4 star for 3 star price. The beds are really good and the staff is very friendly. Good place for short business stays.

BED BUGS at this hotel. Do NOT stay here. Not only were my daughter and I bitten badly all over,…read morebut they refused to refund my money. The maintenance guy pretended not to see the bed bugs in the headboard that I showed him, and the front desk clerk expressed no sympathy and never apologized. The front desk clerk the next day lied to me about the manager's hours. I eventually got my money back but it took me hours on the phone during what was supposed to be my vacation. It cost us hundreds of dollars and the painful bites made the rest of our vacation sub-par. In contrast, I commend Expedia, through which I booked the hotel, who were sympathetic and did everything they could to help.

Ugh! Bed Bugs! This is now the Days Inn Montreal East (HoJo did well to get out of this…read morelocation!) After a month, I am still suffering from BED BUGS bites all over my body. They don't burn and itch but they are still irritating. I am now dealing with scars and scabs. I travel quite a bit and never had this happen to me - ever! The place looked ok from the photos but the room I got was not anything like it. It was an older second floor room at the end of the inn. First time at a Days Inn - now the last time! I travelled to this end of Montreal for a weekend job. I need to return again in the near future and this will never be the destination again. I posted a review on another site and guess what, the manager responded to my posting. Unfortunately, it was for another guest who ended up getting bitten. He got a refund and they changed his room. I, unfortunately, was already enroute back home and as bed bugs go, if you were never bitten before, it could take days for bites to show up. Mine showed up morning after my second night there. So...I had the pleasure of being eaten alive twice! The Manager was apologetic when I spoke to her (she wanted me to call her) however did nothing for the fact that I paid two nights for two rooms at her place. I really should have been offered a full refund. Maybe I should have posted all the photos that I took. Stay away! You have been warned!

We stayed here for a week. It has close proximity to an elderly parent we were visiting…read more I was a little nervous when my husband sent the reservation and I checked reviews. But any fears were not founded. I am fairly picky when it comes to hotel rooms. I'm looking for clean, of course, but also comfort. Chiefly, the bed. As a side sleeper with swimming injuries, I find most mattresses uncomfortable. Sometimes I carry a foam topper for extended trips! So I was expecting a rough night. Even after sitting on the plane alll day, I slept for 9 hours. It is a Bamboo bed. I can't tell which one because the mattress is nicely swaddled in sheets and covers. I'll ask at the front desk. The restaurant is fine -- but open only for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, not the between hours. the hotel is in close walking distance to an IGA grocery store. Because I enjoy half and half in my coffee (Keurig), I purchased some and stored it in the fridge. We were on the 5th floor and had a lovely view. It's nicely decorated in an understated way. Towels are big and fluffy. Storage was ample for us -- four drawers overall, with a nightstand that also has a drawer. The desk was big enough for us both to have our laptops and various items for charging. Really, the bed is the dealmaker for me. And this bed is WONDERFUL. Not too soft (husband dislikes that) and not too hard. Supportive (we both are tall and average weight). We will definitely stay here next time we visit our relative.

I did like that there was free parking. And the ambiance when you first walk in, looks nice. Those are my two stars. I arrived late after grocery shopping and was famished. I entered my room to discover that there was absolutely zero kitchenware. No plates, no pans, no utensils, nothing. (Never had this experience at a space with a full kitchen.) I had to ask for it and they obliged, but I was waiting for a long time. Also, no dish soap or sponge (glad I brought my own). I learned that the vent above the stove was extremely loud and I'm not sure it even worked. I felt hot boxed in my own room and the windows didn't even open. So I constantly smelled like food. Ugh, eww! The stove seemed to leak when I used it? Very bizarre experience for me. Either that, or my pot had a hole in it. Both weird to imagine. So, I just cleaned it up, since it was so late at night. Also, there was a broken toe kick under the sink (that's the piece that touches the floor). And a cabinet drawer door ripped completely off when I attempted to open it. It seems the screws have weathered away the material of the door. When I went to take a shower, I learned it took at least 10 minutes to get hot water. This is unacceptable. There were ants everywhere! They came out of a drain in the bathroom floor, seen in the picture, lower left corner. The shower curtain was filthy, as if someone splattered hair dye all over it. On top of all of this, the Internet service was extremely slow to non existent! And the hallway wreaked of cigarette smoke on my last night! Definitely will not be returning.

Very helpful for English speakers. - Free parking! You do have to inform the front desk if you will be parking your car there though. They just need your plate number. - Free wifi! I had no problems connecting. - Clean rooms, reasonable size. - HUGE mall (Place de Versailles) across the street. - Close to groceries (Loblaw's), Walmart, restaurants, autoroute 25. - Outdoor pool. - Metro line (green) right outside. Very easy trip to downtown. - Easy walk to Olympic stadium and parks. - Fridge & coffee maker in 2 double bed room. - Affordable! The suites aren't that bad either! Cons: - No microwave. That's okay though, didn't need it on this trip. - Only two sets of towels by default, but it's easy to acquire more. Just ask the front desk! - No fitness center. Walkable neighborhood though. - The bed mattresses might be on the hard side. I can see how this might bother some people, but I slept fine. - Hm... No conditioner in the bathroom?
