Chicken was very hard and tasteless. Portion size was very small. Would not recommend this place.

Once you step inside, you will feel like you've teleported to Mexico!…read more Go straight to the hot table and check out the menu. Place your order, and find a seat. The food will be brought to you. At the side, there's a small salsa if you'd like additional condiments. We tried a plate of tacos and enchiladas. Incredible flavours! No wonder they have rolls of paper towels at each table. You'll need them! I can't wait to go back!

Extremely disappointing experience from beginning to end…read more The service was rude and unwelcoming. When I was about to ask where to pick up my order, the employee responded with, "Did you look over there?" with an unnecessary attitude. Then when I went to grab the order, the other employee couldn't even hand me the food, I literally had to lean over the counter to get it myself. No thank you, no smile, no basic customer service. Unfortunately, the food was just as disappointing. The tacos and burrito were extremely dry and had very little flavor. What really made this experience unacceptable was finding foreign objects in our food. My girlfriend found what appeared to be a piece of wood in one of her tacos and thankfully noticed it before biting into it. Then I found a long piece of hair in my burrito. At that point, it was honestly disgusting. I work as a videographer with restaurants and have eaten at many different places, and my girlfriend also does food reviews, so we experience a lot of restaurants. This was easily one of the worst experiences we've had. Bad service, disappointing food, and serious issues with what we found inside our meals. I definitely won't be coming back.

Amazing birria Tacos! The staff is very friendly and the decoration is very nice…read more Birria beef tacos come with the customary broth, which was absolutely delicious. The tortilla's consistency was good.

There are a few La Toxica locations around Montreal, and people sometimes mix them up when posting…read morephotos and reviews. I've been to a couple of them, and this location is definitely one of my favorites, along with the Jean-Talon location. You know the food is good when everyone at the table goes quiet because they're too busy eating. This was actually my first time ordering La Toxica on Uber Eats since I live pretty far away, and even with a 75-minute wait, it was 100% worth it. The carnitas tacos are probably the best tacos I've had so far. I haven't found another place that does them quite like this. The al pastor is incredible too flavour-wise, it's hard to find anything that compares. I've tried a lot of taco spots around Montreal, and this is one of the closest experiences I've had to authentic Mexican tacos. I enjoy Three Amigos, but it's a completely different style of food. La Toxica feels like the kind of place where someone's mom or grandma is in the kitchen making recipes that have been passed down for generations. The Birria and the consommé is always packed with flavor. If you're not sipping the consommé after dipping your tacos, you're missing out. Highly recommended.

There is so few "ethnic" restaurants in the Laurentides I could beg for more…read more I have been eying this Mexican place since... Forever telling myself I would go when my craving for Mexican food would be intolerable and last Saturday, in the heat of summer after a few beer on a terrasse. It felt like we needed Mexican food. At first, we were pleased to see the interior. It felt authentic, the lady who served us was a charm, sweet and refreshing like her margaritas. But then, arrived the chimichanga and the burritos. :( They were covered in white sauce and they were clearly made ahead. They were mainly made of rice, reheated dry rice. The overall feel of the plates was bland and forgettable. I could not taste any spices. Not as in "hot" spice but as in flavoured. I would have gived this place a 2 stars. But the lady was really nice and I can entrain the idea that maybe... I hate to say this... But maybe the locals are not used to Mexican spices so that's why it's so blend... If I go back, I probably only take tortilla and margaritas.

Ok so i decided to try this restaurant since there has been many positive reviews…read more Well the restaurant is small and cozy and there is a terrace. The service was very long and there were even times where I thought they forgot about us. Ok and for the food well to be honest with you it was not very good, we ordered the nachos and I wasn't impressed at all it felt like I could've went home, open a bag of tostitos and grabbed a dip and it would've been the same. Then comes the burritos once again I've had better frozen ones from the super market, I mean if the prices were cheap then i wouldn't be complaing but paying $70 for chips and 2 burrito I'd expect something way better.
