The cake was chocolate with a chocolate ganache filling; it was simply to die for! The cake was very moist, the chocolate was very rich and chocolatey and both the fondant and frosting underneath were mild and sweet, not overly sweet, waxy or greasy. Would absolutely order again, I know my son will, we live out of town (Chicago) so it will be next year before gramma can order another cake! It does not look, feel or taste like any pecan pie I have ever had. The topping looks like and feels like a "Cliff bar" (those granola type of energy bars). I would definitely pass on this pie. The pecan shortbread was my favorite because the flavor was so buttery and perfectly baked. Most of our guests liked the apple cheesecake bars best because eating smaller bars over time made them feel less guilty than eating a big piece of pie or cheesecake.
