Office in Mission refused to accept email pdf of the lab orders. They MUST be printed. Every DHR…read moremedical office nearby (all 3 next door) refused the kindness of printing the single page lab order. The parking area available in the Mission office is horrible. After driving around I was able to park half a block away and walk, but it was so sad to see the older people who could not walk so easily and the only parking was far away from the office. So many office buildings in this area and the available handicap parking is minimal. This is a disservice to our elderly and it's upsetting to see this.

There were people behind me. Some of them needed a 2-3hour glucose testing and because they close at noon it was convenient for Alexis front desk staff to text her supervisor to let her know. Because she's not going to be here later. So the wait in line and sitting for me was useless because they skipped my labs so they can do the people behind me. (Yes, I know I run the risk of being here with a wait time and that there is going to be people before me and that it's a process. But when I come in at a certain time because I know I need to be here early and the staff gives a sooner pass to irresponsible people it's very upsetting and unfair.) There has to be a better process for situations like this.

My daughter tested positive for COVID. The NP said there were no medications she could give her. I…read moreexplained that my daughter usually develops worse symptoms a few days later and asked if there was anything we could keep on hand in case she needed it. Because my daughter was having severe body aches, I also asked if they gave penicillin shots. The NP said, "I can give you whatever you want--shots, medicine--but I just don't recommend it." The nurse returned with an injection, but when I asked if it was penicillin, she couldn't tell me. She stepped out to find out and returned saying it contained several ingredients. I explained that my daughter had a severe reaction to penicillin several years ago and that I did not want to risk giving her the injection without knowing exactly what it contained. At that point, the NP became very upset, saying we were wasting an expensive shot and that it had to be thrown away. She repeatedly insisted that my daughter take it, saying it was a "cousin of penicillin." She also became upset with the nurse for not knowing what was in the injection. She then asked my daughter, in an upset tone, "So, you don't want the shot?" Asking a minor? My daughter quietly said no. The NP continued expressing her frustration about the cost of the shot and eventually opened the door and yelled at the nurse. We left feeling extremely uncomfortable with the way the situation was handled, especially because my daughter is a minor and we had clearly explained her history of a severe reaction to penicillin.

This new office on N. 10th by Eternal Spa should be avoided, I recommend you visit the office…read moreacross from LUBY's on N. 10th. I waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for a chest xray. There were 4 patients (total) waiting for test to be done. All we heard while waiting was non stop laughing in a break room toward the back. Go to the office on N. 10th across from LUBY's, they are quick and very professional.

I went to Open MRI in McAllen, tX on 10th Street. After being in pain for four months, i I went…read moreto them as they quickly scheduled me for the next day. They also charged me what my insurance would have charged me. The CD with the images was taken by me to my specialist. My specialist Dr. informed me that the CD was of "poor quality" and the images were blurry, making it difficult for him to view. He asked that I go to Houston Medical Imaging. I spoke to Open MRI explaining that the images were blurry and of poor quality. At the least, I thought they would offer to redo. Although if this had been the case, due to their poor CD images, I would have gone elsewhere. They neither offered to redo nor refund me at least partial of my money and stated they had provided a service. I agree with this, but the service provided was not useful to my dr. Due to Open MRI's refusal to help and stand behind the employee who produced the blurry and poor quality images, I was forced to get a second MRI at Houston Imaging and therefore, pay a large amount again for an MRI. I also learned they use a very low magnetic strength for the images, whereas Houston Medical Imaging uses the highest quality magnetic strength and provides clear and detailed images. I wish I had gone directly to Houston Medical Imaging from the beginning. I will never go to OPEN MRI again and will not ever recommend them. Folks, do Not waste your time with Open MRI. Start with the best: Houston Medical. I feel Open MRI knowingly allows these poor quality and blurry images to be sent out and is very good about taking your money and refuses to make good their bad CDs.
