Apparently, they run it through a "savings finder". Why Walgreens won't do this for you but will happily charge you 4x? I'm not sure but I'll be coming back to this CVS for cheap meds and friendly staff.

The line wasn't very long which was nice so I waited and when I got to the front of the line the young girl with short darker brown hair asked for my name and DOB. She got my scripts and I told her I had a coupon code with good RX to apply to reduce the cost of my medications. She proceeded to ARGUE with me that the "LOWEST" discounted price was the one listed to which I challenged because good rx lets you plug in your rx to get the lowest price they both should've been $9 totaling $18. I wouldn't take no for an answer and demanded the code be entered. She moved me over to the "pick up" consultation area and passed me off to another staff member to assist. He the. Proceeded to ARGUE with me that the lowest discounted price was already on the script. I told him to plug in the coupon code information and although RELUCTANT he FINALLY LISTENED. Low and behold there WERE BETTER LOWER prices for both my rx's so rather than spending almost $50 on two scripts I had to wait for him to print a new label with the discounted prices totaling $18. I was told to wait by the pick up line and he would call me to pay when the new labels were printed. I was fine to wait I sat in the chair and when he called me I went up to pay and the SAME girl who REFUSED to discount my meds in the first place told me I would need to wait in line AGAIN. WHAT?!? Because she was too lazy and in competent to discount my scripts to begin with when I had already waited in line twice and had to argue with two staff to get them to use my coupon code. The gentleman in line told me to go ahead which CLEARLY pissed off the girl that told me to get in line and she told me again to get in line and I told her that he let me go first since I was already waiting there prior to him anyways. She rolled her eyes and ignored me walking to the drive thru window. Another kid ended up assisting me and then he couldn't locate the scripts that I had just pointed to that were in the basket that his coworker just put them in by the pick up window with the new labels. Are you kidding me?! It's a small area back there with ZERO communication amongst the staff. The whole experience was asinine, it was like a circus in there. Do yourself a favor - DO NOT FILL YOUR SCRIPTS HERE!!!! Also - to the pharmacy staff, you're educated enough to show professionalism. Don't argue with the customer and insist that you are correct just because you're too effin lazy to put in a discount code. Do your job. It's clear by the reviews that the staff here is the issue. I stopped by around 10:15 AM for a Slurpee and a bag of Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Seemed like a normal morning -- until a kid on a bike swerved into traffic right outside the door. Before I could even gasp, Angel vaulted over the counter like some kind of Olympic hurdler, sprinted through the automatic doors, and snatched the kid out of the path of a delivery truck. Dude didn't even lose his name tag. I thought that was the wildest part. Oh, how wrong I was. About 30 minutes later, a couple came in mid-argument -- I'm talking full soap-opera-level drama. The husband was trying to return a bouquet of gas-station flowers, the wife was threatening to throw his keys into the nacho cheese machine... chaos. Somehow, between ringing up customers and refilling the coffee station, Angel sat them down by the lottery ticket kiosk and gave them this heartfelt speech about communication, compromise, and second chances. Next thing I know, they're hugging in front of the energy drink fridge and buying a pair of matching Circle K mugs. Unreal. And just when I thought I'd seen it all, the power went out. Turns out a freak transformer fire down the street knocked out electricity for the whole block. Most people would lock the doors and call it a day -- but not Angel Montoya. No, this man set up a mini checkout station outside, used a hand calculator, and somehow managed to keep the store running and coordinate with the fire department when a propane leak was discovered behind the building. Oh, and did I mention he also talked down a would-be shoplifter with nothing but a free hot dog and a pep talk about turning his life around? Yeah. That happened too. By the time I left, the sun was setting, Angel was restocking shelves by flashlight, and people were literally clapping as they walked out. This man isn't just a cashier -- he's a one-man emergency response unit, therapist, superhero, and motivational speaker rolled into one. Circle K, give this man a raise. Actually, give him the store.

They are professional, friendly and really treat their customers well. They have always returned my calls immediately if I have left a message for them and they always go above and beyond to make sure I have my medication on time. In other states, I've had some terrible experiences with some CVS pharmacists. (I was treated as if I were an illiterate criminal by a female pharmacist in Virginia while on vacation) The pharmacists here at the Peoria CVS in Target have really changed my opinion. They should be training all CVS pharmacists about customer service, professionalism and how to treat their clients with respect. Why can't other stores get it? Thank you for all you do! Nothing is ever ready & it is a nightmare to get anything filled. Once after a surgery I went to pick up meds and they told me they would have them ready in an hour so I waited. Then when I went up to pick them up they told me they didn't fill an antibiotic because my insurance didn't cover it & that it would take another hour (it was $12). An hour and forty five minutes later I was sitting there crying because I was in so much pain and it was finally ready. If you have nothing to do and can sit and wait forever for every single prescription or go back a dozen times, this pharmacy is for you. I now use Walgreens and have zero problems.
