Wish I could give negative stars. The hotel is run down but absolutely disgusting. Front door lacks security. One could easily gain entry even when locked. Showered leaked all night long to the point the toilet and floor were covered with water. The entire length of the room's floor so sticky it rivals the floors at any Waffle House. Furniture was filthy. Sheets had cigarette burn holes. And pillows if that's what you can call them were just lumps of filling. So old all the batting had just formed balls. Oh and let's talk about the bathroom door jam. Looks as if there was a murder or some gruesome accident. The cleaning crew missed something that looks like blood splattI'm sure there are things I'm forgetting. Probably a defense mechanism lol Please don't waste your money here. They charge you over $100 for garbage. Just keep your money and sleep in the car.

No step, no proper curtain, just sloppy cheap ass sh*t!!!!!

The lady at the front desk is very accommodating, however, her boss is not. I'm having to share a single bedroom with my brother and had to purchase my own cot AND blankets. Asked for some extra pillows and got one leaving three to split with my brother. I like to dry my feet when I get out of the shower but that's not exactly easy here. (Pic related) I just gotta say, if you're the boss man reading this, you are saving money in the wrong places and your "finished" rooms show that.

You get what you pay for here. It's decent. The front desk ladies have always been super nice and accommodating. The room was clean.

We had looked at a place on Arnold AFB, but at the time it was government shutdown and so there was no chance of that happening. It would have been interesting to stay the night there though. So we went into town, and looked around at various places. The Best Western was the best fit for us, so that is where we went. Check in was an easy process, no issues there, and the room was clean and appropriate. Pricing was good, particularly since they honored a price I had been set by another vendor. We slept well, and glory unto glory, the shower had a decent shower head in it that allowed for a proper shower, not one of these rain shower heads that are absolute garbage in my book. If we were to ever come through this area again, we would absolutely consider the Best Western.

As we walked in there were plenty of unpleasant surprises. Including spiderwebs in the corner of the ceiling, the air vent being full of suspicious solids including hair maybe? Cocoons?? Bugs??? Who knows. The couch was dirty and hideous, the floors and toilet were dirty, and there a very weird stale smell wafting through the air. The cherry on top of the awful room was the straight-from-a-horror-film exposed brick cut-outs in the wall. However, onto the only positive of the stay: Karen at reception. She was so kind to my mom during her first stay at this hotel, and this visit too she was patient, kind, and empathetic. If you do stay at this hotel, make sure to try and look for Karen at the front desk. She was the one thing that made this experience somewhat enjoyable. If you choose to stay at this property, be sure to check your room before you unload all of your belongings.

Parking is great for the size of the Inn. There are times where it can get a little full, but there are additional parking spots on campus or at the Hospital nearby. The staff is typically polite and willing to help direct you to your destination. I had a great experience during my stay. The room itself was clean and felt fresh. An opportunity for some of the rooms would be to take a look at the plumbing. My room in particular had slow drainage and the toilet would run for some time after flushing. Luckily the bathroom door was solid enough to block out the running toilet noise when viewing the television. While I did not partake in dinner at Shakerrag (onsite restaurant) this trip, I have had their offerings before for an event at the Inn and it was pretty good. Decent pricing (for Sewanee) as well. Overall it was a good stay and I had a peaceful night at the end of the hall. Not too much foot traffic and easy enough to get around.

I had the pleasure of staying for three days and two nights in the Georgia Room at the Grand Luxe…read more I rarely stay at a Bed and Breakfast, because the few times I have, the rooms have been too close to adjoining guests and the noise was distracting. This was never a problem here. I had an adjoining room but did not know the other guest. I never once had any issues with noise from the other rooms. In fact, I was highly impressed with how little I heard while there. It felt like home from the first moment I arrived. The room was light and airy, cozy, and with the most comfortable bed you could imagine (seriously I wish I had looked to see what it was). The adjoining bathroom was the perfect size, and had a large and comfortable tub/shower combo. The bath felt luxurious and the water temp never disappointed. The kitchen was stocked with a nice selection that fit the needs of most diets for breakfast. I was worried there might not be a selection for someone limiting carbs, but there were perfect little crustless quiches available, which made my day. I appreciated that thoughtfulness and that I had access to anything I might need there. It had a full coffee bar which included breakfast and green teas. I was traveling with my adult siblings and we loved that we could meet in the evening and play games at the large dining room table off the foyer, or sit outside on one of the porches to chat and chill. There is a lovely restaurant next door called Emil's and a really interesting and delicious Celtic coffee shop a block down (try the black eye with sugar free hazelnut syrup- you won't be disappointed). All in all, we had a lovely time and I was sad to go. I've never slept quite so well before while away from home and that luxury was much appreciated. If you're coming to the area or nearby, I highly recommend making reservations here.
