However, 6 weeks later an infection (present originally) had set in. I returned - no apology, charged me $137 for the appointment and was told 2 options: tooth removal (for $360) or root canal ($600-$700). I went elsewhere and had tooth removed. What a nerve (no pun intended). DCP was NEGLIGENT by not x-raying tooth initially and they then had the GAUL to charge me for return visit and then tried to charge me for tooth removal/root canal treatment!! To say I was upset at the LACK OF CARE, NEGLIGENCE AND GREED FOR MONIES is an understatement. Ill be back for you DCP! I could never recommend DCP.
Never ever going there again. I felt degraded and was made…read moreto feel unsafe. I had a panic attack and I tried to notify the Dentist and she just proceeded to keep going. I'm actually traumatised. She made me feel unheard when I was trying to indicate I was in pain by hushing me and treating me like I'm a child. I was also lectured about my life style and decisions. She was in no position to assume anything about my life. Fair enough educate but to talk down and belittle me was absolutely disgusting. Very unprofessional. Save your money and your well-being and go somewhere else. Tooth was done but the trauma has stayed with me and probably will for the rest of my life.

"Your smile can be more powerful than the spoken word. It can instantly convey to those around you,…read moreyour mood, status and confidence". These are the words that greet you on their excellent website and set the tone for what great service is offered at Lucas Dental. The clinic itself is a beautiful building and already makes you feel calmer about being there (because let's face it nobody actually enjoys going to the dentist). There is a huge plasma you can watch to try and distract you from the dentist trauma that is to come and plenty of reading material. The walls are also almost all glass and offers an amazing view of the courtyard below, equipped with tranquil water features and heaps of flora. The staff are lovely and the dentists make you feel so much less stressed. They are very good in explaining your problem and treatments in normal-people terms and make you feel confident in their abilities. They also offer great support regarding finances and will create a payment plan that will suit you and your budget. There is also no pressure to come back straight away; they just let you know what needs to be done and you go ahead and book the appointments as soon as your budget can dictate.
I've been going to the West Lakes Medical Centre ever since I was a little kid. I've never gone to…read morethe dental section so I can't comment on that, but I am experienced when it comes to visiting the doctor. I've seen all the doctors here at least a few times for different reasons, and they've all been nothing short of great. The customer service is also very much appreciated. For as long as I can remember it's always been the same lady working at the reception desk and she's always been friendly and helpful, and she even recognises me when I call and book an appointment over the phone. What a memory! I rate this medical centre with two thumbs up!
After munching into an apple (you know the non-iPhone ones), I could feel something between my…read moreteeth. After a quick floss, I could feel something funny with the back of one of my bottom teeth, which made me really worried. Whilst I try to take good care of my teeth, it had been quite a while since I had been to the dentist. This made me very nervous, I already knew I had a chipped tooth, so I started preparing myself mentally for the countless fillings and three extractions that were certain to follow. I was greeted by a smiling Dr Liz, who was running perfectly on time. After I explained my issue, Dr Liz assured me that is was almost certainly not a chipped a tooth, and that a clean would fix it in no time. Things were explained clearly as the clean progressed, even pointing out that I must be a left handed person because I was significantly better at cleaning the right side of my mouth. Right about now you are probably wondering if I was given a little too much nitrous oxide for my treatment, but the truth is, I actually had a good experience at the dentist... The treatment was so much nicer than the stress I was putting myself through before - and enough to convince me that the recommended annual checkup is a good idea. So for your next dental emergency (or even just the checkup you have been putting off) I recommend this place (and Dr Liz), I am pretty sure you will leave smiling.
