I got my blood drawn here 6 days ago. While the in and out with an appt was fine, the sweet African American phlebotomist said my vein stopped bleeding in 1 arm and stuck me in the second arm. Never has my vein stop bleeding ever. Look I'm not squeamish with needles but I know a lot of people who are. It hurt like hell and my arm hurt every day after more and more with a giant lump over the spot she stuck me. While the lump is down now at day 6 there's a giant yellow bruise still there. I'll confidently say, I've never had that bad of an experience getting my blood drawn. read more

I walked in on a wedsday the 21s filled out the computer kiosk. Got called got a cup for sample left. Friday the 23 at 8:00 people waiting in line. Guy walks out who work there said he would help people fill out kiosk. I said I'm dropping my sample off. He said you need an appointment. I filled it out. Appointment 9:40 on screen in lobby. I leave came back no name! I filled it out again. A Girl walked out she said she called my name no show, it was 9:35? I said my sample now over an hour is here. She said go back to room 1. I did she walked in said I'd please. She looked it up said ok got it your done. I left got home around 10:00 am. read more

Drove 40 min to arrive. Signed in. 1 person ahead of me. Woman from office came out and said no more patients. It was 2:15. They close at 2:30. Mind you, nowhere on the website, or in the office, does it state a cutoff time. I'm a nurse of 42 years. It takes about 3 minutes from start to finish, to complete the tests. Sadly, it's poor work ethic in today's society. Very poor customer service. They need to do better. Period. BTW-after reading the reviews on YELP, why in the world is the same issue still occurring? Why haven't these concerns been dealt with? Not only poor work ethics in, but also poor management. Shame on all of you. read more

Arrived for scheduled appointment on 12/4/25 and checked in at kiosk. When called through the magic door, was told that my doctor's orders couldn't be read by Quest's computers. Drove to doctor's office and received a printed copy. Drove back to Quest and was bumped to the head of the line (Yay!). Blood was drawn, but insufficient urine. Was given a specimen cup and told to return it any time. Other commitments prevented me from returning that day, so I created a specimen the next day and drove back to Quest at about 8:30 AM on 12/5/25. Was told that Quest couldn't just take the specimen (despite being there the previous day) and I had to make an appointment. (Boo!) Earliest appointment was more than an hour away, so got to sit and observe human behavior in the waiting room until about 9:45 AM when finally called. Two big problems: 1. Commuter incompatibility. 2. Being forced to wait more than an hour to drop off a specimen "any time." One star at best. read more

First visit here was great. Second visit I saw a different side of this lab. Customer service is about the worst I have ever seen a lab provide. Witnessed patient after patient get turned away for service because anything but a scheduled appointment is more than this group of lab techs cares to provide. If it required the slightest effort from them, forget it. Even turning away patients that arrived before 2 pm and getting asked to reschedule at 2:20 because "they close in 10 minutes". I'll find another lab.. this one truly doesn't care about you. read more

Holy crap, just go somewhere else. I shouldn't have to review this type of place? It should be as simple as take my blood, upload the results, that's it. Nope. They're rude. You wait over your appt time. Whatever, that happens, no big deal. My online account shows nothing, not even pending results. I email them to ask why. They tell me the address doesn't match. Show me the 2 addresses listed. I tell them they're using my old address, but it doesn't matter, my driver's license has a sticker showing the updated one on the back that their staff ignored. In the same email chain, the email says- we can't find your account, sorry. Basically, they're being lazy and didn't want to do work to look it up. If you want to get your results, choose somewhere else. This place is a joke. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Stopped in today (late morning) as a walk in for routine bloodwork. Not a soul in the place except for staff, two women sitting behind the counter. They asked if I had an appointment, NOT A FRIENDLY GREETING AT ALL. I replied no, I'm a walk in. She said, sorry, we're not taking walk-ins (almost with pleasure). What a damn shame. Two sitting doing nothing, no other patients, and they turn me away. Why is it that most are taking walk ins while other lazy sites are not. I was told I would be responsible for paying even though when I later called my insurance co. I was told of course it was covered. Normally I'm in and out and everything is great. Not this time. I sat there for 15 mins watching the employee cough all over her desk, phone, pens. She had a mask, but would take it off to cough. She called me back. I asked if she was going to wash her hands and wear her mask, while she drew my blood. I just went they multi level disk c spine surgery and have RA. She told me I would have to wait for someone else, because she couldn't leave her mask on, because she had to breath. Very unprofessional. You either stay home or if you are going to work protect your patients. Wash your hands and wear a mask or stay home. read more

I would give them a negative 10 if possible. Extremely rude and condescending, I'm sure they don't understand anything about customer service. Walked in at 6am, no appointment but walk-ins allowed. We were the only ones in the lab other than the 3 nurses sitting doing nothing. The rude person behind the counter stated that it was up to the discretion of the individual Quest to allow walk-ins and we would not be seen. Total garbage and the web site does not say that. I drove 15 minutes away to the Peach land location and the nurse took a look at the empty waiting room and brought us right in. The crew at the Caring Way Quest need to look for a new line of business, one where they have no contact with living, breathing human beings. read more

I have been to Quest on Peachland Blvd 2 times since January 2020. I am trying to make my Appt. for blood work for my March Chemo treatment. My experience has been wonderful, no exceptions! Each person has shown me respect and treated me well from Reception to saying goodbye. I do wonder why there is no one at reception when I enter but have wondered if she/he is helping patients, taking blood etc as well as doing the front desk? And there is no bathroom available from reception either, one has to wait until reception is manned to ask for access. A little embarrassing and unusual really in such a place....that's the only thing not positive I can say about this location. Logging in for my appointment is easy and very quick you just have to remember your code and away you go...easy peasy. Plenty of parking too. read more

Go online. Make appointment. Arrive at appointment time. Get seen in front of masses that walked in. Repeat. This is a really good set-up. Why would anyone NOT make an appointment ahead of time? I love the fact that I had no waiting time in a lobby filled with coughing people. The technician was curt, professional, and, best of all, quick and painless in her needle usage. It seemed she was done within moments of settling in my seat. More people should take advantage of technology that makes life better. This review refers to the Quest Diagnostics office in Port Charlotte, FL. These people are impossible to get in touch with. I need to cancel an appointment, everything is automated and nothing works. Why do they have such a need to keep patients at arms length? I went into the office for a 5-minute blood draw, no other patients were in the office & staff were doing NOTHING. I was told I needed an appointment. Made appointment, then found out another blood draw that had already been done would suffice. For whatever reason, I CANNOT, CANNOT cancel the appointment through their automated system. I prefer dealing with people and will find an office that offers that. read more

Refused to draw blood for a post organ transplant kit supplied by the Mayo clinic. Stated it was improper packaging even though they've had no problem with it in the past. Somehow I don't think Mayo has "improper" packaging. Older blonde woman staffer was absolutely horrid. read more

Went today and had draw done by a young fellow as I was listening to music (Eminem) I didn't want to offend him. He said it was cool! Okay now for the real report; my mother did lab work as a career and has since passed on Easter! This young man would make my mother "Joanie Summers" extremely proud!! Not only was he very professional, his technic was far superior to a lifetime a blood work I have endured! He is a true artisifer (artistic) as I didn't even realize he was done since I don't watch! I will go back and get his name so I can write a letter of worthiness on his behalf! read more

They are open on Caring Way in Port Charlotte. I chose this particular location because of their Saturday hours of operation. The front desk lady was nice and courteous. I have zero complaints. As with anywhere if there is more than one person having appointments or needing assistance, there will be a wait...duh. People want to complain about EVERYTHING. Put yourself in the place of the person WORKING WITH THE PUBLIC. it's not easy. read more
