I came here for a drug test that I had an appointment for and was able to get in and out in under 20 minutes.

Dr. Willis even allowed me to switch to her services while I was 25 weeks pregnant which turned out to be the best decision that I could've ever made for myself and my baby. If my husband and I ever plan a second child I will definitely return to the care of this physician group ONLY! They are the only two ppl I trust to birth my children in this entire state as a California native.

I gave birth to my daughter in 1993 with Dr. Robinett and have since entrusted my care to Brookwood. Currently, I see Dr. Maddox and recommended her to my daughter as well. We both appreciate Dr. Maddox's attentiveness and thorough approach. However, I am posting this review with concerns regarding the care my daughter has received post-delivery and the treatment we experienced during her hospitalization. Following her C-section, a 7-day bandage was placed on her incision, preventing us from monitoring her healing. When the bandage was removed, we noticed redness, and shortly thereafter, our daughter began feeling unwell. Upon contacting the after-hours line, she was advised to go to the emergency room, where she was admitted due to a serious infection. This entire situation has been emotionally taxing , especially being separated from her newborn while undergoing treatment. We were initially informed by OB ED nurses that the baby could stay with her as long as I remained present to care for him since he was no longer a patient. While we appreciated this flexibility, the support we received from staff was inconsistent and, at times, dismissive. For example, when we moved to a room (on the 6th floor) from the ED, we had to plead with the nurse on duty, Tamika Reeves, for basic supplies like diapers and wipes. My husband had packed a small bag for the baby, but it was insufficient, and since it was late, we had to wait until the next day to order additional items. On January 13 at 8:49 PM, when we asked for a bottle of formula because our daughter wasn't producing enough milk and needed rest, the assigned nurse, Anna Brett Williamson, informed us it was against policy to provide formula since the baby wasn't a patient. When I requested to speak with the charge nurse, I was disheartened to learn it was Ms. Reeves again, who previously was unhelpful. After decades of being a loyal patient, I am deeply disappointed with the lack of compassion and support we experienced. Denying a single bottle of formula to a newborn, especially under these circumstances, is inexcusable. Furthermore, I am left to question whether our daughter's infection could have been prevented had a different approach been taken with her incision care. The level of care we received during this critical time is indicative of the decline in the quality of service. This experience has led me to reconsider continuing my care with your hospital and to understand why others have expressed similar concerns in online reviews. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no family should have to deal with this kind of situation.

Southern Pain Management offers all the traditional pain/nerve blocks, Radio Frequency Ablasions, Etc; Several new innovative procedures including Ketamine infusion treatments at affordable cost to patients. The science of Ketamine Infusion makes too much sense for insurance companies to my help pay for such a thing. They would much rather pay for pain medicine. He was the only doctor in the Birmingham area who was willing to refill my implanted pain pump. Before finding him, I had to drive to Slidell, LA every month to have it filled. He and his staff work together as a team. It is comforting to see teamwork in one's medical care. They are also very good at what they do, and each one plays a part in your care. I have suffered from hip and thigh pain since I had a defective hip replaced with a non-defective one. I thought that the pain was caused by all the surgery. Thank goodness Dr. Varley had other impressions. He discovered that the pain was emanating from my spine and that Radio Frequency Ablation (RFA) was the solution. I had been having it performed on the other side of my spine for several years, with good results. Walking without pain is truly amazing, after suffering with it for so many years. I highly recommend Southern Pain Specialists for anyone with back/spine problems.
