The owner does not handle feedback well. Someone had a bad experience and he sent defamation threats on social media for someone simply saying they had a bad experience. I mentioned that was a poor way to respond to a potential clients feelings and the owner proceeded to PRIVATE message me and other brides commenting on the post details about the original posters situation which I found insanely defensive and horrible business practice to share other customers situations to justify or defend themselves as an established business. Very aggressive and threatening for somewhere that should be kind and light hearted for brides to feel comfortable and excited about their wedding dress! I included messages he sent to people unrelated to the situation. The older gentleman was extremely rude, and talked down to my fiance at every turn when asked to provide simple measurements for a custom dress that my fiance intends to purchase. I would give them a negative review if I could. They do not stand for quality work at all and do not complain because they will try to make it out to be your fault. They have a lot to learn about customer service. The woman will attempt to convince you that they did nothing wrong. The man will threaten violence (he actually threaten to basically hit me in more explicit wording). I will explain how this all came about. I dropped off a new suit to be tailored and I need a quick return. She said no problem and fitted one side of my body (which I found very strange). My mother in-law picked up the suit and brought it to me (I live all most 2 hours away). While inspecting the jacket there was two holes put in the lapel and the sleeves were not done at all. The pants were two separate lengths. My tags from the suit had been cut off which I did not ask to have done. This ran close to $100 (no refunds). The glitter that got all over my things and myself was free I guess. In the end I took the pants to Chic (she is amazing and fast) to be fixed (costing more). Last night I mistakenly made an appointment here. I live in NY but am getting married in Kansas and need to get my dress altered in NY so I can have multiple fittings. I called to see if I could get my $50 deposit back since i literally am not in the state. Owner on the phone was very rude told me about the 48 hr cancellation policy and i explained I booked last night and was not in the state. He told me the system wouldn't let him refund me? Then he tried to tell me they could alter my dress and have it done in the same weekend as my wedding. I told him I was not comfortable not doing multiple fittings and he was very rude! My daughter recently had her wedding dress hemmed and bustled. Our experience was excellent. In spite of the fact that my daughter's appointment was slightly less than a month before the wedding, the work was done on time and as promised. Many, many people have used Quickstitch for years, as I witnessed from seeing so many coming and going while we were there. I talked to a couple customers and found out they'd been using Quickstitch for all their alteration needs for a long time. Prepare to be told their policies in detail, including that they will only speak to the actual bride. The owner told me situations which led to each of their policies, including a bridesmaid who had a falling out with the bride and tried to cancel everything. Hence, only the bride, not parents or anyone else, can make changes in anything. They will also arrange cleaning and preservation of your dress. Please don't go here, especially if you are soft spoken and don't like confrontation. I read through a bunch of really amazing reviews online and brought my wedding dress in to see if they could hem my dress and put a bustle on it. When I walked in, the husband very bluntly directed me toward the dressing room to put the dress on. They have a $50 non refundable fee for consultation. The wife, Juliana, was very sweet, professional, and pinned my dress quickly. I went to the desk to set up appointments and, come to find out, they were going to charge me $290.00 to hem the dress. Additionally, they set the pick up date to November 20th when my wedding was December 15th and out of state. I felt uncomfortable with that price and the timeline, but didn't feel like I could speak up without being verbally beaten down. My dress was such that I could get away without the hem if I wore taller shoes. The husband made me feel very small, uncomfortable, and was pressuring me to pay. I very much regretted walking into the shop. I was prepared to walk out $50 down due to how uncomfortable I felt and felt like I wasn't even allowed to walk out with my dress if I didn't. Juliana came to smooth things over and offered to just do the bustle for $75. I agreed and paid the full price ahead of time so that I would not walk out with nothing. The husband talked down to me, emphasizing no refunds. I left and searched online until I found some other negative reviews detailing similar experiences. That confirmed for me that I had made a terrible mistake. I went back the next day, bringing some of my in laws with me because of how uncomfortable this place had made me feel. The husband was extremely rude to me once I asked for my dress back. I tried to ask for a refund anyway because I knew they hadn't worked on my dress. I stopped that very quickly because the husband became very irritated and intimidating. I didn't feel safe and just wanted to get my dress and leave at that point. I was fumbling for the ticket to get the dress back and couldn't find it in my purse, so I pulled up a picture of the ticket on my phone. They tried to tell me that they wouldn't give me my dress back without the physical ticket. My in laws threatened to call the police because of his demeanor and him threatening to withhold the dress. They did eventually bring my dress back down, but the husband was staring threateningly at my mother in law and was mumbling insults under his breath. She told me that she also felt unsafe. I do not believe that I am the first customer he has treated this way and desperately hope that something changes for this business or else that others will listen to what happened and find somewhere else to do business. read more

What Julianna was able accomplish with my dress was lovely, but everything was so late, so late in fact that my dress was not completed on my wedding day. My wedding was in July, so I brought my dress in January hoping that would be plenty of time to alter it, but my dress was repeatedly side lined for dresses for high school celebrations like prom. I was also told constantly to "not worry about it." I finally told Julianna that due to time, I would prefer to lose the money and take my dress to Kansas City. That finally got things rolling but it was still too late to finish the dress. It was a stressful experience and the result wasn't worth it. I would certainly not take a dress there again because I wouldn't be able to trust the result, as good as they could be, to actually happen on time. My daughter bought a prom dress last minute and it had so many issues that needed altered. The back straps were too long, the breast area poked out like a Madonna bra and the length was WAY too long! This was a high dollar poufy dress. I took it to Maple Street Alterations and the lady quoted me $170 to alter (THAT WAS ONLY FOR HEMMING IT and not fixing any of the other issues) I was shocked. I decided to give Quickstitch a call and I am very happy I did. Juliana gave me a much more fair price and really paid attention to every area of the dress that needed fixing. It wasn't easy because the front of the dress was heavily beaded. Juliana had to personally work on it herself and she did it within a week. She was such a sweet and welcoming person. I brought a brand new dress to Quickstitch to get it hemmed. The dress was never worn and tags were still attached. When I arrived to pick up my dress 6 days later, I was told they need to do some quick fixes before they could give it to me and asked me to come back in the morning. I needed to wear the dress to an event early the next morning so I asked the seamstress to show me the dress as I was willing to fix it myself if it was a minor fix. They finally admitted they forgot about the dress. I was lied to and no work was done on the dress. I had no choice but to return the next morning. When I arrived to try on the dress the next morning, I noticed dark stains on different areas of the dress. I pointed it out to the clerk that worked there. He advised they were steam marks because they just steamed the dress. So I took the dress and left. As soon as I got home, I put the dress on noticed the stains were still on the dress. They look like grease stains that would not come out. I couldn't wear the dress that I had paid $50 to get hemmed. I called Quickstitch back and notified the clerk that the stains were still in the dress. I was informed by the gentleman that he would call me back after discussing it with the seamstress. I never got a call back. I do not recommend this business. This place is a hot mess. read more

Not very happy with my experience. I bought a dress online for a wedding in California and needed it altered from long sleeve to short sleeve, when I got there she told me that it could be done, so I paid for the work and was told to pick it up later that week. Later that week when I went to pick up my item, she told me that she could NOT make it short sleeve (and didn't give a reason) but she had altered it to be shorter (but no where near what I wanted/needed) it was still long sleeve!. I was upset that I was not called that week so they could let me know that it could not be done. Instead I paid for work I didn't want , and now have to find someone in California to do it for me the way I want because I have been told that it CAN be done. Update: when I got to California I took my dress to a dry cleaning store that did alterations, and they did it exactly how I needed it. I used to come here all the time to get my shirts altered. I even had my wedding shirt tailored at this store. I've noticed, however, that the quality of the tailoring is all over the place. Some shirts are great while others are not. One time I bought in four of the same shirt (same brand and same size). Some fit but others were either so loose (like they hadn't even been tailored) or so tight that they couldn't even fit my body. The costs to alter the shirts aren't cheap either so now I'm down a lot of $$$ for the shirts and the alterations without the ability to wear my shirts. I am very disappointed and it's sad. Now I have to find another tailor shop in town and that's hard to do in this small town. read more

I've been to Quickstitch twice now and received excellent service each time. The first time my husband needed his suit jacket fitted. The man that helped us certainly knew what he was doing. He pinned it up, checked us out, and a couple of days later we were back and the jacket fit perfectly now. The second time I came back was to get my grandma's wedding dress hemmed and fitted. The lady that helped me was very helpful and knowledgable as well. The whole process took a couple of weeks and I came in a couple of times to try the dress on and take new measurements. I can't stress how excellent the customer service was. She was able to transform an old scrap of an heirloom into a wearable and beautiful dress! The final cost was between $200 and $300 (it was a year ago, I forgot!) but for the amount of work she put into my dress it was well worth it! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. DO NOT GO HERE. My senior year prom, I bought my $700 dress at Dress Gallery. It was two sizes too big but they told me to go to Quick Stitch and it would be no problem. Well for starters, it took them four weeks to get it done, meaning I got my dress back the week of prom. THEN, I go pick up my dress and they did NOT alter it. They simply only folded in the sides and HAND stitched THREE stitches into each side. They came out before I even put it on. So I had bulges on my sides, the alterations were WAY off, didn't even come close to fitting. I took it back to Dress Gallery and they fixed it. DO NOT GO HERE. They ruined my senior prom and my $700 dress. The beading was all messed up and it was a mess. read more

Beware. I've learned that Quick Stitch only likes to showcase their 5-Star reviews on their website and deleted their Facebook reviews so that they can control what is seen. I did not have a great experience with Quick Stitch. I brought my wedding dress in only hoping to get a quote and shop around for alterations before deciding. After trying on the dress and letting them pin where they said they needed to make alterations, it almost felt hostile and like I couldn't leave with my dress. So I just decided to let them do it. No big deal. They also do not tell you up front that you have to pay them before anything is done. To me, this was strange. It cost me $350 to have my dress hemmed, taken in a little at the bust, my belt attached, and have a bustle sewn in. I was given a ticket and told my dress would be ready by May 5th and to schedule my appointment online sometime for after that date. I go to their website and schedule my appointment for the morning of the 12th. I live in Kansas City, so I cannot just drive down on a whim. I come down on the 12th to learn nothing has been done to my dress, they cannot find it in their store, and they did not have my appointment. That is a nightmare for any bride 3 weeks away from her wedding. I had a meltdown needless to say. Come to find out, they take pieces home to work on them. That terrifies me. How do you know your dress is somewhere secure? I was told that it would be taken care of and ready by the following Saturday. I make a special trip down the following Saturday to get my dress. It was finished and seems to fit fine which is great. But they did not offer anything to compensate me for a wasted trip to Wichita for when I had originally scheduled my appointment. Very poor customer service in my opinion. When someone pays you that amount up front, has to make special trips to you for your services, and you have not provided those services correctly...some type of refund should be issued. My bridesmaid did not have a great experience either. When she brought her dress in to get it hemmed and cups sewn in, she was told that the dress was made of too cheap of a material to get cups sewn in...excuse me? So she just got it hemmed and was going to figure out the cups later. The hem was $80. She then took it to a different alterations place for cups. They are sewing in cups and they are redoing the hem because it is uneven. So that's that. Poor customer service for what they charge in my opinion. read more

I live in China and got my wedding dress made there. I realized when I got home to Wichita for my wedding that my dress was too long. The dress is all lace and isn't possible to hem by machine. I moved to this area 11 months ago. I needed a bridesmaid dress altered and hemmed. I was recommended this place from a friend. Quickstitch is AMAZING. From the moment I walked in the door, I was helped by her husband and was told to go try my dress on. They are both very friendly. Juliana immediately got to work! She speaks English very well. I just picked up my dress today and it was PERFECT. The length is on-point and she put cups in my dress (as I requested). I am so happy with the service. I will never forget the bizarre encounter I had with this place. Summary: it ended in the gentleman who works here following me out into the parking lot, threatening to call my workplace and get me fired, or even involve the police. My advice: they are mostly awesome, given all the 5 star reviews, but all it takes is one hiccup to create a larger headache for you than you bargained for. The guy who works here is hot-headed and confrontational. You probably have better things to do than deal with that. My workplace contracted them to embroider some jackets for us. I went to pick them up and arrived late, just a few minutes after closing. However, I saw they were still there - the gentleman, in particular, was close to the door. I rapped on the glass and waved, hoping that I could quickly pick up the order since we had already paid and all he had to do was hand me the box. He ignored me, or didn't hear me. So I called their phone, and although I could still see him in the shop, he didn't answer. I know he didn't owe me an answer after closing, but as a customer, I appreciate it when people give a little more than the bare minimum. This, coupled with a few other encounters my coworkers had with him where he seemed a bit off or even bordering on rude led me to give them a 3-star review. I wrote "They do good work at a good price but their customer service leaves a bit to be desired." Two days later I returned to pick up the jackets, this time on time. The gentleman was extremely confrontational and demanded, loudly, that I take the review down. He said "I will show you security footage to prove that you were late, I will show you!" I politely declined, and tried to leave with my order before it escalated. He followed me out to the parking lot, and again invaded my personal space and yelled his demand that I take down the review. He said "You lie about me and have no right to post what you post." I tried to diffuse the situation. "You seem upset. I understand I arrived late, and I could have called earlier, but what I wrote is an opinion, not a lie." He said, "I will call your workplace and get you fired, I did it to a nurse before, I'll do it to you. Take it down now!" I again declined, and offered, "I will revise the review to provide facts about the encounter if you want." He then threatened to call the police. He was close to my car and seemed very upset and irrational, so I decided it was just not worth it to stand my ground. The last thing I need is to have to deal with a car repair because I irritated the wrong individual. I showed him as I deleted the review, and he stormed off back into his shop. Later I perused the reviews and found that they have been very aggressive in confronting customers who leave them negative feedback. I understand that as small business owners, they sacrifice a lot and work hard. I like to support small businesses. However, his behavior was unacceptable. I have a review for Quick Stitch in Wichita Kansas. Brought my dress in 2 months ago to get sized, she was friendly and helpful. Ended up only adding a couple of buttons to the inside of the dress to hold the train. The end of September I went and tried it on. It was perfect. Left the dress to be sent to the dry cleaners and steamed due to it had been hanging for some time and I smoke in the house. Picked it up October 6th. I was told it didnt need cleaned, that she steamed the dress and it was fine. I trusted she knew what she was talking about. Oct 12th I took the dress out of the plastic it was wrapped in to try it on with a certain bra before the wedding Oct 13th. On my dress was blood stains all over the underneath side. I took pictures of the stains. I called her the next morning, she acted like it was no big deal. Told me to bring the dress in to have it cleaned. She didnt know how it could have happened. I stated that the stains weren't there when I brought it to her or when I tried the dress on for my fitting. It was no big deal to her that my dress was disgusting the day of my wedding. read more

I brought this company two hats for them to embroider and was told it would take 7 to 10 days max to complete my order . I called on the 7th day to check in and visited the shop on the 10th just to be told both times they had not been completed and to come back the following week . Fast forward three weeks of being told they would be completed by a certain time and them not following through they finally had my hats ready to be picked up . Upon arriving to their shop it was discovered they had embroidered the wrong logo on my hats . The owners first response was to get rude and yell at his seamstress who did the embroidery . I was then told they would order replacements and they would have them done by the following week . I followed up at the end of every week just to be told they were not ready . On the third week into the follow ups ( now a month and a half from my first visit ) I asked for my money back . The owner asked " why we are replacing your caps !? " , then stated he would check and call me right back . Again I received no return call, so I called at the end of the following week and was then rudely told to come get my money . Upon arrival of collecting my refund the owner argued with me on the $18 I spent to purchase the hats I brought them even though I was showing him the online receipt . Keep in mind when I ordered the hats they only took four days to be delivered . He then told me "we keep these hats in stock , just in another brand" . Floored to the fact they didn't tell me this from day one I made the mistake and agreed to let them embroider the hats they keep in stock and was then told to come back the following day as they would be ready to pick up . Upon arrival the next day , low and behold they only completed one of the two hats and again it was the WRONG LOGO . The owner at this point became rude and confrontational and blamed me for " never telling him what logo to embroider " , even though I previously paid them $45 for a " logo set up fee " and had a few shirts embroidered with the same logo . After arguing with him I then went home and pulled the printed copy of the logo specification sheet that they provided on my first visit of dropping off the hats showing the logo and proving the error was on them and not me . When I brought it back to show them . This visit was greeted with both owners being short and rude . Once again there was no apologies or customer service whatsoever and was told " we will fix it " so before I left I asked if they would please call me when done and they agreed . Fast forward another 15 days and no calls from them. I finally touched base to check on the hats and they acted like they had no clue who I was or what I was talking about and was told they would call me right back after they checked their files . I then asked "how have you forgotten our multiple conversations and visits to your store " . Once again I never heard back . It's now been over seven months since my first visit and no results other than my hats ( that I payed for ) with the wrong logo . I have not been impressed one bit and definitely will not be returning or recommending this dishonest company to anyone . These guys also charge 100% up front leaving you holding the bag if any errors arise . From the few times I've used them the turnaround time was never delivered when promised , and the quality was ok at best , but their location is close to home so I kept trying .
