We booked a room on the Gold Floor and had a great room, very small bathroom. The cleaning service was inconsistent. We got mouthwash after 3 days but not to start. No slippers like typical Fairmonts. The Gold Floor lounge is nice. Definitely not our favorite gold level lounge but still nice. Limited healthy protein options at breakfast. Vincent was our absolute favorite. We made an attempt to sit in his section every morning. His bright spirit was the perfect way to start the day. The bar downstairs is beautiful. It has limited seating and lots of non-guests want to experience it. The cocktails are so good and service is great. We are headed back in the winter and are looking forward to seeing it during the holidays.

The king bed was on the upper loft and a sofa bed for the kiddos in the living room. Full kitchen and a washer and dryer in the units we're great. The hotel has a really nice indoor and outdoor pool and stays open really late which is really nice. Didn't get a chance to use the gym but the setup looked really solid. We had breakfast included with our room and was a pretty standard fare. Eggs, protein, pastries etc. I found it to be perfectly adequate but my wife wasn't that impressed. They have ev charging on-site. 6 stalls I believe? Only had trouble 1 of the days to find an open space. People don't tend to be that courteous and move their cars once done with charging. Overall it was a great stay and a great value. Will definitely be back.

Exceptional Stay in the Heart of Old Québec…read more L'Hôtel du Vieux-Québec was our home for a six-day holiday in Québec City, and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. Our double queen room with kitchenette was spacious, immaculately clean, quiet, and exceptionally comfortable. After long days exploring the city, we particularly appreciated the deep soaking tub, the rainfall shower, and what may have been some of the best water pressure we've experienced in a hotel anywhere. Small details matter, and this hotel gets them right. The location is fantastic--perfectly situated within Old Québec and within easy walking distance of the city's historic sites, restaurants, shops, and attractions. Despite being in the heart of everything, the hotel was remarkably peaceful and quiet. One of our favorite amenities was the guest lounge and its outstanding coffee machine, which quickly became part of our daily routine. We also opted for the breakfast package, and it was a delight. Each morning we awoke to a basket of fresh breakfast goodies hanging on our door: fresh pastries, juice, yogurt, and other treats. We never tired of it. As a fun local note, visitors should know that the beloved pain au chocolat is called a "chocolatine" here, just as it is in the south of France! What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is its people. M. Pierrôt deserves special recognition. He was warm, helpful, knowledgeable, and always greeted us with a genuine smile. The pillows were a combo of very flat and normal to suit different sleepers. The room and bathroom were very clean. We didn't really hear other guests. The motel even has a tanning salon. It fit our needs perfectly. The front desk staff is welcoming and friendly. Great value and worth a stay.

My fellow travelers had a room that was even more phenomenal because of the view it had over the water and the cruise ships that were coming and going. Hotel staff were always helpful with suggestions for places to go or neighborhoods where we'd find a selection of restaurants to eat at. In the evenings there is a small and comfortable area to order drinks and to listen to the guitarist or to simply sit and watch the fireplace. Although it is a high priced hotel, I would absolutely return. Its location is perfect. Walkable throughout the old town area and to the port. The only minor complaint we had was that we arrived late and the bar was closed. We were a little hungry so the front desk receptionist offered us some snacks from the mini bar. We should have realized these snacks would be mini bar pricing even though he handed them to us from the reception desk. $26 of chips and pretzels showed up on the bill! Our mistake. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again though. The bed was comfortable. The shower great too. And the service was very friendly.

Not over the top nice but they do their job well. - Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite perks aren't too shabby. Best perk was the welcome gift - I chose the breakfast and it was much more than you'd expect from a "continental breakfast." I will share more about breakfast in a Cosmos review. Cons: - room thermostat - it worked the first 2 days but then completely stopped working. I had set the temp to 77 (I was cold) and it has been consistently sitting at a 71-72. Not sure if it's because it's really cold outside but dang. - Elevators. There's only 2 and if you're staying on the top floor, be prepared to make multiple stops on the way up and down. There were many times where I had to wait 15-20 mins to enter the elevator. Something to keep in mind when the hotel is busy. - No room upgrades - limited options - it's in the middle of no where. The area is being developed and so there's not much within a 15 min walking distance. Without a car, we were limited to eating at Cosmo's 3x a day for 8 days
