto and salad.Was really good, round and fresh.
