Stacked is my go-to for quick, easy, and always good! Kim waited on us and she has been there…read moreforever, she is great, always love her energy! For the first time in forever we got there during happy hour so what do we do? Save money? No, we order two appetizers instead of one! We always get the wings, and we got fried pickles that were part of the $5 appetizer choices, you can choose from several and alcohol specials, too. I always do build your own, you fill out the sheet from a pad on the table choosing your ingredients by category. I usually get the beef but last couple times I have ordered chicken but got similar toppings, Spinach, tomato, chipotle aioli, and fried jalapenos on toasted sourdough. Love it! For a small upcharge you can get a salad as a side, I like to do that because I can steal a few of the delicious fries from my companions. The salad is generous, spring mix, red onion, tomato, croutons. It comes with shaved parmesan, but I ask them to leave that off. The champagne vinaigrette is perfect. This is my favorite burger place, but I like that I can get a great chicken sandwich!

Hers had perfect caramelized onions, good portion size on the fries and textbook medium well burger. I created my own burger on the brioche bun with the bacon and bacon jam. Next time I might add some type of cheese maybe? But either way, it was AMAZING! The parm & herb fries were also stellar and worth the upgrade.

He said, "Yeah, they're good, but I'll tell you who has the best burger in St. Louis. No, the best burger in Missouri! Jovick Brothers! Sometimes I eat them three times a week!" In a town now inundated with great smash burgers, that was a bold claim, especially coming from a competitor, but having scarfed a double last week on their front patio, I'm inclined to put Jovick at the top of my list, too. It checks all the smash-boxes. Crispy edges. Great burger meat. Perfect texture. Not dense. Good fat - ideal amount of grease (if you don't like that word, don't come). I never believed in the smash burger fairy, but someone with supernatural culinary skill comes in the night to season that grill. And the balance of condiments is perfect. But enough of my yappin'. Go eat a Jovick's.

My wife ordered the Southsides (no tomato) with a side of fries, my daughter kept it simple with her usual plain hamburger (no cheese, no toppings), and I went with the Reuben Burger paired with loaded tots. Everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The portion sizes were great, and both the fries and loaded tots were absolutely delicious. You can tell they take pride in their food, and it really shows in the quality. This was our first time trying takeout from here, and it definitely won't be our last. If you're craving a delicious burger spot nearby, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

The mushroom burger is unlike any other I've ever had. It's ground up mushroom in the shape of a patty with cheese on the inside that is then breaded and deep-fried. It was good and something new, but I preferred the regular veggie burger. The veggie burger comes with crispy onions, which I loved. The service was also great. We are a family that loves pickles and sometimes when we ask for extra pickles, it doesn't seem like we ever get enough. It was not the case here! They were very generous with the extra pickles which we were really happy about. The cheese fries were standard. The Oreo milkshake seemed pretty standard as well, but milkshakes aren't my favorite thing. Personally, I didn't care for how everything is served without a plate and with the burgers in the paper bags. I think the paper bags the burgers come in are a great idea to stop your hands from getting messy, but I had to take the burger out to realign everything so that all the bread wouldn't be at the very bottom and it just became a mess. Note: 1 burger was enough for me. I thought I was still hungry after and got another and that was a mistake!

I mean, really, really small. It just wasn't worth the price. I also ordered a regular Shake Shack chocolate milkshake and it too was very small. But it also tasted "off". There was something about it that just didn't sit right. There was too much chocolate to the point you couldn't taste the ice cream flavor at all. I was going to have them remake it, but honestly, it just didn't seem worth my time. The people who work there are very friendly and kind. The place also seemed immaculately clean. But my experience was frankly rather negative. Thank you for the good times, Shake Shack! You had a good run. But there's no value to your food, and things just don't taste the same as they once did. Epic fail.

I had to visit Blues City as I heard they have great Po Boys...and they do. I am used to having oysters or shrimp on a Po Boy. Not here. They are basically served with many versions of meat. I had the Benton Park Po Boy and it was incredible. The sandwich has ham, roast beef, turkey, provel, and is dressed with lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, pepperoncini, sweet red pepper sauce on french bread. My wife, being vegetarian had the Panino Fresco. It included mozzarella, provolone, dressed with homemade olive salad, tomato, onion & Italian vinegar oil on an Italian roll. This was the first time in 26 years that she finished the entire sandwich. I had a bite of hers, and it is easy to see why she she finished it. So good. I even bought a memorable t-shirt as I loved Blues City Deli. The female counter person was so friendly. She even wrote down three other restaurants to try while we were visiting St Louis.
