My brother swears by QCP Quality Car Parts. He's mad into cars and is forever taking them apart and rebuilding them.

Both times the people on staff literally had no information and told me I'd have to try coming on a different day to speak to someone who knows anything about their inventory. So awful I cannot begin to explain. I would rather have a giant radio fall and crush me from the heavens than have to buy anything at this smoldering pile of garbage.

I spent about ten minutes viewing through the glass security case. I decided I what I wanted and asked if I could have it fitted. I was told that the guy that fits them was away to lunch and would not be back for 45 minutes if I wanted to wait around. I would have assumed that all staff would be able to fit a Sat Nav but none offered. So I left and they missed out on a 200euro sale. Very disappointed. I later went to Halfords in Coolock and received excellent customer service and made my purchase there.

Only if it was a program Cowboy Mechanics they would win! 12 weeks of lies and promises and in the end the car is not fixed! David Stokes Motors Limited promised to rebuild my automatic gearbox in 1 week and took a deposit. Two weeks later after a call was told that the car is on a test drive and promised to send an update. Nothing happened. When arrived at the garage the car wasn't even there and was told that it was a mix-up. Work only started after 3 weeks. Every call or visit was told and assured that it will be fixed at a given time. After several calls, texts and visits I started really worrying that something was not going well and asked David Stokes for an update and had a suspicion that the repair was not going as planned. Gearbox went to the third party for work they couldn't complete themselves ( broken bearing removal toll was an excuse). After 6 weeks I collected the car. Straight after leaving the gearbox was still not working properly and other issues appeared on the dashboard. Car sent back to the garage. After testing l I received a report and a text saying that a Solenoid has a fault. The car was again brought to a third party electrician and settings were changed. I mentioned to David that I am not happy that my car is going from one garage to another and still not fixed with a lot of problems. Had to listen to the atrocious language and swear for simply asking the question. Another week later after inspecting again as they still have issues and they have found dirt and metal fillings left in a gearbox. So I assume the job wasn't carried properly and the gearbox wasn't cleaned and caused damage again. Went to the garage to meet David Stokes and see if there is an update. The gearbox was taken apart and was told that the clutch is now damaged. I was told at the beginning that this part is fine. For me, it looked like every test and removal had more parts damaged and needed to order. Gearbox stripped again as Solenoid has no pressure. The car was tested by David and Radar Light, Engine Light and Start / Stop errors appeared on the dashboard. David Stokes said that he is not happy with it as it is revving up, gears are not as they should be and happy to fully refund the money as he and his, ''professional team'' can not find a solution to fix the car and solve the issues. Also, several Fault Errors were coming up on the dashboard. To get a refund again took several emails and messages. AVOID this place to save your time and money!
Franklin Motorcycles
Franklin Motorcycles are Ireland's only Indian Motorcycle dealer but you'd be hard pressed to see…read moreanymore than a handful of Indian Motorcycles on their showroom floor. They now specialise in selling off brand second hand bikes and resort to underhanded sales tactics. There is no accountability for anything leaving this shop due their high staff turnover, 6 mechanics in 2 years. The owner does not know anything about bikes, nor is he a biker and will deny any responsibility if something goes wrong. Making a quick Euro on a sale is more important to these guys than retaining customer loyalty and building relationships. I bought a motorcycle from here in December 2022 and when I got home found there was a large hole in one of the mufflers. Granted it was an old bike and overall it was in what I thought was impeccable condition and I paid at the higher end of the scale for it. The owner denied the hole was there when it left the shop ! But still replaced the mufflers with noisy aftermarket replacements as a "good will gesture". The current shop mechanic admitted to me that the rusty hole wasn't new which I have on camera. The mechanic who originally worked on the bike has since left. The owner then threatened me with his solicitor if I posted anything on social media about this and blocked me on Facebook so I couldn't review them there. To top it off the bike wasn't serviced as I was told it was. There was no coolant in the expansion tank, likely because it also had two holes in it, meaning there was no coolant being circulated for a liquid cooled bike !. The oil was old and had to be changed as was the air filter. This cost me several hundred in consumables and parts just to get the bike road worthy. No doubt the owner will reply with a well calculated ream of lies to this review like he normally does to anyone who leaves a bad review and just deny everything.
Indian dealers.....more like COWBOYS…read more The bike went in for the following work to be done: * Alternator gasket replacement causing oil leak * Fork seals * Brakes and brake fluid * New battery * Front and rear tyres * Carburetor cleaning / balancing When the bike was returned to me over the next number of days I would find: Alternator Gasket not fitted properly Brake fluid constantly leaking from master calendar onto tyres Chrome exhausts damaged by battery acid because the mechanic forgot to fit the breather hose Chrome side cover was ripped off and broken and they glued it back in place with silicone and said nothing. NEVER FITTED ANY BACK BRAKE SHOES. Front tyre is seaping air. Then you have the guy in the shop avoiding you and giving you bullshit excuses on a daily basis. I guess the legal route is the only way now. Guess if you have to do the work yourself because you can't trust these cowboy bike shops to do it properly for you. I will credit the guys on the engine work, it starts and ticks over lovely - but giving the bike back with poor quality work and more damage then avoiding the customer is NOT ON and I am posting here because they have blocked me on Facebook. No apology, no offer to fix the issues, they just blocked me and put their head back in the sand. UNPROFESSIONAL. avoid these people if you value your bike.

They must be the mac daddy of wipers cos now I hear NOTHING. A couple of months later & I still hear NOTHING. They were worth every penny. I happened to be in halfords shortly buying these & the same wipers were over €30. Whoever said you pay more to shop local was lying. Hi everyone. Just…read morewanted to give a warning against Germaniks (Michael Riva / BMWPlanetDude). Last September, I bought an NBT Evo unit, screen and cables. I opted for NBT Evo as it seemed much more capable than NBT unit. I was unaware of the fact that it was a ID4 unit originally with only 2GB RAM upgraded to run ID5/ID6. After months of chasing, Mick eventually delivered my unit to me a few days before Christmas. During testing before the install, I immediately noticed a high-pitched buzzing from the screen, and sent a message to Mick with a video. It also crashes constantly, and is completely unfit for purpose. I sent it back, and Mick upgraded the firmware saying it would resolve the crashing - it didn't. He gave me a new voltage regulator, and this didn't resolve the screen buzzing, which he said he couldn't hear. For something he said I would have back within few days, it took around a month to return, during which time I really considered contacting the Police. I've finally managed to get in contact with Mick again, and he is refusing to honour warranty on a faulty product. I've asked for it to be swapped to an NBT unit, or an NBT Evo 4GB as previously agreed on the phone, but he has declined. Please do not purchase anything from him. I know he had a good reputation previously, but this has certainly not been the case in recent months. I don't want anyone losing out on the amount of money I have.
