We hired Mid County Handyman to build a porch for us. I specifically told him what I wanted at the…read morebeginning right off the bat He requested $1000 more than he originally quoted because he said he forgot to add materials in for the roof. I didn't question it even though I felt like that wasn't right, but I paid the extra thousand as the porch was being built. He kept needing more money upfront when all was said and done there's quite a few issues with the porch we've got boards that look like crap on this porch. I see screws that weren't screwed in correctly. I picked up a ton of screws out of the yard and they kept saying they were running out of screws. Well I see why. When I originally got the quote, I specifically said I wanted the roof flashed to the house and they said yes that would be no problem at the end of the porch being built. When I showed up to pay the remaining balance hadn't been flash, and they told me no they just push the tin up under the eve well naturally it leaked the first time it rained then Christian said I had not paid for those materials. that was one of the main things that I wanted with the porch and I know I specified that more than one occasion I even have it in a text message. Then he tells me he's got the flashing. He's having trouble finding the adhesive in the foam pads so I started searching for the adhesive. Sent him a text message and asked him if this is what he needed and he said yes so they came back out after much back-and-forth discussion about it and I purchased the adhesive Myself. He comes back out and put that up. first time it rains leaking again I called him again and he stated that that's what I wanted to put up there and he only did what I asked well first off I'm not a roofer, but secondly, he said he had the flashing was looking for the adhesive so there again he is trying to put it off on me and that is not the case. So again I went and purchased the flashing and his worker came out and put it on so as of now the roof is not leaking Because of the worker. The worker called us because he wanted to make it right. christian had nothing to do with it being fixed finally Christian tried to tell me it was blow back and that my house needed gutters by this time I was so over messing with him I didn't even bother to call about the other things that are messed up and believe me there are things messed up. If I walk around this porch, I can see things that are wrong, but in any case, I just felt like people should know I would not hire him again for anything. Not to mention, we paid him to put the boards on a lowboy trailer That he did not finish by his own admission. And he used to our trailer twice to go get supplies to build my porch and the second time he said he would pay us to do it. Well I have yet to see any of that money. I just would not recommend him.

I called the office and talked to Debbie, who told me that the way Bob works is he would come out…read moreand give a bid and call me back. She had him scheduled to go out on 3/1/2023. I had to call back twice after this date to find out if Bob had the bid (at a commercial location). She said he didn't have the bid and was probably not going to bid it. I'm shocked that people will tell you one thing and not follow through. I would not call upon this company again!
