Amore greeted me warmly as I entered, and Miranda immediately introduced herself and began my services--*and get this*, I was an hour early (let's go!). Amore kindly and patiently answered all of my questions. Pearl did my consultation and trim--she was so gentle and took the time to explain what needed to be done (because, let's be real, we all get nervous when it comes to trimming!). She also listened with genuine compassion as I shared concerns about a sensitive spot at the top of my head. Jordan braided me down and explained how the braid pattern would support my hair growth journey--she did an *amazing* job! The braids are truly low-tension but look so neat and secure; she even caught every strand without pulling tight. There was also a lovely young lady whose name started with an "S" (I think it sounded like Shay-Tan--please forgive me if I got it wrong!) who answered my questions about potentially wearing wigs. She was very helpful and kind. And lastly, the owner--Shari (I hope I'm spelling that right)--had the most beautiful, gentle, and tenacious spirit. I'm genuinely overjoyed with my experience and deeply grateful that this was my introduction to the DreamGirls journey. I truly needed this, and I'm so excited for the rest of the journey! So it's been over 6 months now, and I am still happy with my Brazilian Blowout hair straightening…read moretreatment. Yes, my hair has accepted being straight quite well. It's wearing off a little, but now it has more volume at the roots and wavy underneath. But after faithfully using the Brazilian Blowout hair care products, it really seems to have extended my investment to it's present satisfaction. Now I can use a flat iron to smooth it out in about 5-10 minutes. We'll see how much longer I can keep going until it's time for my next straightening treatment. In addition to this update, my friend and coworker liked how my hair came out, so she too went to Kathy last week to have her hair done. She just loves how silky smooth her hair looks now and couldn't wait to stop by at work to show it off. She really looks cute! (Well, she is cute anyway).
