Maria is an incredible vocal teacher! I've learned so much from her from vocal technique to songwriting to performance tips. I even had the chance to record 2 songs and participate in 3 voice recitals which are a lot of fun! After taking a couple of lessons, I definitely noticed a difference in my voice, and I felt more confidence in my singing. It's been harder for me these days to take lessons due to my night schedule and traveling, but I always looked forward to and appreciated every voice lesson with her. In every lesson there was something new to learn whether it would be a new scale, exercise, or breathing technique. I have taken voice lessons in different places between the US and France over the years but her technique helped me to get results that I never had before.After the first lesson, she gave me a practice CD that is so easy and convenient to use on a daily basis. No time wasted anymore in traffic:-) After 4 lessons with Maria, I had to go to Europe and did a one hour concert in Geneva. For the very first time in my career, I've noticed that I never felt the need to hydrate my throat in between songs. I usually take a sip of my special drink to clear the throat after each song, which is about every 5 or 6mn. If you are looking for a vocal coach...I *HIGHLY RECOMMEND* QUEEN VISION ENT! MARIA IS NOTHING SHORT OF AMAAAZING! I started taking lessons with her a couple months ago, and she really is one of a kind. When I first met her, she welcomed me with a big bear hug, and it's great knowing that there are people out there who are just excited to meet you, as you are to meet them! That definitely made me feel more comfortable with beginning my lessons with her. She begins by asking what singers you like, who inspires you, what songs you would like to sing, and more, because really wants us to be our best. We get to choose our own songs, and she would let us know if it would be a good fit, or if we should hold off on it for another time. She has a CD we have the option of purchasing for only $5, which is great. And really helps with building our vocals. We start class with breathing exercises and vocal warm ups- which most are on the CD :) Maria has like 100 students, but she REALLY tries her best to get us the days/times we need. I, personally, am really busy, so I get lessons every two to three weeks on a particular day- and she makes it happen. I couldn't make it to practice one day because I overslept (graveyard problems), and she totally understood, and didn't charge me- or anything. I still paid her, because that is the kind of person I am, but my point is...she is an ANGEL, and if you have anything going on in your life, just let her know what's up ahead of time and she will work with you :) Maria has a positive energy that lasts the whole lesson, it kind of scares me :'D ahah! No seriously, I get to her studio kind of early for my lesson...and I can hear her being cool and upbeat with the other students, and then the energy flows into my lesson (which is usually around 4pm at the end of the day), so I'm wondering like DAMN! SHE IS GREAT! Ugh. Love her. Seriously, she deserves nothing less than 5 stars, and I'm blessed to be a student of hers. There are no words to describe what an amazing person and teacher Maria is, but I will try.
