HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE We had a similar experience as the other 1 star review. We were not acknowledged when we entered and it took 5 minutes for the lady in the showroom who was training a new person on the computer to ask us if we needed help. There was another couple there ahead of us and they were browsing the quartz. There was a man in the office and he didn't come out to cover for anyone. The female employee asked if she could help us finally and I indicated I was looking to replace my countertops (I didn't specify which room). She then said she needed to fill out a sheet for me and left me standing and went to sit down to fill out the spec sheet. Instead of inviting me to sit down as well, she started asking me personal information (name, phone number, email, address) and not wanting to shout at her across the showroom, I sat down with her and went over the sheet with her. She asked if I had measurements and I said my husband had texted me a computer drawn image and I could email it to them. As I was attempting to do so, she stated they didn't have good Internet connectivity and perhaps I could stand out in the parking lot to see if it would go through. It's the middle of January in Indiana and it's 28° outside. My daughter went out to try and get it to go through, but it failed. We tried a second time and after having my daughter stand outside in the freezing cold for 10+ minutes, I told her to come back in because this is ridiculous. I then looked at my wifi access and they have at least 5 wifi access points at Quality Surfaces, but none of them are public access, which is also ridiculous. Asking your customers to stand outside to get something to go through when all you have to do is create a public access point for wifi is beyond stupid. The female employee then offered to just DRAW the measurements for us (something she could have offered at the onset, further wasting our time). While she and the new employee were entering in my information, my daughter and I began to look for additional options for solid surface countertops, as I didn't really want to spend the money on quartz. The female employee then began lurking and asked "so you're thinking about solid surface instead?" In a disappointed tone. I explained to her (though I didn't have to) that we are replacing our counters in a home we will likely not be in much longer and I didn't want to spend a fortune replacing the countertops for that reason. Instead of going back to help the new employee, she began rifling through the solid surface samples with me - as though she knew what I was looking for. I stopped looking and gave her my selections. We sat there for another 20 minutes while she trained the new employee on how to enter in my information. She was bent over the desk in an inappropriate manner and her shirt had risen up, exposing her back. It was extremely unprofessional looking. She never said "we will be with you in a moment" or asked the new employee to just watch her enter the information in...we were just... left there waiting. The other customers had been taken out to the remnant yard by the man in the office during all of this, but they were equally ignored by ALL of the employees once they returned, no one asked them to sit down, or told them what the next step in the process was. Finally, very tired of waiting on two people to give me a simple quote, we left. What should have been an enjoyable experience was marred by an employee being rude, inconsiderate, ineffective and unhelpful. Later this day we went to Räke Surfaces, who informed us they had just been bought by Quality Surfaces. Tate at Räke was professional and asked what I was looking for and was inquisitive and Incredibly professional. I encouraged him to show Quality Surfaces what professionalism looks like, but somehow I don't think QS will entertain improvement, based on what I experienced. If you own this business and you want to stay in business, please understand that people come to your showroom to spend a lot of money, the least you can do is acknowledge them and act like you care about their business. Please take a page from the professionals at Räke and tell your employees to act like they have some sense and pride in appearance. Otherwise, don't offer a showroom experience. read more

I called before I went in the show room, was told I didn't need an appointment, so I went ahead and headed over. I'd already had a bad experience with another countertop company in the area and am excited about updating my kitchen. When I got there the lady working in the lobby ignored me, this is where the bad customer service starts....she could of acknowledged me and let me know that she'd get to me as soon as she was finished with the customer she was with, but not a word. I understood that I was a walk in though and was willing to wait. The phone rang, she answered it and left the customer in the store hanging for at least 5 minutes while she handled the call, couldn't she of have taken a message? I was taught that the customers in the store come first. She finally acknowledged as she headed out the door with the other customer, the first thing out of her mouth in a stern tone was "Do you have an appointment?" I told her "no" while thinking it was good thing I didn't because I've been here for going on 30 minutes and you're just now accepting my presence. She looked like she was having a hard time handling her two customers in the showroom so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and waited. She actually left us in the showroom alone. While waiting, another employee came in with his customers.....no acknowledgement, didn't even look at us. Another customer walks in, I ask her a few questions, like did she have an appointment, she seemed upset and asked if it was required, I explained that I was curious because I was told I didn't need one. She then clued me on how she had been had treated and how she had left a $2000 deposit and no one ever got back with her to come measure. Then the sales lady comes back, rudely asks the new lady I'd been chatting with if she had an appointment, when she says no and that she'd made a deposit way back in September and just wanted to know what was going, she was told that her estimate was emailed to her, and then....get this.....when she said she didn't get it the lady snapped at her and asked if she checked her spam, her reply was yes, every day, the lady who works there says "well I'll have to look it up" again rudely....why would you argue with someone who gave you $2000? Why would you not even say "Hi" to me when I walked in the showroom? At this point, I stood up and said, I don't like the customer service in this place and walked out, plus, I didn't want to loose $2000. Guess, they can't deal with more than one customer in their store and they don't know how to have a polite conversation or at lease greet people who walk in, not going back. Get some customer service training and stop taking people's money and not doing the work! read more

I am really disappointed in the way our countertop installation was planned and the disorganization and miscommunication surrounding it. This past Monday my window was 12-4 which I drove from N. Indy to be here for and unfortunately I got a call from someone from QS at 2:45 pm saying the installer was running behind and that it would be about an hour after which I said okay. At 4:08 pm I got a call from the driver/installer saying his truck went off the road and he needed a tow which he still did not get and said he still had 2 more installs to get to today before me after he got the tow so he urged me to call QS and speak with someone. I tried calling various outlets, emailing several people, and facebook messaging the company but the main line shuts off at 4pm to which I could not get a reply. Finally I called him back to get a private number to his boss and he said the only number he had. I called his boss, left a message, and finally got a call back from him to which he said he was not sure about what was going to happen and that he didn't have the authority to reschedule this major mishap. I reiterated that I drove 2 hours down from Indy to be here today for the install and organized my contractors to complete the plumbing 24 hours later under the assumption the job would be completed. I am not so much as to frustrated with the truck troubles as I understand that these things happen but what I am disappointed with is the lack of communication from someone who has an authority at QS to ensure this job gets completed as soon as possible (as in rescheduling me for first thing for the next day if possible) and disappointed with the fact that I have had to reach out and waste all this time trying to contact someone that can help me as opposed to someone from the company reaching out to me to offer some solutions. His boss left the conversation saying he would have someone call me in the morning. As you know there is traffic in Martisnville right now and I also work full time so I had to move my schedule around to be there and I also had to call my contractors and tell them that I was now in limbo trying to figure out when the install would be completed (in other words, a domino effect for not only me but contractors who also have other jobs to complete). I mentioned to his boss that I need this done ASAP and suggested that we reschedule to the next day but needed a notice to move some things around with needing 2 hours to drive to Bloomington and having to work my work schedule around. He said he couldn't tell me if this was possible because of other jobs scheduled already for tomorrow and wouldn't know until the morning (which is also disappointing because one would think that since my job couldn't be completed through no fault of my own that I would have priority to have an installation the next day - with the other team that has a working truck). The work itself is fine but considering all the extra stress and unprofessionalism surrounding the install from the actual QS shop I would consider checking out another company (even if slightly more expensive) to spare yourself all this extra work. In the end, I got an apology and finally was able to get them installed (after they called me in the morning the next day and said they would make it a priority to get it done that day) but it left me with having to sort everything else out at a moments notice on the same day because they couldn't tell me the evening prior which wasn't fair to me. Will not return and will not recommend to my neighbors and friends at Eagle Pointe. read more

I purchased my kitchen granite top which included installation and measure and my bathrooms were from the smaller remnants section that did not include installation and measure. I brought my measurements and had measured it out in the wrong units and had to make unit conversions on site. While doing so, I actually used the wrong conversion factor, I over measured by 20% and in the remnants sale, you had to also pay for the wastage. So we were 100% sure it will fit since we found pieces that were over measured. I realized it much later after we selected and were about to pay, and made sure it still work and it did. Kevin was the operations supervisor so I bet he knew what he was talking about. He even told me that since we had so much more material we could change the seams to a better location. An appointment was made to measure and they had a precision laser system. We told the person measuring all the things we wanted done and it was all good. They sent me the final drawings two nights before installation as they were going to fabricate it the day before installation. The drawings did take into account everything i wanted. This is where things started to go downhill. The day before the installation, I get a call and am told they want to charge me $140 for 2 steel support bars to be installed. I was not too happy about that since shouldn't this be part of the installation price for it to be installed the way it needs to be? They said that they could not install the bars and it would be fine; however, there is a chance the granite might crack since I have an overhang on the main counter top with bar stools below. It was just a small overhang of 12 inches. So in any case after some to and fro, I finally agree to pay although i really felt that it should be part of the install price as I had clarified. After the install, i realized that the overhang for my bar stools area did not look right. It was short. I clarified with the installers who showed me the drawings they had and confirmed that instead of a 12 inch overhang, they fabricated a 10 inch overhang which kinda made it too short of its intended purpose. Sure it may be 2 inches, but between 10 and 12, that is 20% and that was the difference was noticeable enough for me to spot it without the tape measure. The installers acknowledged the mistake and said they would have someone call me. On top of that, they had left me a whole bunch of granite leftovers. 3 days passed and no one called so I decided to call back. I spoke with Lacy who did some investigations and later told me that they had intentionally cut it shorter to avoid a spot in the granite that was bad. This was something i did not accept since they had ample time to call me to discuss options with me (which they did not and would have totally changed the situation if they did), they left me so much extra material since we over measured and we made sure to fully inspect the pieces with Kevin who said that our pieces were immaculate. I had asked point blank that they had sent me final drawings and if there had to be changes, shouldn't they call and clarify. Both Lacy and her boss Sky had no answer to that. They keep telling me that the granite is bought as is. I completely agree and signed off that it is bought as is and that is why we made sure to inspect it and ensure that there are no flaws. So i asked for a picture of the flaws or the parts they cut out and they were not able to produce any, In fact they seemed more caught up trying to ignore my concerns and told me that i already had an excellent deal on the sale. Sky even went so far as to say that they miscalculated the install charge and they should be charging me more instead and taking off what they did not install, i ended up owing them money. Firstly, she was not there when the manager at the sale agreed not to charge me for the measure and charge me install based on the installed sq footage versus the remnant sq footage. Who charges install based on the whole piece versus the installed piece anyways? Also, the granite was not sealed when it was installed contrary to what they say. We got all sorts of water stains. They told us that we are welcome to purchase a sealer from them to fix that, however they said that all granite they sell are factory sealed. It was clear it was not and again here they did not seem interested to make things right. Anyways, their final ultimatum was they can come and take everything away and refund my money, which would leave me with a kitchen with no countertops which obviously does not work for me and a stupid suggestion. These people will not own up to their mistakes and are completely and absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. They did not care about making things right and had poor delusional customer service. I now have a bar top area that is too shallow to sit comfortable without having to jam my knees into the counter to sit deep enough to use it for its intended purpose. read more
