Queens Road Metrolink Station is a pretty standard Metrolink station, it is located on the Bury line, with trams from here going into Bury in one direction, and then Piccadilly or Altrincham in the other.
The station opened to the public in 2013, after originally being used by the staff only, which is useful as this is the closest Metrolink stop to the Manchester Museum of Transport, it also served the Metrolink depot, odds are while passing through the station, you may pause for a moment for a driver change, or be able to see the newer trams being parked up in the depot.
The station has a partial shelter for rain but isn't fully covered, the facilities are minimal yet acceptable compared to other stops along the network, it's pretty bog standard.
Pretty bog standard Metrolink station with the facilities you'd expect, and the added bonus of views of the depot for trainspotters, apart from that nothing too exciting, but it doesn't really need to be, with trams roughly every 12 minutes, you won't need to spend much time here. 3* read more
