Aside from the products on display, this shop will also make/paint products to order where I am waiting on a quote for a Hand painted Tuscan vineyard mural based on a picture I provided the artist. I cant wait to get this piece hung up in my Bar area as it will definitely be one of the focal points and topics of discussion that I will be appreciating over and over again in the coming years. Relative to the facility and staff, the facility is two stories where the lower level has most of the products they make on display and the upper level has their sink displays and the artists themselves hard at work painting the ceramic products. You should definitely not over look this area if you are in the store. Relative to staff they are super friendly and give you your space while shopping which I greatly appreciated. Overall this is a must stop if you are in old town as the quality and workmanship are something you will definitely appreciate. You need to drop by this cozy shop in Zona Romantica and buy to your heart's content while there's still the chance. That is precisely what I did on my recent trip to Puerto Vallarta. It's bittersweet since it may be my first and only visit, but I'm so grateful I made it there. The one thing I'm always on the hunt for while on vacation is handmade art. I spent over a half hour doing multiple loops around Lucy's making my selections, all the while chatting with the delightful Jonathan who was manning the front desk. From whimsical Oaxacan alebrijes and Día de los Muertos art to intricately woven textiles and stunning jewelry, the sublime artistry of Mexico is on full display here. Lucy herself made an appearance and it was lovely to meet the proprietor and namesake of this magical shop. The fact that for 25 years Lucy and her husband Gil traveled around Mexico during the off-season to stock up on inventory for their shop is beyond inspiring. It also makes me understand why they are ready to pass the torch and retire. I really hope they find a buyer who will continue their legacy of showcasing small-time artists whose work deserves to be seen and admired. We need more establishments like theirs in this world, not less.

We have much-enjoyed several extended visits to the store over the years of our Vallarta stays -- chatting, browsing, and buying, and have much appreciation and admiration for the offerings there. And a not to miss event -- their "Anniversary Store/Street Parties" - held at the store in mid-November - they're loads of fun, and offer a wonderful opportunity to see the products they sell, talk with the owners (Lucy and Gil), and mingle with others (tourists and locals alike) doing the same .. and there's some good drink and music served up as well! Lucy and Gil are wonderful hosts, and they offer some of the finest Mexican arts and crafts to be found in Vallarta. A "must do" during any visit.

It's FULL of flowers, plants, and planters of all shapes and sizes. The employees are extremely knowledgeable about the plants they sell and are great about separating the full sun from the partial sun plants as well as the easy care and difficult plants. I'm what I'd like to call a black thumb... I can kill anything, but the staff showed me some plants that they said I couldn't kill, and I'm here to say 4 months later almost all are still alive and flourishing! You use a cart to place your plants into and a staff member will wheel the cart around for you. Prices aren't on all of the plants, but they are all extremely affordable, and the staff can help answer those questions as well. This is the best location to purchase any of your flowers, plants, herbs, and succulents! Happy gardening!
