There are 4 brick stairs and the house was…read morebuilt before such rails were required by code.With one visit the stairs, angles, pitch and location were measured, and options were discussed with photos of the various styles. A short time later a phone call gave the price, which I thought was reasonable, and I gave the go-ahead. Another short time later another call set up a mutually agreeable time for installation, which was completed in an hour or so. The rails were fully fabricated when delivered. The iron rails look great and as though they were always there. They are anchored firmly in the brick and the black paint was touched up before they left. The folks at L&H are craftsmen and very proud of their work. They should be.

I went in around 10 am, and by 1 pm, they had called me to let me know the cost and that it would be done in an hour. Everyone I met was super helpful and friendly, and the repairs were really reasonable compared to having to replace the whole wheel.

THEIR "REPAIR" RUINED MY SOFA UPHOLSTERY! DON'T GO HERE!…read more The upholstery on my sofa detaches and is machine washable. I tore it while putting it back on. I asked them sew a similar fabric on the UNDERSIDE to reinforce it and keep it from ripping more. Didn't need to be perfect, I knew the tear itself could not be sewn together but patching and stitching the underside could mitigate the damage. I came to pick it up and BOTH SIDES were covered in a fabric patch that's not even a close match! I was told that there wasn't a way to reinforce it from the underside so they just did both. Even if that were true (it's not), why did no one call me FIRST and tell me the work I requested and paid for wasn't possible? This is a very basic ask of a professional tailor, it's unbelievable they got it so wrong! This patch is so much worse than the original tear. The sofa was custom made in Japan and is a one of a kind piece. Pics of the tear and what they did to it. The pics of the denim repair is an example of what I asked them to do.
