With his mother's total agreement he swung the bat, aiming directly at her back shoulder and hit her with a good amount of force. To my amazement she turned around with a big grin on her face. She felt no pain. The sensation was quite the opposite and actually invigorated her. I could see in her face and hear in her voice that she had somehow become more alive. I was intrigued, to say the least. Since that day 4 years ago, Qi gong has become an integral part of my life. The Jingui method along with stellar instruction and guidance has benefited my life in deeply meaningful ways. Qi Gong has been the impetus for my physical, mental and emotional transformation. I believe this training is quite profound in its ability to achieve its most basic objectives: health and wellness. What it offers in addition to that is incredibly powerful. Darren creates a fun class environment and has thoughtfully supports each student throughout the entire process. He is completely free of judgement and completely full of praise. His big heart and authentic character are a testament to the training itself. The best way to learn more is to check out one of the introductory classes held in Corte Madera or Santa Cruz. I am a Licensed Acupuncturist with a Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine and prior to joining 10,000 Victories I studied with several great teachers of Hsing-I, Bagua, Tai Ji and Kung Fu for nearly a decade. So, I kind of know what Im talking about as you read on.... First of all, Sifu Jensen is a kind, compassionate and approachable man who has dedicated himself to these arts for the better part of his life. Having studied with several great masters himself, he was encouraged to share his teachings to benefit others and help preserve and perpetuate these ancient arts. He takes this role very serious and will openly share his knowledge and help train you to be the best you can be! He works with all ages and skill levels and does an excellent job of giving everyone the individual attention they deserve. With such a wealth of knowledge, Sifu Jensen gives you all you can handle and more. Northern Shaolin Kung Fu is very athletic with deep stances, high kicks, and fast strikes. It requires that the student be strong and flexible with great balance and stability. Our classes begin with an intense workout that then flows into sparring practice to help improve your timing and confidence. Next we work on (empty) hand forms that teach martial technique while continuing to enhance the students physical fitness and mental acuity. Lastly, we learn weapon forms that include swords, sabers, staffs, spears, daggers and even the cane and fan! I also study Tai Ji Chuan with Sifu Jensen which is an effective martial art and a great way to help center the mind and body while promoting the healthy flow of Qi or energy. It along with Qi Gong are excellent for those who are not physically able to join the Kung Fu class, as well as individuals looking to combine movement with meditation. I love the combination of Kung Fu and Tai Ji and feel that it helps to complete the picture. I have personally gained so much. Physically I have never felt better. I am stronger, faster, more flexible, better balanced, and have greater endurance than ever before -- and thats saying a lot as I am a serious athlete in my own right. At the same time I feel more relaxed, confident and centered from my practice and believe it has made me a better husband, father, friend, and professional. 10,000 Victories has become my extended family and the school operates efficiently with the help of Rachel Jensens enthusiasm, determination and grace. I encourage anybody whos looking to improve their health and/or take themselves to a whole new level to check it out. Oh, did I forget to mention how much fun we have too? Dont miss out! Sincerely, -Adam Shapiro, L.Ac., MSTCM

Over the years I have met with many martial artists and I can say that what he taught me was useful, effective, and correct. His knowledge and ability are first rate. Many of my fellow students have become life long friends.

I'm now 38 weeks pregnant, and she has continued to support me throughout my pregnancy, helping me feel confident that I'm taking the best possible care of my body and baby. I started seeing Lindsey for fertility support, and she has been incredibly informative, kind, and gentle from day one. I had never done acupuncture before, and she immediately made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Within just a four months of working with her, I became pregnant -- and I truly believe her care played a big role in that. She takes time to explain each session, what she's working on, and now that I'm pregnant, she continues to support me through each stage. I always leave feeling balanced, calm, and cared for. If you're looking for fertility or pregnancy acupuncture, I highly recommend Lindsey Koelman -- she's wonderful!

I mean, they say in their mission statement they're grounded in Buddha's teachings. I'm sorry, I still don't see it in action. I suppose I have to admit that this exclusiveness approach is serving some people in the community, and so I up my stars to two, but my heart knows this is anything but Buddha like. I don't wish to be negative, but I do feel, especially in times like these, that it's important to be honest and authentic. Small "elitisms" (if you will), are part of a larger dynamic. Its time we started looking at little closer at the reasons behind our choices. Thanks for reading. May all beings know peace.

Learning how to focus is so important in the chaos of our world and I believe this is a path for Peace. Second I'd like to say: If you are planning to attend a retreat for more than just a few days, prepare yourself. It's important to know there are a people who don't know how to sneeze into their elbow or just stay in their room when they are ill. Wear a mask if at all possible to prevent getting a cold. There are no open windows in the meditation hall so make sure you protect yourself. I didn't and now I have a raging cold. If food is important to you, bring your own extra food. If you are just a little bit late to the food line for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you will find most of it has been eaten. To be fair, they keep boiled eggs and dates for folks in the refrigerator. But, I was sorry I didn't bring my own extra food and was hungry most of the time. The coffee is wonderful, which made is bearable. I also had the misfortune of having an upstairs neighbor just over my head in the dormitory who kept late hours and dropped all kinds of mysterious objects during the night just as I was going to sleep, so I didn't get much sleep. The Manager of the retreat was helpful and created a sign for the door letting everyone know to maintain noble silence even in their room. Unfortunately, the neighbor didn't read the note on the door. The teachers were fine and the instructions were helpful, so it was worth it for me to go there. I wish I would've felt more protected, but maybe that's my job. That's why I'm writing to you so if you are planning to go you will be advised of what you might need to know to protect yourself. I've been to Spirit Rock many times and realize that maybe this is what happens when a business even a spiritual business grows and becomes more like a production line. Hope this is taken in a good spirit. That is my intention. Namaste

I'd been seeing an overzealous high-velocity chiropractor that was not a good fit for me, and resulted in debilitating pain in my side. Dr. Z was able to see me the day after I contacted him, at his lovely home office in San Rafael. He diagnosed me with a pinched nerve between my ribs. He kindly worked on me for two hours with his gentle yet effective touch, and I already felt 50% better after the session. The pain was completely gone within a few days after that first session. I had been in horrible pain for weeks before, so this felt like a miracle! I saw Dr. Z every week for a few weeks, then went to every other week, which is still my routine a year later. I've had chronic back pain for 2 decades, and I'm happy to say that I'm in the least amount of pain since my troubles started in my early 20s. I always look forward to my bi-weekly sessions with Dr. Z. He is incredibly kind and respectful. His method is gentle - no cracking or popping, no tools besides his hands. I always feel more calm and light after our sessions, and any pain that I'm having is significantly reduced afterwards. I love that he not only works on realigning my physical body, he also does lymphatic drainage, abdominal massage for my GI and women's health issues, and vagus nerve work. I have MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome) and some hypermobility / connective tissue laxity, and I've learned through this experience that my body benefits most from a light touch. Dr. Z is such a perfect fit for me and an amazing healer. I recommend him to everyone!

Doctors have said there was really nothing I could do about it. Dr. John has my feet pointing straight now. My allergy problems are becoming manageable and my energy is much better. I'm going to start taking his nutritional counseling soon and couldn't be more excited. Dr. Zeravich is a true healer. It's amazing what a few small pokes, prods and some belief can do. Thanks Dr. John!
