Then after you self-check out..which I totally think Kroger ought to give you a discount for scanning your own groceries...you realize that you better fill up your gas tank because you probably won't have time tomorrow morning before heading off to work...plus Kroger has those fuel points which gives you 1 fuel point for every dollar you spend and 2 points for gift certificates...so it makes sense to just fill it up here...you save time and money...that way you can hurry on out of here so you can go sit in traffic on 92....

This location has all the updated offerings of a RaceTrac from the kitchen/hot food, pre-made pizza by the slice, pre-packaged biscuits and sandwiches along with the frozen/froyo and of course the all important coffee station. This is of course on top of all the standard gas station goodies. To enjoy one or many of the aforementioned, they offer outdoor patio seating. Cleanliness is always solid at this location from the lots to the bathrooms. Conditionally, the store is starting to show a bit of wear, which is honestly expected. It is nothing critical, but is certainly visible. Service is friendly for the most part. Only had one "off" interaction here on a recent trip in, but nothing too major. Overall, solid RaceTrac location.

I filled up at this BP on my way to play golf at nearby Towne Lake Hills Golf Club. I was coming from I-575 and passed the QuikTrip on Towne Lake Parkway on my way here. However, the QT was out of mid-grade and premium. My car needs premium and this BP had it. If that QT had premium, I probably would've filled up there since QT's gas prices are generally cheaper than BP's prices. This BP gas station has 16 pumps, a convenience store, and a machine car wash. I believe I also saw a car vacuum and/or tire air machine. I used pump 15 and it was in good condition. My receipt printed clearly. The paper towels and window washing liquid were stocked near me on my side. I used one paper towel and it was nice quality. Durable. I visited on a Saturday around noon and the station was moderately busy. I tried to check in using GetUpside to get some money back, but this BP wasn't offering any rewards at the time of my visit. The pumps look clean and the place looks really good. The folks that run this joint have consistently kept this place clean. No excessive oil spots by the pumps. The trash cans are emptied out regularly and not cigarette butts laying around. The window cleaning fluids are filled regularly and no funky film on them so that when you use it to clean your front glass window you get this weird grease streak. I usually just fill up and go. I've been inside a few times and the place seems pretty clean....got no complaints. The location is fantastic. Smack right in the middle of Town Lake Parkway and Eagle Drive. The QT gas station a block away has regular gas listed at $1.99. They should be ashamed. I made the mistake of going to this station about two weeks ago when prices were about $3.30 for regular, only to find out that the station up the street was about $2.11. I was sick to my stomach. Pissed. They fooled me once and they won't fool me with their crazy high prices again. Not to mention how slowly the gas actually comes out of the pump. When I went in a pinch the one time, it took me 10 minutes to pump $5.00 worth of gas.

My efforts were thwarted as a SUV came from behind and cut in front of me to steal spot. I saw another patron leaving and was able to use their spot without conflict. During my visit I continued to hear honking from angry drivers in this crowded and tiny parking lot. The interior was equally crowded, but the lines were not long. The tables were dirty and no employee was working to clean them until about the time I exited. A seat came free at the central communal table seating and I was able to dine inside although there is also a covered patio with additional seating. Despite placing a "for here" my order was served in a bagged to-go container. It had been served quickly and the chicken appeared fresh. The crinkle fries weren't crispy but were decent enough. The chicken fingers were plump and quality, but the coating was pedestrian and not crispy. A 2 or 3 ounce cup of coleslaw was nicely flavored. The Texas toast was adequately toasted and buttered on one side, but a bit stodgy and was the least fresh item in the meal. The sauce and seasonings used were ordinary and could easily be found at a competitor's. Thus the mystery remained unsolved about this establishment's popularity, and I won't be braving the hostile parking lot again for very ordinary food and service.
