Good place. They have an excellent variety of flavors and toppings/mixings. I'm writing this review during the COVID-19 pandemic; thus, Menchie's isn't offering samples, and they've taken numerous precautions. For example, all their mixings are in 2-ounce cups instead of in tubs to be scooped out. They have a sign saying there are gloves available for when you make your sundae, but I couldn't find any. It's not cheap, but it's good stuff with a wide variety of tarts, flavors, and toppings. If there are numerous customers, you'll be waiting on them to make their creations even during the best of times; now that COVID-19 has required social distancing, it can take a really long time to make your creation during peak hours. I'm honestly really disappointed. The hours clearly say you close at 10 PM, yet when I showed up you had already shut everything down 40 minutes early. That's not a small difference, people plan their time around posted business hours, and it's frustrating to go out of your way just to be turned away for no good reason. If you want to close earlier, update your hours. Don't advertise one time and operate on another. It feels inconsiderate to customers and honestly pretty unprofessional. I brought my kiddos to Menchie's for a treat after school. The location was empty besides another parent there with her children. I did not see any employees until I was ready to weigh and pay for my cups. They offered a nice variety of frozen yogurt flavors and toppings. The toppings bar seemed pretty clean and stocked. Unfortunately the location itself did not seem very clean. Floors needed to be cleaned/swept, doormats were dirty, and there were toppings on the floor. They have a party room available to rent which is pretty fun! They also have an outside space but I noticed all of the outdoor chairs and umbrellas were folded up and kept inside. It's wonderful weather right now so I'm surprised they did not have the seating and umbrellas available for guests. Restrooms needed to be tidied up and the women's restroom toilet paper roll was stuffed so tight that it was difficult to use. They did offer a changing table in the women's restroom which I appreciated. Pricing wasn't bad, I believe it was .62 cents an ounce. The one employee that assisted me at check out was nice but nothing outstanding to report. read more

Cute little place. Umm the yogurt I wanted were not done. I love that I was able to sample a new flavor before I made my final decision. The staff was really nice however he has a strong odor. This is something I dod not expect to smell hopefully management addressed personal hygiene. read more

This place use to be amazing a few years ago, but it continues to go slowly down hill. The inside definitely needs to be cleaned and fixed up, and the staff working the register are NEVER friendly and almost make you feel like you are bothering them. On multiple visits we have had to wait on someone to come from the back just to check us out. I understand that employees are hard to find, but they should at least be friendly when they come to the front and not appear annoyed to help. Such a great concept and flavors, only to be brought down by such terrible staffing and customer service. read more

On a hot Sunday night, this place was a total madhouse. I think it's safe to say that Acworth is happy to have a new fro-yo place in town! We stopped here after dinner at Panera, and the line was out the door. The line moved quickly and the staff was keeping up as best as they could. The machines were all working, the toppings were constantly being replenished, and everyone was happy. I had red velvet and vanilla, with 500 chopped peanut butter cups and cheesecake bites on top. Menchie's has a new loyalty program, so be sure to pick up a card. You get one point for each dollar spent, and once you get 50 points, you get $5 off. We have had my daughters' birthday party at the Menchie's @ Hamilton Mill in Buford. It was AWESOME. On the day of my nephew's outdoor birthday party, the forecast was for heavy thunderstorms. We called this location 4 hours before the party to see if we could use their party room as a plan B. The staff member gave us the green light and said the manager, Randy, would call us for details. We started to inform the party attendees the change of venue. Randy called and explained that they couldn't do it because they were short staffed and wasn't going to call his other employees on a Sunday to work some extra hours. Because we have had a party at Menchie's before, we offered to do the tattoos and shirt decorating ourselves (at no reduced cost) if they could just provide the room, supplies and yogurt. This set Randy off and he let us know that he will not be told what to do and decided to lecture us about how to properly run a business. In Randy's infinite wisdom, he explained that to run a retail business, that you don't need to be flexible and work with the general public to provide them services. We should be grateful for Randy and the fact he allows use to enjoy their yogurt. Well Randy, as an Eagle Scout (I know a thing about truthfulness, politeness, kindness) and MBA graduate from UGA (I know a thing about business) I decided to use Yelp! to let others know of my "lovely" experience. I had to average it out...5 for cleanliness and the variety and freshness of the toppings. I really, really liked that you could get hot fudge...that was a big plus. However, the things I didn't like bumped it down to a 3. Things I didn't like: As someone else mentioned, the place was jam-packed with teenagers (why weren't they in school at 1 on a Wednesday??) who were eating their fill of samples, going from one machine to another and back again, getting sample after sample, and making a god-awful mess of dripping fro-yo...to the point where you couldn't get in to get a sample for yourself. There were several large groups of teens. Between the cranked up music and the groups of teens, you couldn't hear yourself think. Although I liked that they had little cups so you could taste the flavors...unfortunately, many, many of the flavors tasted the same. The cake batter, cheesecake, and vanilla were indistinguishable from each other. The red velvet was red, but tasted more like vanilla. The keylime and mango were different colors, but tasted pretty much the same...not really like lime or mango, just very tart. Weird. I put cheesecake, red velvet, and cake batter side-by-side-by-side in my bowl...separate, but equal. If I closed my eyes, I absolutely could not tell which one I was eating. Was it a tasty, cold dessert for a hot day? Sure, I guess so, once the shock of everything tasting pretty much alike wore off and I just enjoyed my hot fudge sundae. read more

This really was not delicious frozen yogurt. The vanilla varieties were visibly unappealing. I shuddered as a too watery, dishwater grey material oozed itself into my cup. The vanilla, peanut butter cup, and cookies and cream all tasted like water ice chemicals. They weren't creamy. The chocolate yogurt was better, with a better consistency. My husbamd and I really like Menchies. We go at least once a week! My husband was diagnosed with diabetes this year and it is so nice to have a place we can go together and enjoy a desert thansk to the no-sugar-added options offered. I would have given the location 5 starts if they did not run out of the no-sugar-added options too often and if they rotated those particular favlors more often. While I can go and selected from a number of flavors or flavor combinations, my husband is limited to two (or even one if one of the machines is not working). Still there is value in one or two options over no options. Also (and I have contacted Menchie's corporate directly about this), a sugar free topping would be nice to have at this location was well. If you look at their comprehensive menu on-line you can see that sugar-free chocolate topping is offered, but the Acworth location has never carried it. The staff is freindly. The store is very clean. Word of caution: Weekends are very busy and warm weekends will have you oarking several businesses away with no room to sit an enjoy yoiur treat. So apparently I was the only person in my entire social circle who hasn't gone to Menchie's. What was I waiting for? I have no idea ! Went for the first time last week and MIND BLOWN. It was pretty early in the day so there were no kids, the place was spotless and the counter lady was very helpful. I didn't like the huge bowl though and I don't like that the bowl and spoon weight get factored into the price. (Which is why my rating went from a 4 to a 3). Did I mention that I had Menchi munchies immediately following my first visit? Something about that awesome yogurt and fresh fruit combo! And dude, those fruit popper things? Amazing. I took the family again last night and I guess we're magic because 2 visits and the only kids in the place were mine. So I let them run wild! Kidding! My kids are little accountants, they don't know the meaning of the word 'wild'. Offer them the opportunity to pillage a selection of cookie and candy toppings and pour gallons of hot fudge on their froyo and they'll merely adjust their spectacles and ask me if I'm 'quite alright' then suggest that I have a sit down.*sigh* My strange children aside.... Loved it! Everything was clearly labeled and ingredients/allergens clearly labeled!!! There were lots of flavors to choose from, and they said they always have certain staple flavors such as vanilla and chocolate as well as a sorbet and a tart flavor but they have different flavors of the month. Lots of toppings for endless combinations and indoor/outdoors seating. Reward program. No complaints. read more

This is not our "usual" Menchie's location, but how different can they be? Well, quite a bit. Came in on 7/14/19 between 1 - 2 p.m. The place was kind of dark, and there were no patrons or workers in sight. A man came from the back to the register but never said a word to us. When a worker does not greet me (especially if I'm the only customer there), it's a HUGE turnoff and indicates poor training. My daughter always gets the Vanilla Snow flavor at our regular Menchie's. She dispensed some into a cup and showed me that it was not the usual color or texture. It was coming out a light brownish color. I thought she might have made a mistake in dispensing, but I tried it myself and again came out brown. I got the worker's attention to show him and said I would be throwing it out, and he attempted to explain that the brown is due to the chocolate in the machine. Basically insinuating that it's supposed to be that color. Since when is vanilla supposed to be brown? I tried a sample cup of the bit that was still hanging out of the machine (again, apparent that the texture was wrong), and it didn't taste like it should. After the kids were set, I got my own cup and went to my go-to flavor, Milk Chocolate Mania, which was on the same machine as the Vanilla Snow. The yogurt came out runny and chunky. In the trash it went, and the worker man never batted an eye or attempted to even feign concern. We will never visit this location again. Our regular location is the one over by Whole Foods in Kennesaw. The owners are ever-present and very friendly. They remember us each time we visit, and when they are not there, the nice college student workers are just as helpful. And there's NEVER an issue of yogurt quality. read more
