Let me first say that I hardly ever stop or shop at gas station convenient stores. Once I gave up…read morethe smokes, there really is no reason for me to go into one. The exception is, tho, whenever I have an early tee time, I sometimes will grab a breakfast sandwich at a local Micky Ds. This particular morning, since I was playing at Southbridge, I decided to visit the enmarket on Highway 17. Man, that's a bad choice. Entering the store gave me a picture of complete disorder, not very user-friendly . I just wanted to grab a quick breakfast sandwich and leave. The so-called hot breakfast area did not serve any purpose to me because I had no idea what the items offered were packaged. Plus, one of the ladies, who seemed like the one to ask questions about the breakfast, was in a conversation with another lady, appeared to be a friend. And never acknowledged me. So I moved to a hot sandwich display, which I saw when I entered, I am not a big fan of sandwiches under a hot light, but it seemed like the only option I had. While viewing the sandwiches, which were wrapped in sliver foil and labeled bacon, egg, and cheese on a biscuit. I grabbed a sandwich and headed to the counter to pay. Once in my truck heading to the course, I engaged in trying to open up the foil, which appeared to be a bigger issue than I expected. Not only did the foil seem to be glued, but I actually had to peel away the foil in pieces. Now I don't know about you, but when you have to peel the outside foil cover, it should raise a red flag. So after the sandwich was now visible and ready for consumption, another red flag jumped out, no bacon. Plus, the bottom of the biscuit was as hard as a rock. If i wasn't under a timeline, i would have taken the brick sandwich back. So the lesson here is never never never buy any food that is wrapped up in foil, sold at enmarket, you just might be in for a surprise, sort of like the old cracked jack box. Where you would get a prize with each box. Except here it is a prize you don't want. In ending, it cost almost $5. Very sad, and I will continue to shop for a sandwich next time at a real food store.

I went to this store and my total was $5.35. I gave them a $20 and only got $14 back. They told me…read moreno change back because of the "coin shortage". So, nowhere in this store is 65 cent? I find that very hard to believe. How many times a day are they doing this and what happens to all the extra money?

Automatic doors!!!…read more Stopped in to use the bathroom, and a good thing we did because the Motel 6 we planned on staying at wouldn't let us check in until 3. Standard procedure, but they lost a customer because we decided not to stay in Savannah. I'd never heard of Parker's, but apparently they're some kind of chain, like Royal Farms up north. The bathroom had signs on the door about needing a key, but the kid behind the counter seemed confused when we asked for it. It wasn't locked, so maybe take down the signs? The ladies room door was partially blocked by boxes. I'm not above using the men's room, especially when it's a single stall bathroom, but we were able to squeeze into the ladies. The sink was interesting. Someone had tagged the trashcan. We grabbed some coffee, ice for Jeremy's insulin cooler, and some gas. It was a fairly lackluster experience.

I filled up on gas and of course coffee. Counter service was less than friendly. However, there is a catch 22 to gas attendants or cashier. Either they are too friendly or not friendly enough. It is important for them to have a balance in their demeanor especially if the town host many visitors as Savannah does. Parker is a hit for location and convenience. Service could have been more upbeat. Convince beats service. B+ for Parkers. I'll be your cashier part time for $15 an hour!
