Another excellent option would be their 'Soban Bulgogi' which is a spin on the traditional marinated beef. I know that when I've introduced my friends to the restaurant that they've enjoyed this dish. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Chatswood.

It's tucked in a pedestrian alley near the Metro Theatre and opposite the Hoyts Cinemas, and it's a cute little nook replete with booths and couches and it just takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the George Street chaos. It would actually make a great coffee den. I love Korean food, and had the signature marinated beef dish that came with 4 adorable little side dishes and rice. It was good, without being mind-blowing. A perfectly serviceable lunch. I really wanna try their soups, like the octopus and kimchi one looked outstanding. But it needs to be a cold day for soups, right?

Banchan or Korean sides were served shortly after we ordered. I had them with cooked meat wrapped in lettuce with some ssamjang sauce, they were decent. My beef tongue was sliced thinly with great consistency, so I was definitely happy with that. But the biggest let down for me was the Sliced Raw Beef. It came out half frozen. I can still taste ice in every bite, and the sauce was too sweet. It wasn't pleasant at all. A good first impression I thought. But the judge is still out on whether I would come back.

With so many options, one of those restaurants are bound to serve up food that suits your taste. So here I was, trying to decide what to eat when I saw this place, full of flowers outside the restaurant which can only mean one thing - it's just opened! Eagerly entering, the place was packed and we were lucky enough to get a table for 4. The restaurant was buzzing with people and smoke from the BBQ. The service was, I admit, rushed and disjointed, but I'll put the blame onto new staff and stuff. They were all friendly but flustered. The meat was quite good. Although when it comes out, it looks like a tiny portion and that you feel you're getting ripped off, it ends up being quite filling surprisingly. It may be quite expensive ($48 for one combination set which is not a whole lot of meat) but at least it was filling. The sides were plentiful and topped up so that was pleasant. Tip: If you don't mind or enjoy alcohol, you HAVE to try the soju (like a rice wine/liqueur). It's a must when having Korean BBQ. Quite frankly, all the Koreans drink at least 3-4 bottles between the 3/4 of them. Go try this place out, it's not bad (may not be the best in Strathfield but it's decent)!
