Nice hotel at the base of the ski mountain. There is a Starbucks for coffee drinkers, a fire pit by…read morethe entrance, a restaurant / bar and small kitchens in the rooms (at least the one we got before had one). The kitchen wasn't huge but was enough to make a basic breakfast and dinner. Also, can't beat the location because you can walk right off into the gondola / ski school. Oh, and there is a play room for the kids (added pictures) in case parents need a break while kids run around for a bit.

Great hotel that's walking distance to gondola at Mont Sainte Anne…read more We stayed here for 3 nights over Christmas break. We stayed in a 1 br penthouse suite. The king bed was on the upper loft and a sofa bed for the kiddos in the living room. Full kitchen and a washer and dryer in the units we're great. The hotel has a really nice indoor and outdoor pool and stays open really late which is really nice. Didn't get a chance to use the gym but the setup looked really solid. We had breakfast included with our room and was a pretty standard fare. Eggs, protein, pastries etc. I found it to be perfectly adequate but my wife wasn't that impressed. They have ev charging on-site. 6 stalls I believe? Only had trouble 1 of the days to find an open space. People don't tend to be that courteous and move their cars once done with charging. Overall it was a great stay and a great value. Will definitely be back.

For my birthday weekend, my mom wanted to go on a trip. Last year we did the Outer Banks and had a…read moreglorious time and she wanted to do it again. This time, she chose (at a seriously questionable time in our country) to cross our border and go to Quebec and Sainte Anne de Beauprie. What a beautiful trip thru NY going thru first the Palisades, then the Catskills and finally the Adirondacks, then the border crossing Compared to Niagara, this is a let down. When we FINALLY got to our rental, we were severely underwhelmed and frankly more than a little nervous. It is not very welcoming. Frankly it looks like one of those hotels that rent monthly. We won't even go into the giant mess that is the parking lot or how there were no instructions that we were in the rear. Nope. Just a lockbox code and password for the wifi. The listing in Expedia lead us to believe that essentials would be provided and boy, they must still think to be in the 18th century with what is essential. No paper towels, no tissues, no table to place drinks other than the dining table, the soap provided are the SMALLEST bars I have ever seen. It was impossible to use in the shower. The listing showed pictures of green grass, flowing water from the St Lawrence river, adorable primitive rock sculptures (you know the ones from the Quebec Olympics) PHOTOSHOP anyone? End of April and it looks like a bog. The water is all silty mud. Rock figures? Torn down to make fire pits filled with trash and cigarette butts. Getting inside there was a bit of confusion as there was no information about the keypad being a lockbox for a key, mom had to reach out to the owner for additional info. Getting up the steps to the place is not for the faint of heart. This may be a great place for youngsters but our old knees were not up to the challenge. Every single time we went in or out we took a big risk of falling. The first impression was a kind one. At night it appeared to be a well kept, clean unit which was a relief. The bedrooms are quaint and down a longish hallway ending at the bathroom. Let me say that the single complaint I have of the bathroom is the size of the soap. The baseboards need a good clean but everything else was just fine. It was clean and ready for use. That is very important for travel. We were so tired we settled down to go to sleep. This was where our nightmare began. My mother chose the room closest to the bathroom as she is up a lot at night. In the room is a VERY thin door that connects to the adjacent unit. When our neighbors got home, every noise set our dog off. The walls were so thin we could hear them open something in cellophane. The beds are like sleeping on gym mats. They are so firm when you wake you have instant backache. Not great when you plan on walking around! The next day we were able to see that in reality, it was not as clean as first thought. The floors are very dirty, like in DESPERATE need of a good mopping. There is dust everywhere and (shudder) there were fingernail clippings on the couch in the living room. There was also food crumbs and long hair. Basically could have used a good vacuuming. The best (sarcasm font) part was Thursday when we got back, there were two hunters cleaning their kill in the parking lot, in front of everyone. Beautiful Snow Geese being butchered right there for all to see. This is NOT a site one wishes to see while on vacation in the great white north! Considering how much was charged for this room, I almost want to say it was a 'Gotcha!'. It almost took away from our experience. I would recommend the charming looking place up the street. The stars I give are the views of the Basilica at night and the St Lawrence with Quebec city in the distance. I can't in all honesty give any stars for the residence.
