Offering a menu in English as well, this ensures that you will not have an issue ordering if the Italian language is not there yet. I opted for the local spaghetti with anchovy, lemon, and cheese; and it was what you would expect for a great home cooked meal. Do call in advance for a reservation as they can fill up quickly during a nightly service.

So, on arrival, there were no outside seats available. The place was very busy. We were quickly seated inside but, then we were ignored for an unusually long time, even for Italy. No apologies were provided. After we finally received service our experience greatly improved. We asked about the rose house wine and were graciously provided a sample by or friendly server. Then we ordered additional wine and our meals. My wife ordered the chicken stew which turned out to be an excellent homemade olive infused slowly cooked dish with carrots and potatoes. I ordered slow cooked meatballs in Pomodoro Sauce which was served with a bit of light cream on top, also excellent. But the best part of the meal were the small crusty hot rolls provided to not miss eating ALL the wonderful sauces of our dishes. So, the food was a resounding 5 but, we had to rate the restaurant a 4 overall due to the initial experience. That said, we would gladly return but will make reservations first. We highly recommend it.

Everything was so good until …read more... Excellent tapas style dishes that were fun to eat. The chef who made tapas was excellent. Waiters were polite and great. We also ordered Snapper as the main dish. But, that chef was not good. The skin was perfect, but since the fish slice was thick, it was not fully cooked. The portion close to the skin was dry. The chef probably rushed through, used flame to crisp the skin, and also did not rest it well. It was definitely not sushi-grade fish since we could smell it. Not sure how safe it is to eat such an uncooked fish. They cooked it again (same fish/dish) after we sent it back. It was better and fully cooked. Because of this mishap, we would have just reduced the rating from 5 to 4. But our final rating is 2 because the lady working there (also a cashier) was pretty rude and dismissive of low grade cooking of the fish. She was talking about cooking at 60-70 degrees and that it was Sicilian culture that we won't understand. We gave her chance to apologize. Obviously she was a proud person. She claimed the fish to be fresh. Definitely not fresh. It had a slight smell. The tapas style food we had was clearly fusion. So claiming "culture" as an excuse is clearly gaslighting. We eat fish several times a week - usually bought live and whole. She did not have to use the word "culture". As included below, an Italian should clearly know the difference between culture and cuisine. She looked and treated me like someone who prefers dark skinned people to work for her rather than dine in her establishment. We skipped dessert - thanks to that lady. Translations from English to Italian 1. Culture = Cultura 2. Cuisine = Cucina Do not support this place if you care for such things. PS: we took pictures but decided not to share since we don't want to support such an establishment

Unfortunately, this place disappointed me in the system from the lack of gastronomy / creativity in the food, the pompous service, and the try hard atmosphere. We first were seated late to our table, waited 30+ minutes to receive our wine and amuse-bouche, and then was followed-up with just a series of underwhelming. While the photos may be beautiful, the lack of explosion in my mouth did the rest of the talking. Sorry Chef Sultano, but this did not hit the nail on the head for me. Save your $800 and go elsewhere.

The fresh seafood is absolutely the way to go, and the truffle "ice cream sandwich" (I'm calling it that), was one of the most incredible things I've ever eaten. The fish of Sicily, was beautifully displayed with bullseye looking sauces with a jelly overtop and shrimp and octopus on the side. The wine list is extensive and they servers are willing to help you out with a recommendation. Lastly, they are so careful about allergies and will substitute any foods out and make you a unique dish which is something I really appreciated. Go here if you have the money to spend!

My father is gluten-free and my mom has some allergies to celery and nuts and the server was able to help them with their food restrictions. They both enjoyed their food. One of my sisters ordered a vegetarian pasta and it was served wrapped in plastic which made it a bit unappetizing. Overall 4/5 of us really enjoyed our food. The service was great. Our server was really helpful and was very nice. Our food came out very quickly after ordering, which was a bit surprising. The outdoor seating was comfortable and had a nice ambiance.

I asked whether they could make one of several dishes without tomatoes. I was told no. It turns out that this is a chain restaurant and we suspect that all of their food is not made on site. If that were the only issue, I would let it slide but it isn't. We had placed an order for a Mediterranean fried cheese appetizer before they informed us that they couldn't accommodate me (we would have left otherwise). It was delivered to the table with mostly cold with partly frozen centers. Blech. On the plus side, we ended up going around the corner to a different restaurant, which was our best meal of the trip.
