My past chiropractors used stim-pads and/or roller-massage tables instead of this very localized technique. I found "active release" very effective on my "hunch shoulders" syndrome inflicted by today's lifestyle: too much sitting at a desk or steering wheel. His traditional spinal manipulation method is firm and effective. Let's face it, a former NFL linebacker should be able to move my spine! After almost 30 years of having everyone try to get my legs even by manipulation, I finally found out that my left leg is significant shorter than my right. I now have a lift in my left shoe and my whole body is adjusting and could even help reduce my scoliosis.
