Bought tickets online and AAA also offers comparable discount…read more NOTE: they do not distribute maps so if you are a map person, download and print before you go. Going on a week day is less crowded however you might see kids attending summer camps. We went on Monday, July 6th and there was hardly any lines everywhere. Maybe it was because people were still vacationing for the July 4th weekend. The most we waited was 5 minutes. Sometimes they are not very efficient when letting on new riders such as the ferris wheel. We were able to get on all the rides and even repeated some rides because there was no line. You might have to wait for the train ride since it circles around. There's another pick up / drop off point halfway as well in case you want to get off, do something and get back on later. The paddle boat ride (ducks and swans) was fun - they tell you to paddle for 5 minutes then you need to paddle back. Every rider must wear a life jacket for safety reasons. The handle bar to control left or right turn was a little tricky but you get used to it. Yes - the food prices are high - which I was not surprised. I had a craving for a funnel cake which costs after taxes $17+ which shocked my hubby. The more crowded it is, the longer you'll need to wait in line and the fewer rides you'll be able to get on - so I suggest getting there when they open to maximize your time since they close at 5 or 6pm. We focused on the rides and didn't tackle the kids water park.

Food: overpriced, mediocre Garlic bread + chicken for $10,…read moretiny amount. Rides: horridly managed. Tons broken. Some are fun and quick. Some rides have ridiculously long lines that are poorly managed (like you're the 10th family in line but can't seem to get to the front after an hr in line... why??) The ferris wheel for example looks like a short line (we prob had 8 families ahead of us) but soo many seats left empty because they were somehow BROKEN. I have no idea why they let on like 4 people at a time when it can fit like 40 people at once (10 carriages fitting up to 4 people each). Took us 50min from entering line to finishing ride. We wanted to get out of the line so many times but my toddler wanted to ride it. The lake boat paddle ride seems so inefficient... took over 1hr in line and we gave up. The hot air balloon ride was horrid we had to get out of line bc it took forever to start the ride each time, they just let fast track people on, and it didn't fit that many people each time. It fits up to 4 but most balloons only had 1-2 people riding- they should encourage 2 families sharing a balloon. Water: looked fun but we didn't have the water play items and didn't want to spend another $50 on towels and such. Honestly think this is probably the only worthwhile area of the park but it's only open during the summer. (But water parks are NOT worth $65pp + $25 parking) Nature center was actually nice and air conditioned but apparently they're downsizing it permanently after October. The train broke. South county backroads (car buggy ride) was broken. The monorail was broken the whole day. How are they charging $65 per person? Guess we're not getting the membership option. Parking is $25 .... that's ridiculous. Overall extremely disappointed with this place, found it overpriced, too many rides broken, and will not be coming back.

Season pass includes extra discounts like discount for food depending on season, discount for extra tickets and included parking (for most CA parks besides the excluded one mentioned!). Buy online for your tickets- cheaper than at the gate for regular tickets. Easy to set up your season pass online and grab other promos like the $17.76 tickets for the first week of July! Parking - super easy lot with adequate signage for entrance and exits. Not too far from the front like six flags Vallejo- I like how the app does let you note your parking location but I will say the app stopped giving me my actual location so that was annoying. Friendly workers just doing their best. Went on 4th of July and it wasn't as crowded so we got lucky but it was nice to see the crowds there!

By 6pm, there were long lines for all the popular rides. I love this park because it's big but not overwhelming. There's a good selection of kid-friendly and heart-pounding rides. I really enjoyed Flight Deck, Gold Striker, Orbit, and Centrifuge. There are also experiences, like a 4-D spaceship ride. As a Snoopy fan, I was super excited for Snoopy Land, with a whole range of Snoopy-themed rides, merch, and buildings. There was a good selection of food options, like Panda Express, American diners, a Southern restaurant, a funnel cake spot, Dippin Dots stands, and more. I was also impressed with how big the water park is. I spotted plenty of water slides, a lazy river, a water playground, a wave pool, and plenty of lounging seats. Definitely need to visit again and do a pool day!

2026 Company Beach Party/Summer Picnic BBQ at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk!…read more Since we had a group event there was a $15 discount provided for daily parking at certain Boardwalk lots which was nice. Unlimited rides wristbands for all, plus catered lunch at the Sun Room at The [Cocoanut] Grove venue. I haven't been to the Boardwalk in maybe 20 years, but did go a bunch when I was little. It's their Centennial year too, 100 years! Love the carnival style games, classic arcade, rides, caricature artists, and of course, the main beach. I specifically sought out the Giant Dipper wooden Rollercoaster, the original Looff Carousel with the brass ring catching game, and the sky gondola this trip. Since food was provided at the Grove I passed on the funnel cakes, beignets, Dippin' Dots, pretzels and the like. They did have a commemorative reusable/refillable drink cup with a bendy straw though. The MyFunMoment selfie stations weren't working that day though. Didn't stay for summer nights live music or movies on the beach, and rides go till late. A fun day trip, great weather!

They said it was one of the scariest rides they've ever been on and felt like they were almost coming out of their seats because the lap bar was the only restraint. As a parent, that was really unsettling to hear. I was surprised there wasn't an over-the-shoulder restraint or seat belt, which would have made us feel much safer. I know many people love this historic coaster, but based on my kids' experience, it's just not a ride we'll be doing again.

Amazing park and zoo for younger children…read more My sons are five and eight and this was the perfect park for them. They are very active so I appreciated how there are multiple places for them to run around and play. If you were there for the zoo, a lot of the habitats are under construction so I wasn't as impressed with that area. Same with the rides, they are for pretty young kids, I'm thinking 3 to 5. So none of them were that interesting to my older son except for the one small roller coaster that he rode once. Also, they weren't open all day so a lot of them weren't open when we walked by them. But the reason none of this bothered me was because the playgrounds were a spectacular and the price point for a day is quite low so I felt that the quality match the price. They do have a quick service Restaurant here where you can grab food. I was very impressed by the selection. They had both food that kids love as well as healthier options. Although take this with a grain of salt because we are visiting from Florida, so our options are generally not healthy. I don't know what the standard is in California so this may just be the norm. We did bring a stroller which was useful when my younger son refused to keep walking. However, this park isn't huge so you could get away without bringing a stroller. This place is pretty much all outdoors so I wouldn't come here if it was raining. The weather was beautiful when we were here. If I lived closer, I would definitely have an annual pass.
