You take time off of work get to the appointment early you check in and then are told they don't do your test after 12PM. It's a simple blood draw for a test kit. I know your doctors always tell you that you can just walk in without an appointment to these types of labs. But, I'm here to tell you to go online and make your appointment. It's very simple. Today I walked in at 8:45 AM, and followed the prompts to check in on my phone from the text that Quest sent me this morning. There were several people in the waiting area. (They didn't have an appointment and were waiting on standby.) I didn't even get a chance to sit down before the nurse Mirzha called me back. She verified my insurance and my ID. Im always a little nervous because I have "thin rolling veins". But Mirzha was very professional and knowledgeable. Five minutes later, I was finished. The establishment was clean and organized. I would give them a zero if I could. Last time I had an appt which required a 1 hour redraw and they yelled at me about their lunch hour when though my second draw was 15 minutes before their lunch hour. Then I had to go back and take a walk in appt- if you don't have an appt you are treated like complete trash and they will take people with scheduled appointments 10-15 minutes just not to see you. It's sad this is the standard our healthcare system is held to. read more

Terrible staff! I went on May 31st to get my labs and the two Hispanic American women were very rude to me. I had an apppointment that wasn't listed on the screen and I told them that my appointment was already due. The one with brown hair (long) said I know. I replied okay. the one with dark black hair (long) came out and called me in. I asked to go over the labs I have to do because I was there 2 weeks ago and was taken blood for some tests I did not receive results for. she looks mint because she was not very friendly and happy to out in the extra effory one of the test was missing and I said to give me a sec and call the nurse to fax it in since I don't want to get pricked twice. she started having an attitude and she pushed for me to take the blood in the very second. I said okay. she said to make a walk in appointment. I did. no one was in the lobby except a lady who walked in. I told the lady my story and she was okay with me to go in again. I had my two dogs waiting in the car for me so this situation was a bit frustrating. when the black haired lab technician came out I asked if the fax came in. she reluctantly looked and said Yes. She called in a man who just walked in. the one with brown hair came out and I went to her and ask her to take me in to get the second lab that just came in by fax. the black haired one saw the scene and she came out to enter our room and said that I should wait (?) Due to her instigation of a bad behaviour, the one that took me in picked my so hard and bruised my vein and I screamed Ouch! she had a smirk on her face and said R U K..... I was so shocked and told no. just finish. On May 3rd, I had an appointment with my doctor to go over labs and he told me that the labs were not in. I looked in my portal and it looked like they didn't even sent out the labs!!! so, 2 pocks later and a bruised arm, no labs were sent!...... really?..... I called in the line for compliance and left a message, plus I sent an email. off course, no reply from the company. The worst company and staff ever!!! read more

I've never had too many issues with any quest before until I came to the Hollister one. The two girls working today made me feel so embarrassed and dismissed. They were both rude and whenever I asked a question because the kiosk wasn't scanning they were just so dismissive. I wanted to go crawl under a rock and honestly got a little teary eyed after I walked out. I wasn't tended to because I got there in the 10 mins slot but I was still waiting and was told I had to reschedule after waiting for almost 45 mins. I have to go back there and get blood drawn so I just hope they aren't rude to me again you never know what someone is going through so remember to be kind customer service was not it. read more

I showed up for my appointment on time and waited several minutes before my name was called. No big deal. But when my bloodwork order wasn't in Quest's system, I offered to call my doctor to fax it over and they said they would do so immediately. While I was still on the call with my doctor's office (which lasted 2 minutes), the phlebotomist informed me she was going on her break, and that I had 10 minutes and my appointment would be canceled. She then dimmed the lights, locked the door and left me inside the office ALONE. After 10 minutes, I left. Why is it that Quest has NEVER been able to accept a doctor's order for my bloodwork electronically? Today I was told they don't accept requisition numbers, whatever that means. The only way I've ever been able to get blood work done through Quest is if I bring in a hard copy of my orders. Yet doctors offices insist on sending in my orders electronically. Why is Quest in the dark ages? And more importantly, how is the behavior of the phlebotomist I encountered today considered acceptable by any means? I just called my doctor's office to reschedule my appointment because of today's problem with Quest. I was told this is not uncommon. I will now be going to LabCorp. Apparently they accept electronic orders. read more

Very disorganized and staff is very rude! New rule was implemented apparently that you need an appointment to drop off a sample. Not even my doctors office knew that. When I stated that I was here to drop off a sample the employee said you need an appointment we are not a library we don't just take drop offs! (Whatever that means) terrible place of business with people who should not be in the health care profession with such sour attitudes like that! read more

Great service. I was in and out in under 10 mins. Tech was courteous and friendly as well. Most importantly I didn't feel the needle:)

Love that this Quest is conveniently located inside Safeway. Jessica is excellent!! She made me feel comfortable and calm which is appreciated as I am not the best with needles or blood. I also admire how well she manages time with each patient on a busy day. There was a few people ahead of me but she was finished with them and taking care of me in no time. Great service! read more

i've been to QUEST in Gilroy several times in the past few years and the experience was fine, so I'd expect the same from this place. Haven't been to the Hollister location but will be going there tomorrow. It's convenient that they're so easy to find and accessible by being in a Safeway right next to the pharmacy, but i have to say that I REALLY THINK THAT IF THEY HAD THE MOST CONCERN FOR THEIR CLIENTS/CUSTOMERS THAT IS POSSIBLE, THEY WOULD BE OPEN ON SATURDAYS. A half day of 4, or even 3 hours open on Saturdays would, i'm 100% certain, be greatly appreciated by most customers. what it basically amounts to is that their employees have their Saturdays not-interfered-with, but YOU have to take off time from your job. there's room for improvement in courteousness there. I just had the best blood draw of my entire life! My phlebotomist, Jennifer, listened to my fears and traumas and asked if I would like her to perform the draw without using a tourniquet. Yes, please! I barely noticed the needle going in or coming out. She held pressure on my arm for a couple of minutes while we chatted and then I was on my way. If lab work can be pleasant, this was it! Ask for Jennifer--you won't be disappointed! read more
