The staff didn't bat an eye at a 6'4 240lb guy asking for light grey nails, and my tech did a great job! Everyone was friendly and engaging. I've recently discovered Queen Nail & Spa during the pandemic and have gotten my nails done twice with acrylic. Both times, Queen was able to seamlessly repair my broken natural nails with an overlay. I've also had pedicures here. My toe nails are always shaped perfectly - and I'm very particular about my toes. Queen does a quick yet amazing job on nails. They always look natural and not too thick. My daughter visited this establishment with a friend to have their nails done. They quality of the work here was fine and the price was fair. No complaints there. NOW....my daughter was told the charge was $25. She didn't fill out the credit card form other than to sign it. When we reviewed her student account it was charged $30. We called the bank and verified that the preauthorization was $25 but the final charge was run through for $30. So someone gave themselves a $5 tip. I went into the shop and asked for a manager. At first a young woman was very politely and professionally talking with me about the situation. She pulled the cc receipt and yep it was written in handwriting that wasn't my daughter. So I wanted the $5 + the $29 overdraft (since the $5 put her little student account over). A total of $34. A man came over and became aggressive on the border of hostile towards me. This next part is important to the story... I'm a fairly large black man. That's important because I understand where we are with race relations these days so I started recording video outside before I walked in. I could not have been more calm but this man (who never identified himself and called me "bro" a lot) We left the shop that day being followed out with cameras (which is ok since we recorded them so I'm good with that) but they took photos of my license plate and then ran back inside and locked the front door. Two days later I went ahead and decided to reach out again to see if they were willing to talk after the dust settled. I had a phone conversation that went very similar to the visit. I have an initial video of the experience on my FB Wall now and I'll update YouTube with the rest of the inside experience. I tried SNS a few weeks ago with Queen, the owner, and she did a lovely job! I was letting them grow out before I went back but two of them popped off, one of which had fungus underneath it! I was disgusted and made an appointment to go back. When I got there she was laughing telling me I waited too long and that could be buffed off and she started buffing my nail with fungus on it! I told her my nail had been throbbing and she said it didn't hurt, basically calling me a liar. She was almost yelling at me telling me it was my fault because I didn't come back in two weeks! I got fungus from whatever they did to my nails and I was actually being YELLED AT?!? What planet am I on where that is ok?! Then she continued to downplay the situation by acting like it was nothing! I told her, I needed her to TREAT the fungus not file my nails to make it LOOK like I didn't have fungus! She began saw filing my nail down which was already in pain from the fungus. You are absolutely NOT supposed to file a sick nail, let alone this roughly! I asked her if she was going to use the raggedy file that should have been thrown away a long time ago and the buffer, on someone else after using it on the fungus that she'd given to me. She was still raised voice at me and it was still my fault. I was worried about the other nails! I started to let her take off the other treatment but her hands were shaking because she was still so upset and she was being ROUGH. SHE WAS UPSET?! Hello?! I am the one who got fungus from her salon! I told her you know what? "Your hands are shaking and I am the one who got fungus from your establishment? Why are you upset?" I asked her to leave my nails alone and told her that I would go somewhere else. I had to go buy fungus treatment for $10 after paying $27 for a different salon to get this stuff off of my nails because this disgusting salon obviously isn't using sanitary methods to clean the products. I was able to stop a lady from going there who almost went there when she got off of her shift! She was disgusted at what happened and how I was treated! I WAS a customer! They don't have a business without us, be careful! I bet they still used that buffer after she used it on me! Now I have 3 nails with fungus on them and the one she "fixed" is SO SORE and thin that it hurts each time I bump it! Watch out!! read more

Went in for gel manicure with chrome on top. The price for gel nail is listed as $25 and when I went to pay, they charged me $45!!! I questioned the $20 up charge and they came with excuses that the chrome costed extra and they charged my $5 dollars for removal of my previous gel, which I didn't have. I went in with clean nails. They took off the $5 but WHAT THE HELL kinda chrome powder that costs $15 fucking dollars??? I live in Los Angeles and nowhere there they charge that much to brush chrome over gel. To top it all off...the guy cut open my finger while filling the corners of my nails because the gel was stuck to it. First and last time here. I gave it 2 stars just because the job wasn't too horrible. read more

I wanted white marble nails and she made them PERFECT! I had tried SNS dip in the past and felt it was too thick. When I told Queen this, she assured me it wouldn't be too thick and she was right! She made sure I liked it after she started and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked them. I get dip every time now! She is so friendly and so good at what she does. I have been going to Nancy for about 5 years and she does an awesome job, I use to always get pink and white I highly recommend her for that because I find a lot of people can not do pink and white around here, I'm very picky so believe me she's the one to go to, I just started doing the ballerina shape nails as you see in the picture(coral color with a pop of silver glitter on my ring fingers) and I love them, she's such a talented artist and listens to what you want! read more

Just had my nails done and the girl that polished them didn't even polish the whole nail just the middle. When I asked her to fix they made me feel like I was crazy for asking her to paint the whole nail. Had my toes done too. Not good, smudges and when she applied the top coat she only applied to half the nail. When I complained the owner asked what I wanted to do and I asked to have another top coat on my toes because they were done. Had the nail polish taken off my fingers because it was just bad and when she left some of the gel I showed the girl that she had left some on and she sprayed my hands wiped the spray off and walked away. Never took the remainder off and I never got my top coat on my toes. read more

I have followed Quyen from shop to shop for 13 years. She is very creative and artistic. She always has appointments available when I need them. I never have a clue what design or polish style when I step in the shop so she always creates something special for me each time. I have never left the shop unhappy. I used to always get airbrush designs but Quyen brought me out of my shell to try other styles etc. The shop offers alot of great services. They are very clean I can definitely say I have never received any type of fungus. I travel from Dunedin area to largo for my services.
