Monika Kattana is the rudest most unprofessional businessperson I have ever had the displeasure of…read moreinteracting with who i suspect lies to her clients. When attempting to rent a property from her client she appeared to have kept the landlord in the dark and excluded the landlord from all emails when issues came up. She failed to prepare her client by neglecting to complete the certificate of occupancy from the city for the HOA before listing and advertising the property. This delayed our move-in to past our lease start date and has caused significant financial strain on both landlord and tenant. She wrote us a lease contract for less than 30 days from the signing day (HOA required at least 30 days to process after lease is signed but we trusted the realtor knows what she's doing after asking for an expedited service three weeks in advance) She blamed us (tenants) for not submitting paperwork to the HOA for approval in a timely manner. The HOA themselves have since confirmed it was she who had not turned in paperwork from the landlord's end in a timely manner, not us. She has been snippy and rude with our realtor (telling her how to better do her job in emails) and rude to me in an email separately. When I emailed all parties involved in the process( her, my realtor, my partner, and the landlord) she responded with "I'm not sure who you are or how you are involved in our rental deal. I would appreciate it if you don't address my client directly" I would never want someone so rude to represent me when speaking to my tenants. She didn't appreciate that I asked for landlords confirmation that all mends to the lease were accepted.(weird, seemed like she didn't want me giving the landlord all the information) If it is true she does not know who i am, then she is incompetent and couldn't read the names on the lease. If she does know who I am, she only said that to be blatantly disrespectful. She also was unable to perform basic math and sent us a document for our prorated rent per night. According to her legal document, 3,050/31=$11.29... it is actually $98.39. This would have made us lose about $885.42 total. She fought us when we said the math was incorrect. If you don't have to interact with her, don't. And surely do not use her as your realtor. Pick literally anyone else. WARNING TO FUTURE AND CURRENT HOMEOWNERS: if you are interested in using her real estate services, be prepared to lose a significant amount of money due to her negligence.If this is acceptable behavior at Lang Realty, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS
