The building was quiet, I was temp checked by someone at the door and directed to the elevator. I easily found Quest on the second floor and walked in. They had a scan station for the QR Code they emailed me. I wanted for a minute or two and then Shauna came to get me. She was kind and calm and explained everything in a soft but knowing voice. She talked me through the prep work and gave clear instruction. She asked about me weekend and we giggled about something and then she's applying a bandage. It was over. Not pain, barely a pinch. She had me confirm my name on all of the vials and sent me off with "be safe" wishes. She was wonderful. I don't know if you can request technicians but I would absolutely see Shauna again. Update: went back again and saw Rosalind. She was punctual, kind, funny, and just as quick and gentle as Shauna. Thank you!

I registered at the kiosk, then stepped out into the hall, waiting for a text saying that I was next up. Received my text at 10:01 a.m., so not wonderful, but at least I was about to be seen . . . or so I thought. I started to get a little concerned about 30 minutes later, because my name hadn't been called . . . but hardly any one's name had been called, so maybe everyone was receiving as horrible service as me. I couldn't even go to the counter to ask the lady how much longer it would be because there was a line at the counter !!! Finally, at 10:50 a.m., I burrowed my way up the counter, and pointed out it was 10:50 a.m., and I arrived for my 9:30 a.m. appointment on time. She looked up my name and said she had called it twice, no one had come, so she had removed me. I was dumbfounded, of course, but shouldn't have been surprised. Bad on me, because I had been to this same location about a year ago, and remember getting bad service, then, too.

They just said to call my doctor, but as mentioned, my doctor didn't order the test and the bill is coming directly from LabCorp. This is the 2nd time this has happened since moving to Kansas--healthcare here is jacked up--it's like they charge extra services just to see if you are checking the details, and then test your determination as they send you in circles and make-up excuses without any resolution. According to the invoice, test were run at the Overland Park, KS location...although bill also lists a NC location for payments???

I arrived with my labs to be drawn and was greeted by two young nurses who took turns deciding who wanted to do it, so unprofessional to start. Then they decided to do it together, aw so fun except for the fact that both of them were incredibly inexperienced. They began trying to find a vein and couldn't for the life of them. I've had blood drawn many times and have been told I have a perfect vein for it, which I even showed them. They poked me a total of 5 times and were MOVING the needle around inside my arm. NEVER GOT A VEIN. I passed out completely cold and they were laughing and joking to eachother trying to figure out what to do. I am a young woman who is in the medical field and couldn't believe what was going on. After passing out twice, I asked if I could lay down so they said, "yeah you can go to that room" and proceeded to watch me walk myself over there while half unconscious. I've never passed out from needles but felt nausea, extreme sweating, and was pale as a ghost. They were looking at eachother the entire time trying to figure out what to do as if they've never done it before. They said to eachother "should we get Buck" and I said yes please. I was silent the entire time but knew I literally wouldn't make it home if they kept trying. I was wearing a dress, laying with my feet toward the door. Buck comes in and says "you are always supposed to either cover her or close the door because she's wearing a dress". Great, and don't you know it, moments after he said that a strange man walked past my door, looked directly up my dress, and buck had to tell him to go back to the lobby. Why was there a strange person just roaming around anyway? And why the hell was I not covered up if that was the policy. Of course, buck gets the blood drawn on the first try. Whatever you do, do not go if you value your safety and dignity. Other helpers let me know if I should sue...

You'll get a harassing message about arriving 15 min early or losing your appointment (and another about being charged $100 if you don't show) but when you do show up early you won't be promptly checked in. The desk attendants were discussing voicemails that haven't been checked for 24 hours and other topics first. The patient screening form is rather lengthy and appears to be for all possible options, so make sure you know what your exam is for (so you don't consent to contrast if you're not getting contrast). Also, even after arriving 15 minutes early don't expect to be seen on time (or even early like I often was at Element). Maybe it was because I went on a Saturday? Once you do go back there isn't a place to sit and take off your shoes for an ankle scan. This was a little awkward as I had on boots that needed to be laced up. I did give a second star for Miranda who was the very nice and helpful technician. She explained that the doctor wanted me to have the scans and that it would be on a QR code that I could take with me. I did appreciate getting to take these home, but this also meant waiting. I'm glad it was the weekend and I didn't have to be anywhere else.
