On various days and hours there are bustling people shopping for fruits, veg, meats, and other goods. While on other hours the lower level offers tables to munch on lunch items such as freshly made sandwiches, tea, coffee and desserts. Upper level offers proper dining with a rustic feel. The service is excellent and they will order things for you if you want something they dont stock. There is a post office, without the usual queues in post offices nowadays. The cafe is excellent value for money, good service, local home baked foods, yummy cakes and desserts, cooked foods or a simple sandwich, (freshly made, with salad and crisps on the side). The cafe is very popular but not noisy. I am disabled and this shop is a godsend as I cant walk around big shops and supermarkets but I can get most things here.

Not the place to do your regular weekly shop but perfect for specialist top up for your favourite top quality items or if you're making a special meal. You can guarantee that any item listed in a recipe book is there (although they didn't have tins of black beans when I was last there!).
