Every 6 weeks for the last two years I come to this location. Location is convenient, clean, and the staff is kind, very friendly. I sometimes get in & out quickly and sometimes wait over 40 mins and need to bring to their attention I have been waiting too long. I have two complaints - I need to make sure they submit my blood for everything the doctor requested on the order sheet. They forgot to test my TSI level last time. They also take longer than they say 5 to 9 days to turn around my results even though they will tell you that they turn around in 3-4 days. read more

Her tone was loud, confrontational, and completely inappropriate. The situation caused me intense anxiety -- my body started shaking, and my heart was racing. I tried to calm myself down, but I ultimately felt too unsafe to proceed. I chose to leave without getting my blood drawn. Let me ask: would you feel comfortable letting someone in that state of anger handle a needle near your vein? If you work in healthcare, please remember -- your words and behavior matter. I go into this Quest regularly since my PCP is out of the area and I can't go into the office for labs. I make my appointment online and I check in with the woman who sits in at the the door to make sure you have an appointment and your mask on and she checks you in. The location is clean and orderly. The one key thing is: it's timely. You don't sit and wait all day. Yes, I have an appointment but that doesn't really mean much at Quest locations for the most part, but here it does. Once inside you're greeted by another nice tech who the draws your blood rather quickly after filling out a few forms and I'm on my way home. It's a really quick process, but I also do some of the lifting to make it easy for them to, which I know they appreciate as well. I have absolutely zero issues with this place and will always make this my lab of choice. read more

I arrived very late for my appointment but was still greeted with courtesy and professionalism. The woman at the door assisted patients with the check in process and made sure we all got signed in correctly. Due to the very full waiting room, I anticipated a very long wait, but was called back after around 20 minutes or so. Marvin was a wonderful phlebotomist. He explained every step of the process and all the papers I needed to sign. He could tell I was having a very rough day and I appreciated his concern. Overall, parking was the toughest part. I have never seen such an absolute sh*t show in a quest before. There was pure chaos in the waiting room with patients and staff arguing back and forth. The staff member "Mike" a man with glasses that worked there that was absolutely disgusting to me, if he hates his life so much working there he should quit every where is hiring. There is no point in making an appointment. Always add 20 minutes of wait time to your scheduled time. They either need more staff or reduce the amount of appointments they are allowed to scheduled. read more

This Quest Diagnostics was very clean. I had to do a blood test and a urine test. I was in and out within 20 minutes. There are kiosks to check in, I was called in maybe 3 mins after I checked in. However, another patient told me that there's no front desk person anymore. So it'll be difficult for those who need help checking in on the kiosks, such as the older population or people with disabilities. read more

This has got to be the worst location in the history of me attending a Quest Diagnostic. Don't bother to make an appointment at this location because you won't be seen on time so don't make plans if you must go to this location. I witnessed some of the staff become rude when asked a question as if you're insulting them or something. I say just quit then! I had to go to another location in order to complete the labs my doctor ordered because two different technicians could not draw my blood. Mind you I patiently waited well past my scheduled appointment time before being seen only for them to not complete my lab work. I had to leave because due to another important engagement. I gave myself ample time unfortunately I waited an hour past my appointment time. I felt like a human pin cushion when I left and I even informed them my veins play games now you see them then you don't. Hopefully they get better organized with their appointments I mean EVERYONE was complaining in there when I went. Could be staff shortage too who knows. read more

Arrived 15 minutes before scheduled appointment for routine lab and there were 20 people waiting in line in the heat. No mobile check-in offered. Just one person there checking in with no consideration of providing priority to those with appointments. No adherence by those in line of Social Distancing. Was concerned about my safety with the heat and lack of Social distancing. I have other choices for labs. If you can do mobile ordering at restaurants and curbside pick up at stores why this location does not offer mobile check in us beyond me. I'll be glad to take my business elsewhere. read more

I am leaving stunned from a Quest diagnostics appointment on 34th St N in St. Petersburg, FL. I had an appt at 3:00 pm. The sign on the door says closing time is 3:30 pm. I arrived at 3:08 pm to a dark waiting room and locked doors. I knocked for several minutes while trying to find the phone number. A woman came and unlocked the door at 3:11 pm. She yelled at me and told me there was no way I was here at 3. When I explained that I was within the window of being tardy and it was bad business to lock the doors more than 22 minutes before closing time, she yelled more. She let me in and locked the door behind her, still way ahead of the 3:30 closing time. She went back behind closed doors, was yelling about how she won't take me and she was going to smack the shit out of me. She was yelling so loudly that I could hear her clearly from the waiting room with a wall between us. When I was brought back, I asked her name and she took her badge off, stuffed it in her pocket, and said that she wasn't allowed to give me her name. I told her she extremely unprofessional and should not be working with patients. She continued to berate me with her yelling. Latrice, her co-worker, was extremely apologetic and tried unsuccessfully to deescalate the situation. She told me that the woman who was yelling was named April S. When I told April that I planned on reporting her to her supervisor and at a higher level, she called her site leader, Gigi, immediately. She changed her voice and her tone and acted as if she didn't know why I was upset. I asked for the phone and when I was talking to her, 2 more patients arrived (still before closing time) and had to knock loudly to be let in. April said she didn't know how the door got locked. I watched and heard her lock the door while she was yelling at me. Gigi was also very apologetic and said that they have a no tolerance policy for this. She said herself or Ashley, a supervisor, would be getting back to me by Monday. I work in medicine. I have never witnessed anything like this, in medicine or outside of it. This woman should not be working with people at all, much less sick people! The only acceptable resolution to this abusive behavior is for her to be terminated from her position, effective immediately. She is an unhinged liability to your company and her behavior was horrific and unacceptable. She should be embarrassed and ashamed of herself and certainly should no longer be employed with your company!!! read more

Check in woman working today is INCREDIBLY rude and really should not be working any job that involves interacting with people. I checked in with her and took my seat, waited 30 min and saw multiple people who arrived after me called back. I approached her and politely asked if she knew how much longer it would be for me. I acknowledged that the people called back before me probably had appointments and that I was fine with waiting but just wanted to check in. She looked at me, rolled her eyes, and just looked at the screen behind her (which I was unaware of) and told me to find my name up there. I said ok and thanked her and sat back down. A few minutes later, she approached me in my seat to tell me that they are working as quickly as possible and that people with appointments take priority and I should make an appointment if I don't want to wait. I again stated that I was fine with waiting and understand the appointment system. I am absolutely baffled that not only was she rude during our first interaction but that she felt the need to go out of her way and approach me to be rude for a second time. Truly one of the most bizarre and unnecessary experiences I have had at any medical office and really ruined my whole experience. read more

Bring a tent and enjoy your 2 1/2 hour wait! This place is horribly managed. If you make an appt, you will still be waiting over 2 hours. If you enjoy sun stroke, then hurry and come because they make you wait outside without an overhead awning. No chairs. You get to squabble with the others who are on the brink of losing it. Thomas "Tom" slapped my hand off of my 18 month old child's arm as the CPT was preparing to draw blood. Today, 3/25/2020, we went to get blood work done as a "walk-in" at 3:15pm. The CPTs I came in contact with were very pleasant besides Tom. As the Tech gathered her supplies she walked back in with Tom, and stated he was a "hold". My child is sleeping in my arms, and I have his right arm stretched out, holding underneath his elbow. She proceeds to wipe the area, while still holding his arm underneath his elbow, Tom grabs his wrist and above the elbow. He gives his arm a shake, then slaps my hand off and says I need to move, after I tell him he doesn't have to be so nasty and disrespectful. He could've ask me to move. He proceeds to say I need to move, and if I don't cooperate I can leave. I tell him that's no problem, I can always go else where but he needs to show some respect. He says have a policy. I cut him of and say nowhere in the policy does it say to hit a mother's hand off of her child's arm. I motion, and let the Tech know that she can proceed. My child cries, of course. Tom then say he doesn't understand why I'm being so nasty towards him smh. I tell him he's disrespectful, rude, and nasty. After the tech was done, he let's go of my child's arm, says you can hold his arm and do whatever it was you were going to do, then walks off. When I went to the front and asked for his name (first & last) he tells me no one there knows his last name, and they won't give it to me. No matter what type of day he had, at the end of the day working in a customer centered world especially healthcare, you need to have respect for the client/patients, and DON'T put your hand on them in any unwelcoming way. Not once did he introduce himself, or state what he was there for. He was dismissive, and down right disrespectful. This incident has been reported right after leaving the office. This was our 1st time here, and I've been to all locations we have in St. Pete (3). read more

My testing and blood draw was handled by a gentleman named Thomas at the 1101 34th St. , St. Petersburg Quest Lab. I have tests done frequently these days. Thomas was friendly, very efficient and caring. He also gave me the best and most painless stick Ive ever had. He must certainly be a very valued employee at Quest.
