Wide choice of beers and larger, well kept and very pleasant surroundings ( Just had a re- vamp , they have made a very good job of it ). My wife and a couple of friends decided to give it a try so we booked a table last Saturday ,,,,just as well we did , sign on the blackboard sorry fully booked . Always a good sign !!! We were greeted by Derek and ordered drinks which were promptly served . We sat at a table enjoying these until the waitress came with the menus. A wide choice of dishes to suit everyone. A little later we were shown to our table in the restaurant ,,,very well done out , large barn style . We all ordered something different ,,scallops,,,seabass, belly pork etc,,,,all very well served by pleasant waitresses / waiters. Main courses ,,,Fillet of beef , jerk chicken ,,roulade of seabass /salmon , pork medalions,,served with selection of veg etc ,,we finished off with sweets ,,excellent. Overall great food ,,good staff ,,good wines , will definitely go back again !! Like the look of the bar meals as well !! Not expensive

When we come from the States and meet up with friends there and always have a great time. The bar staff is really nice, the place has a great layout. You have two areas inside to choose from and a large patio outside. Yes, the patio is in the car park essentially, but they have made a definite break between the car park and the patio with nice landscaping and even in ground lighting. The best night? Monday! Quiz night is a TON of fun here. Even though I know very few of the answers (I blame being American), I still have a great time. I've promised to do the quiz/be the quizmaster. The WiFi is the fastest around, and we're always looking for somewhere to use our American smartphones for free. The only thing I would definitely skip is the food. My husband and I ate dinner before quiz night one of the evenings we were there and it wasn't good. Skip the food and go for the fun.

The food was definitely good, but not outstanding and the service was particularly slow. The prices are very very high for a restaurant that is in a pub and therefore tends to be frequented by people for a special occasion. It may be a lot of peoples first choice for a special meal but for me I found it distinctly average.
