My neighbors and myself are elderly and not one church in the area responded, even with a "no", to my question. We were locked in for days, and never mind the county helping anyone. They're even worse b/c they dumped loads of ice on our driveways to further prevent us from getting out!

The Pastor, the community, everyone is so welcoming and loving. This is a multicultural, Christian based church where the focus is on building your relationship with God. It is a "come as you are church" where the Pastor is always on point, engaging, smart and kind. The music ministry is AMAZING - my favorite part! There is a Kids Town for infants to 5th grade - my 9 year old often wants to stay for both services so he can stay in Kids Town. There is a youth ministry for young adults called Thrive. For adults there are community groups and fellowship around every corner. This is a welcoming place that really just wants to bring help and healing to the people of Southern Maryland. I lucked out because after morning service Pastor Black returned my call & told me they had a evening service. After I explained what I was looking for then he told me about himself, his family, and the Church. It seemed like a perfect match for me. I was so excited to go to the service. Due to a 3 year old Great Niece's temper tantrum I made it there with 5 minutes to spare. As soon as I walked in I KNEW I FOUND MY CHURCH! It was such a warm welcoming environment and everyone introduced themselves to me. The Pastor came straight up to me & welcomed me. It was a special night because they had a couple singers from out of town that did a performance. They were so good. The sermon was excellent & I could have listened to Pastor Black for hours. After the service I talked with several people including the Pastor's Mother & his lovely wife Tina who took time to give me some much needed information. God lead me to this Church. If you want a nice comfortable small town tasteful and anointed Church look no further!

Our inspection showed the inside of the church interior to be in typical post-Vatican II style. There is no organ. There is a high quality concert-size piano. The chapel is the entrance area of the church itself. In the entrance of the church proper, there is a nice sized eight-sided baptism font. There are church chairs instead of pews. August 2021 update…read more My favorite Catholic church in Calvert county! The new church was opened in 2010 and features water views and seating for about 800 worshipers. Father Ken Gill is the current pastor. Weekend Mass is Saturday at 4pm, Sunday at 8 and 11 am and 4pm. Very welcoming to visitors.
