I really reserve one-star reviews for establishments that go out of their way to ruin my experience…read moreof something; the SBSC is not a great facility, but they're not actively doing anything to make it bad-- it just is what it is. A large expanse of grass surrounded by spike-top iron fencing helps keep the substantial population of homeless in the immediate vicinity from accessing the plat fields, but parking is $10 per vehicle, and there isn't t nearly enough of it. Unless your kid has the first game of the day, you're gonna have a bad time finding a spot. Parking outside exponentially increases the chance of enjoying a vehicle break-in, even in broad daylight. Once you establish there are no spots, they sometimes open a lot across the street at the school. This gives you a great view of the open field chock full of homeless and tweakers... several are using sports-themed EZ-UPS as makeshift shelters, ostensibly lifted from the backs of pick up trucks. As for the field, there are two bathroom/snack bar buildings, and they're nowhere near your kid's game. Or your car. Remember that scene in Poltergeist when Jo Beth Williams tries to run down the hallway and it just gets longer and longer? It's kinda like that. Restrooms are old and run down, but I did see staff trying to clean and restock one time. The fields are a melange of grasses and weeds, mowed low and under-watered, and about the same hardness as a Target parking lot. One positive: the facility is only a block or two from the freeway, so when it's time to leave, you don't dilly dally or find yourself navigating the lovely streets of Highland for too long. Not sure why they keep scheduling tournaments here, but maybe that's just a dissertation on the shortage of decent youth sports facilities in SoCal.

Last year the girls earned the honor of Grand Champions due to their excellent performance at a competition that was held in Las Vegas, May 2017. These girls are very well mannered, confident and truly enjoy Velocity. The coaches hold these girls to very high standards and the girls understand how important it is to do their best but still a lot of fun doing it. Big Little Dreams in Jurupa Valley is such a cool spot for families and baseball fans! You can…read moreactually see three baseball fields from inside the restaurant, which makes it a great place to grab some food while watching the games. We tried the hot dog, chicken nuggets, pizza, icy, sodas, and beers, and everything was a great choice while hanging out and watching the action. The bathrooms were also clean, which is always a big plus when you're there with the family. They don't allow outside food or drinks, and admission is $10 per person for anyone over 12. One thing that was convenient for us was that they didn't check our wagon, so we were able to bring it in. Overall, it's a fun, clean, family-friendly place with a great atmosphere and a unique view of multiple baseball fields. Definitely a place I'd come back to!

For the prices charged to enter, to do tournaments, the grounds are the worst. Bare fields, holes…read morein grass, holes where people are suppose to sit, grates for pipes deep in the ground you fall in or filled with water sludge. There are no signs warning you of the hazard. There are laws they are violating for safety and water born viruses. Dirty bathrooms with no paper towels and toilet paper. Rude staff that get on your case for a Gatorade after spending 50 just to get in. The surrounding grass area is a mix of dead grass and dirt. The cemented areas are covered in dirt and sludge. The bench seating is sparce so you're forced to bring in chairs and sit in areas with holes and puddles with mosquitoes. The dugouts/team seating have cheap cloth covering only portions of it. This place sucks and shouldn't even charge entry if they aren't taking care of anything.

Sad that a team can literally win one game in a full weekend tournament, file a dispute about documentation, and walk away with gold rings for players that didn't even EARN a seat in a championship tournament. SHAME ON YOU "Just wanna make Money" for not teaching these young boys good sportsmanship over running a business. If you have the option to play other tournaments over JWPB TAKE IT!!!! Teach your boys the real value of hard work and ethics over heading home with some cheap Chinese ring they may or may not even earn.
