I thought this was a hottub control until in the tub..I realized the previous guest had used it as ashtray and that it is a jet covering.
    Casey R.

I booked the king suite (room 118) so that I could take a nice, relaxing bath in the whirlpool tub. The room itself isn't too bad, but definitely isn't nice- especially with COVID restrictions in place. When entering, you are in the living area. The bathroom is to the right. In this room there is a pull out couch, small dining table, counter space with a microwave and mini fridge, a desk with chair, TV w/ stand (26"?), and a lounge chair. There is a doorway into the bedroom (no door) right across from the bathroom, with a large whirlpool bathtub, TV w/ stand/dresser (26"?), king size bed, 2 nightstands, a desk with no chair, and a lounge chair. Both rooms have exit doors to a little courtyard on the opposite wall as the entrance door, and multiple lamps. The furniture is outdated and grungy. The lampshades are tattered. The room has multiple bulbs burnt out, and I had to turn each lamp on individually. In the bedroom, one of the end tables drawer faces was chipped and falling apart. Where the carpet meets the wall/tile is falling apart and there are broken tiles There were finger smudges on the headboard. The sheets seemed clean, but the comforter was stained in multiple areas. In the living room, the corners in the ceiling were covered in cobwebs above the "kitchenette". Many stains and dirty spots on the walls. The bathroom seemed generally clean, but this bathroom needs a new toilet seat. This one is visually "peeling" and falling apart-definitely not up to par for a hotel. The slower curtain has rips/holes in it. The whirlpool drains slowly, and is missing some pieces, but that is what I came for and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I was able to sit up with my knees to my chest and the water covered to my neck (I'm 6'). There are 4 jets (2 on each end opposite sides of each other) that aren't very powerful. There are 2 different controls (air and water pressure I assume). The tub was big enough for 2 tall & large adults, the towels provided, on the other hand, were not. Also, for being a non-smoking room, there were ashes in the bathroom, along the bathtub wall, and between the bed and end table. They either need new staff or need to train staff how to properly clean in a normal era, but especially in this COVID era. They clearly don't deep clean, and barely clean in general. I got the room at a discounted rate. The normal rate was $96 I believe. I would not have paid that much and been satisfied or stayed if I'd not had the discount.

Fix your flag. It is a disgrace. It's a small purchase and 5 mins if work, I can only imagine what your rooms look like.

Overall, a great stay. A couple notes:…read more - The woman who had originally checked us in was a little unfriendly, but warmed up and reciprocated our energy once we started talking to her. - My cousin requested that I put in this review that they add Franks Red Hot Sauce to the breakfast menu (which wasn't SUPER impressive, but not bad for a free/included breakfast. Wish the coffee would have been hotter.) - We weren't planning to swim anyway but the whirl pool was out of service, which would have sucked for people looking forward to hot tubbing, but that's a temporary thing out of their control and the signage was appropriate to convey that message. Other than that, I have no complaints! Clean rooms, mostly friendly staff, good atmosphere, comfy beds!

On July 21, 2025, at 18:20, I checked in having a three-night reservation. I advised GM Nikesh Chudhary that I would be checking out on Wednesday morning (a two night stay instead). He ran the amount for the three-night stay stating I did not give him 48 hours' notice!! When I confronted him that this was not right nor ethical, Nikesh Chudhary raised his voice in a disrespectful, highly unprofessional manner. He stated loudly that I didn't follow the rules and "I want my money". His behavior and attitude raised concerns for my safety. As I left for my room, he continued in a loud disrespectful tone that I needed to call Wyndnam. When I spoke to the Wyndnam call center, the representative advised me it's up to the hotel to handle any billing issues. The representative felt so bad for me and but was s unable to reverse the charges due to corporate policy. General Manager Chudhary clearly was dishonest, completely ignorant of Wyndams policies, and refused to discuss any reasonable compromise with a customer whose plans had changed. The people in Fort Dodge are wonderful. Many suggested there were much cleaner, newer and friendlier hotels in town.

We unfortunately didn't get to make use of the pool or fitness room and the breakfast bar was limited to packaged items. The staff were very nice and washed our laundry for us since no laundromats were open in the area. Cons: worst WiFi ever. To be here for 5 weeks and have such awful WiFi was pretty bad. Several of us had online classes to keep up with and video conferencing. If you're here for business pick a different hotel. They pay for a speed of less than 1 MBPS. That shouldn't even be an option anymore. Additionally, the cleaning staff were very lazy. I had to continuously ask for more toilet paper and water. Even asking and taking my room number it never improved. The cleaning staff did the bare minimal. I would give them 2-3 stars if I could rate them alone.

I came to Fort Dodge from Montana, moved me, my 5 children, and roommate to this location after suffering a devastating fire, to be a General Manager of the Days Inn. After two weeks of working everyday, over 16 hour shifts a day, and working off the clock most of the time (all of which was expected and instructed by the area manager and owner of the hotel), I was terminated by Days Inn for not coming in on time when I wasn't even on the schedule (it was supposed to be my day off). They had been letting us stay on property and fired me days before Thanksgiving which was also my twins twelfth birthday and then made the cops remove us from property without even politely requesting us to first cuz I would have left willingly if they had. I endured so much more strong actions by this company that I plan on getting legal representation and taking legal action. But after all that, my family and I came to the Economy Inn because we had nowhere to go and knew no one. The front desk worker was so amazing, courteous, polite, and compassionate. They worked with us and gave us an amazing room for an amazing deal (and I didn't even inform them of what had just happened to us; they are naturally of this nature). The entire time we've stayed at this motel, they have performed some of the best service and customer service I have ever seen in the industry. They were attentive, prompt, efficient, courteous, accommodating, and extremely caring. Any concern I had (which was nil) was taken care of immediately and with the utmost care and consideration. The wifi is phenomenal. The beds and bedding extremely comfortable. The furniture was in pristine condition as well as the interior of the room. Amenities were supplied daily and of good quality. Supplies and service regular and fully adequate and stocked. They even have NFC card readers for the doors. They have been so amazing and amenable, I believe this is the best motel stay I have ever experienced and honestly it was because of the genuine care and consideration they provided that made this experience beyond any of my expectations. The people that work here are worth so much for being such good people. I will always stay here in the future ana would recommend it to my sweet grandmother or anyone.
