I have used this facility now several times and each time has been an absolute pleasure (if you can consider having blood 'sucked' out of you a possible pleasure). I waited less than 4 minutes and was in and out of there in less than 15... Dee was wonderful, efficient, and almost painless... Her friendliness was contagious, especially since the appointment I made was at 6:20 am... I can't say enough about the ease of scheduling (and re-scheduling when necessary), and the check in was a breathe... Just clicked on the link I got into my SMS and I was checked in. A TRAINWRECK! Always hours behind. I checked in at the kiosk. Kiosk tells me I can wait outside and get a text....I wait and wait. Finally 45 minutes after my appointment is scheduled I go inside to find out what's up. Now my name is off the board...They are clueless and tell me they they can't do anything... Still a great location! In the hospital 3 weeks ago they butchered my veins even with a specialized phlebotomist. I had bruises for weeks. For my postpartum visit, it took 3 providers and 4 pokes to get my blood. Today at this location I had a young man Ouhy (sorry probably totally butchered his name) who got it in one shot. Quick, professional. I came as a walk in, since it's hard to schedule things with a 3 week old baby. Waited for maybe 10 minutes at the most. Super grateful for this location. read more

Very disappointed. Made an appointment onllne. Arrived 5 minutes early and still had to wait 25 minutes in the waiting room. I have a Nitrile glove allergy and it's the only kind they use so I was told. The woman who was supposed to help me was useless. Said they're not Latex. Hello, I know that!!! Told her I would go get my vinyl ones out of my car and to please remove the Nitrile gloves. I come back maybe 2 minutes tops and she took someone else!!! Waited again and then had someone else who only asked the questions required. No communication at all with either of them. Called Quest to complain. I was told I would get a call back in 24 hours. I needed lab testing to confirm a very serious, dangerous diagnosis, so it has been a scary week. My original labs were sent incorrectly by my doctor's office, so my diagnosis was delayed. Some of the symptoms associated with my condition are dangerously high blood pressure and panic attacks, so finding out my labs were delayed longer was very difficult. I went to Quest to get my labs re-done, and found out my doctor's office had sent the wrong lab orders again. I was very upset, as It was a Friday at 3:15 and Quest closing soon. Plus, waiting for a diagnosis before doctors can proceed with a plan is the most unsettling feeling. Elizabeth helped calm me down and helped me call the doctor's office and make sure the right labs were faxed. Advocating for yourself when you are already very sick is extremely exhausting, and I really appreciate Elizabeth's empathy and help. read more

One time I am really impressed, next time not. It is what it is - an assembly line taking blood. 2 iPads where you register when you enter - only bad thing is the non computer literate people have not idea what to do, but anyone with basic knowledge of how to type on a phone is okay, but the bad users clog the lane. They are fairly rapid and some techs are personable and some aren't so the "next" in the assembly line feeling occurs. If you are lucky you get a personable tech but usually it's a "sit, pay, stick and go" feeling. I don't mind it but it is a kind of an impersonal process - but okay for what it is. read more

Wow, what a condescending experience. I unfortunately had not made an appointment and knew that doing walk up I was going to have to wait. I had budgeted time in my day and I brought some thing to read was planning to spend some time there, so I can get my blood work done in time for a doctors appointment next week. When I arrived I was greeted by a lady outside the door. she asked if I had an appointment and when I told her no, that I was willing to wait, she looked at me and shook her head and and in a condescending tone told me well you're gonna have to wait, and I don't know how long it's going to be and you should've had an appointment. I wanted to explain to her that I was willing to wait, but she was so condescending and rude and her body language was so negative I had no interest in standing and waiting there was someone who is going to treat me with such disrespect. I tried to remain calm and asked her politely did she want my business or not, she said it's not about having your business it's about do you want to wait, I got a lot of other people here Waiting. Was just so rude. I had no interest in giving Quest my business & frankly, plan never to return. Quest, you need to work on your customer service training. So I needed some bloodwork done and came here after a different lab was closed for emergency repairs of some kind. I didn't have an appointment and only waited a few minutes before I was called to a counter with my prescription. After trying to figure it out for a couple minutes, she made some comment about how if I was given papers by that doctor again that they needed to be in a different format and it was confusing to her. After there was a glitch with the ID number, she asked if I had their contact information so she could put it with the file. I dug up the card and gave it to her. She scrolled through a list on her computer and found the hospital and sent me out to go wait some more. Soon enough I was called to the back. The guy who took my blood had a sense of humor and was really personable. I told him I was used to getting stabbed a couple times before others could hit a vein in the past. And miraculously, he got it on the first shot. A couple minutes later he had everything marked and sent me on my way. If the woman behind the desk understood that I have no idea what is considered a normal-looking prescription (I don't see them every day) it probably would have been a better experience. I had an appointment at another location but their network was down so they couldn't provide service and I was SOL. Generally pretty nice, and no issues with drawing blood. I'm not sure what the point of making an appointment is when I've waited a week to get the appointment and have to wait 40 min. A walk in that was right in front of me was already called back and leaving but they've asked me wait an additional 20 min. until I'm called back. Unfortunately had to leave because I have to work, that's why I made the appointment. I guess walking rather than making an appointment is the way to go. I stopped in Quest to see how long the wait, or if I should make an appointment (Monday 9:15 am). If you're looking for warm and fuzzy, maybe this isn't the place, but for me it was perfect. I signed in as there is no one up front to speak with. I was called in less than 10 minutes. The tech wasn't particularly personable, but she was fast and efficient and answered my questions. It was almost painless, except for the first prick of the needle. A perfect medical visit for me, in and out in less than 20 minutes. read more

Was suppose to have a biopsy, had blood work drawn approximately 2 weeks before. The day of procedure we were informed they had not received results. After numerous attempts to contact quest we finally found out they had a record of us having blood work drawn,however they had no idea what happened to the specimens..Had to reschedule the procedure and have new script for blood work. We made an appointment got to the lab and they had no record of the appointment.Luckily there was one conscientious person in the lab who was able to accommodate us. A supervisor from quest was to call us ,have not heard from them. Overall very unsatisfied with Quest. There is a delay in treatment due to the inefficiency of Quest. read more

It was time for my yearly bloodwork and I needed to go to Quest. I went online and scheduled my appointment with the Park Blvd, Seminole FL location. I was able to select the time, and date as well as supply all of my insurance information to save time. I arrived 10 minutes early with a room full of people waiting that came prior to me. The waiting room was clean, and self check in was easy to follow. I was called in at the time I scheduled. The gentleman (Michael) informed me it is very wise to do what I did with scheduling online. They take walk-ins as well but those with scheduled appointments go before them and it was an extremely busy day for them. Michael was very friendly and an excellent sticker! I was in and out within minutes due to already providing my info online. I will not hesitate to go there again. read more

The whole quest system for walk ins is broken and not efficient or fair. I get that people with appointments have priority but when you are booked out for weeks and can't accommodate people who need their labs done sooner is not ok. Plus just saying that is a corporate policy is a weak excuse to mask your inefficiency to handle patients in a decent amount of time. No rules say you can't get some walk ins before those who have guaranteed appointments who will end up seeing someone regardless under 30 min . I had to walk away after 2 hours plus and being talked down to by staff and being dropped down from number one on the walk in list to number 3 is messed up. Some lady was there for over 3 hours before she was seen and I could see the staff just goofing around in the back like they were waiting for time to pass until their next appointment avoiding dealing with walk ins. All in all its a messed up system regardless of their "corporate" policy or not. Quest employees you are not robots and you can think for yourselves. STOP making people wait stupid amounts of time when you know you can see walk ins sprinkled in between guaranteed appointments. They can live to wait an extra 10 min especially if they are late. Quest is one of the worst labs I've had to visit. Never been treated so disrespectfully in front of other like I have there. read more

According to the EOB's I received from my insurance re; 2 recent claims, Quest was sent denials advising them to update my ID# and resubmit (the ID# partially changed). This is a common, simple part of medical billing Quest should have been able to handle. I kept getting bills, so I went on Quest's website and updated the insurance ID# on each bill and resubmitted earlier this week. On 5/12, Quest labs turned me away form a scheduled appointment saying I would have to pay over $500 out of pocket up front for these 2 claims before they would draw my blood. I explained the issue, what my EOB's said, and that I had resubmitted them, but the tech continued to refuse, bluntly and unapologetically. I found this to be not only frustrating, but highly disrespectful of me, especially considering it was a scheduled, fasting appointment. I was also 3 weeks post op from major surgery - walking and waiting in their crowded lobby was not easy for me. There are other choices - next time I'll go somewhere where I'm treated like a person and not an entry on a balance sheet! read more

Discrimination against someone or anyone, for any reason is wrong. So.... there are medical conditions I have that prevent wearing a mask. I was asked to wait outside on the curb. I was also chastised at the door that hold a covering to my face wasn't sufficient. I explained and was then told by staff I don't sound like a have a breathing issue that would prevent me from wearing a mask, I then had to explain not all disabilities are respiratory in nature. I complied, I put a mask on, I requested them to be quick, because I can not wear a mask for long, as in minutes. As I became symptomatic, I was offered to again wait outside, while paperwork was processed. Way to go in blowing a situation out of proportion, way to go in highlighting a disability. Way to go in discrimination... the ADA and the exemptions placed in the Pinellas County ordinances exist. I am thoroughly disappointed with this company policy and the treatment I received. I had an appointment for my son at 12:30. We were greeted outside, had our temperatures taken, and then were asked to wait inside. Chairs were set up at least six feet apart. We waited only two or three minutes before being called back. Brenda did an amazing job with my eight year old son. She was patient, thoroughly explained the process to put him at ease, and made him feel comfortable. Highly recommend her for pediatric bloodwork! read more

With Medicare and AARP United HealthCare Supplement (very expensive), I have never had to pay for a blood test until I went to Quest. Even with this insurance coverage, I owed $390. My doctor's office called Quest and they were told that it was all straightened out. One month later, another bill for $390. I will never go to Quest again. There are lots of labs that charge zero with this insurance coverage. HERE THIS ALL AARP MEMBERS, do not go to Quest. It's a rip-off. read more

I have used this facility for several years with no difficulty. However, today's experience was awful and very disappointing. I requested my Dr to fax over the lab work-up a week before. Unfortunately, it was not there so was asked to contact my Dr's office to fax over again. I called my Dr's office from my car and they said it had been faxed over prior, but they would do it again. so I went back and told the guy taking names that my fax was sent over again. He told me I would have to start my wait all over from the back of the line, that really made me mad. I should have been told to go inside and wait till my name was called. I had already been checked in once. After finally waiting in line again, I was seated for several minutes and a girl came out to me saying that the fax still had not come in, by this time over 45 min had passed. she looks at me and says, "It's still not here, I don't know what is going on." Ok, so why don't you pick up the phone, place a call to my Dr and find out what is going on?? Or is that above your pay grade?? I again place a call to my Dr, he is now standing at his fax machine watching for the fax to go through. I asked someone to please look out for the fax to come through. At this point I have been in the office for well over an hour. My name is called again and I go back to a room, the girl had trouble drawing my blood, she stops and calls someone else, and I am moved to another room.This person draws my blood w no difficulty but "instructs" me on drinking water!!! What??? I had been fasting!! Oh and then I needed to give a urine sample. When I tried to wash my hands after, there was no soap and the water pressure was a trickle. So much for properly washing my hands! I have never wanted to get out of a place so badly. I understand that faxes sometimes don't go through but those employees need to take the initiative and get on the phone with the Dr and find out what is going on, you dont dump it back in the patient's lap and say "I don't know what is going on". Quest is a business and we are customers, but today, I received poor customer service. read more
