One of the better layouts in the area but consistently slow pace of play. Also the greens here used to be known for being firm and fast. They are regularly painfully soft and slow, don't roll true because you hit footprints all the way to the hole. I would avoid this course if you like decent greens. read more

Really nice layout with quality fairways and greens. The tees can use some work, but the biggest complaint was that the holes seem like they are not moved frequently as almost every cup was overgrown. It was like using a putting aide with a hole about 3/4 the normal size. Some really great views around different holes based on the elevation changes. read more

I had a great experience here over the weekend! It's a very nice course and the members are kind as well. I mostly stayed in the putting green area since I am a newer golfer. Since I wasn't sending balls flying for miles, I was actually able to use my own balls, which was nice. It made for a perfect Sunday morning. read more

This is a terrific course to play, and worth the travel to get there. It's long, and the terrain features bring a challenge to moderate to good golfers. Shot placement and overall course management skills can reward the skilled player. Nicely laid out over a large field, with undulations, hills, hazards and trees. The greens can fool you...so mind your reads with care! A beautiful clubhouse, nice lounge and a pro shop that is kept in good supply top off a great spot to test your game. Not a great experience here. Had an early tee time on a weekday but despite this the course was oversaturated with other groups. We were assigned two carts, one of the guys I was with went to get bags in one cart and by the time I got out from paying both carts were gone. The guy assigning carts acted as if this was our fault. Once we got that sorted out, some unfriendly guy came up to us with a clipboard and condescendingly asked for our receipts. The course was fine but I'd say nothing really sets it apart from the similar public courses nearby. Many holes run parallel to each other so you'll frequently have visitors onto your fairways. At one point, some guy came onto our fairway and hit away one of our balls without even checking with us. It was nearly $40/person for 9 holes, rather overpriced if you ask me. Quicksilver is one of my favorite golf courses in the area. Arriving to the course and getting checked in is simple and easy. A little bit pricey, but I believe that you get great value for the experience at Quicksilver. Customer service is great and the facilities are wonderul. The course is very well maintained and is consistent every time you play. Beautiful views and some great shots to be made. GPS system in cart is helpful. Layout can be a little bit awkward - Blind shots, Tricky lies, hills and dips, etc. However, I've never found the course unfair or confusing. Bad tee shots arent very punishing and you can usually still play a mishit ball without much trouble. Challenging course but very fair. I personally think that Quicksilver is one of the best public courses in Western PA. A little bit more expensive than other public courses in the area.. but it is worth it. I highly recommend it! read more

9/8/19- course was in excellent shape as expected. Tee of was at 9:12 so we paid full rate and was well worth the $70. Greens lightning fast would be an understatement. It made for a very fun and challenging round. GPS carts should have shown the other golfers ahead of you on blind holes, that's my only negative remark, although it was honestly not a big deal. Staff in the clubhouse was friendly and attentive. Quicksilver has not seen the last of me. read more

Very little in food and drink at clubhouse...green fees are overpriced and management is not conducive to walking golf...they want slower cart play to be mainstream...overall experience is ok but stay away from employees at clubhouse.... read more

Although a beautiful golf course. Coworkers were criticizing me on my put at the 18th hole and used "curse words" so I repeated them in response to what they said. They accused me of bringing a bottle of E&J brandy on my Golf Cart, however, it wasn't mine. Thus, I got "dismissed" from the golf course even though the coworkers were robust and didn't listen to the customers perspective. I guess the golden rule of business "the customer is always right" doesn't fit into this establishment. Very uncharmed. Would rather take my golfing to Fox Chapel Country Club. read more

Well kept golf course w/improvements on the way. Greens are always true. Entire course is fairly well grown, particularly in the fairways. Some of the rough can be a bit spotty at times, requiring an occasional drop, but mostly 4 star quality. Driving range is also one of the best in the area, if you're OK adjusting for elevation on some of your yardages. Tight/fairway/tee box type cut at the range and can always find a clean spot to hit. The actual clubhouse facilities could use some touching up (probably 2 to 3 stars here), but I'm focused on the golf. One of the better courses in the region. Price isn't probably worth the $70 at the beginning of the day, but $50 for 18 is OK in my book. $44-45/18 is a good deal. read more

This course will challenge you with interesting bunker placement and they make good use of the rolling hills. Not for beginners! This course has reasonable prices and the benefits of a much more expensive course. For how well maintained the grounds + the GPS unit, I am surprised they don't charge a hundred bucks for 18 holes. read more

I have been here a number of times to play. The course is well maintained, and the club house is nice. There is a large bar area with lunch specials everyday. The course itself is challenging. There are a few uphill holes, which I find difficult to play. I recommend using a cart. read more

Fantastic course. Pretty much out in the middle of nowhere but the course layout, as well as the amenities, are really superb here. Clubhouse offers up some nice drinks/food for after the round and the clubhouse offers a wide selection of gear/accessories for the round. Nicest perk about this course is the GPS units in the carts. It'll tell you how far you are from the hole, where other golfers are and you can even order food/drinks from it. Awesome course. read more

Although the course looks nice upon arrival, you find out that it's basically a municipal course. Fairways are wide open and if you slice or hook on most holes you'll still have a shot to your own green. The course is peppered with sand traps which are placed to cause problems; but at least they're filled with good sand and not rocks. The course isn't really filled with the risk-reward you might expect of a course that costs $70 to play. Personally, I've found much better courses for under $40 all within 60 or 70 miles of this one. I would recommend that you don't pay to have a mediocre experience. Spend the money on your favorite course and have a great experience. read more

Had our daughter's wedding reception at Quicksilver yesterday. We had the filet mignon and stuffed chicken as the entrees, both were outstanding. I personally had the filet, and it was so much better than what you get at local steak houses. It was tender and had great flavor and was a very good size, many compliments on the chicken also. The staff is what makes this a first class venue, all were so friendly and went above and beyond what was expected of them. Brian was also very accommodating and easy to work with, even with my many questions and visits to look at the venue, he was always available and easy to reach. First class and very affordable. If you are looking for a wedding reception venue this is your place. I give them ten stars. The view was also beautiful. We got so many compliments from our guest on the food, efficient staff and how wonderful the ballroom looked. read more

My friends and I played this course today. It is a very good, though not excellent course. The course is interesting in it's layout, though almost every hole doglegs right and nothing goes left. The course is not very punishing, with lots of open space for bad shots. That said, there are a couple of water holes that are a challenge. Our biggest issue with the course was the lack of food. We arrived before breakfast and expected at least the basics. The course had literally nothing for breakfast (unless you count Snickers or peanut butter and crackers). Further, the kitchen does not open *at all* on Sundays, so lunch is only a hot dog. When we questioned this, the staff member was almost rude about it. "I guess the kitchen gets Sunday off; I don't know." These are poor choices by management for a good course. read more

The course is great but after setting up an early tee time 730 am so my fellow coworkers and I would make it back for our 1pm shift. Then getting there and saying it is getting pushed back until 9am for frost. No big deal understandable, but when you ask why it could not be posted on quicksilvers website,and the worker looks at you with disgust and says "website" why would we do that. Makes sense so your customers do not wake up at 6 am to play your course and waste time and money getting there. Posting on your website would be a great idea so your customers know what's going on when we leave may it be frost, cart path only, or an outing that day. Quicksilver is a fantastic golf course just very upset on what happened, us being mid 20 yr old golfers probably had something to do with how we were treated. read more
