They had an impressive selection of snacks, household items, and outdoor hobby items. The prices did feel a smidge higher than average, but I can definitely understand you pay for the convenience. It's a one stop shop with post office, grocery items, vast array of fireworks, restaurant and eating area in the back. And they're very friendly. A note that they're only open till 6 pm usually (8 pm on Fridays).

On Friday July, 29, 2022, @ 8:33, while waiting in a shady part of the parking lot for Marshall's to open, I was asked to leave by security. I told him I was waiting for the mall to open and was accused of loitering which is something only vagrants do. I then proceeded to inform the security that I lived nearby and got the response, 'I don't think so.' it was demeaning and insulting. I have tried to shake it off for hours now (it is 11:01 now) but can't' without leaving a review to this effect. If I was waiting in a car would I have been asked to leave ? I don't think so. As a senior I enjoy walking and keeping mobile and intend to keep mobile for as long as I can. This was a direct judgement upon my intentions for being at the mall. Yes, I had my supplies with me in a large travel bag but I certainly do not look like a vagrant. I feel disgusting and I did leave the mall because truly anything that's there you can easily get elsewhere. It's a sad thing to see such a once wonderfully welcoming mall become a place of suspicion. Moral of the story : if you enjoy walking and taking in the sites of the neighborhood, don't take a break in the private property of Aberdeen Mall to wait for it to open or you WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.

But yeah, they seem to fit in and even though they might not be as good for the smaller businesses, there seems to be a way that they can all fit in together and work out their territories. Wal-Mart is on the other side and just outside of downtown Merrit. Like the one in Squamish BC it seems to serve it's purpose by offering regular Wal-Mart type items for a good price. Pretty much everything you can find here, but not everything. There are things elsewhere in town that you just can't find in any Wal-mart. That is mainly character that doesn't fit in a big box. Still, if you can't find it elsewhere, it's always worth a chance to check it out here. And yes. I did enjoy walking through the aisles here a few times.

You will find here Bestbuy, London Drugs, Hudson Bay, Shoppers and etc. The mall is quite big and let's just say they have a good selection of stores here. It is an indoor mall with plenty of free parking. They also have a pretty big food court.

Several shops and restaurants located within this Mall definitely 'come and go', as witnessed by our rather frequent visits/stays in Harrison. For us, it has been a shame to see some go, and an often wonder why to see some that come to replace them. I witnessed a change during this stay that was a delight to see. The 'Happy Prospector', which closed its doors to business (out on the highway into Harrison) a good while ago, had now re-located into Harrison, and within this Mall. It is now located in the space previously occupied by 'Dragonfly Gifts'. Had the opportunity to talk with the owner, and wish her well with the endeavours she has planned.

We stayed for a night on our ice fishing trip - clean hotel and hallways, spacious parking lot. The…read morehotel itself is a tiny bit dated in the room hallways but nothing was in disrepair. The room itself was nice, we had a kitchenette and a really comfy beds. TV took a little bit of time to figure out but was a nice size for winding down. Hot tub not really that hot - warm at best even with the jets turned on (but only the feet jets turned on, the back jets didn't work for some reason). The pool was small but not too cold. Breakfast was basic - scrambled eggs, sausages, waffle maker, boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, fruits, muffins, coffee/tea/hot cocoa. However note that it doesn't open until 7am on weekends which caused us to delay our departure. Toiletries available (shampoo/conditioner/soap/makeup remover/shower cap) and toothbrush/paste available at the front desk. Walked to Game On next door for dinner, close and convenient. Friendly and easy check-in/out process. Would come back here again!

In the morning, I sent a FB message describing the noise & lack of sleep. Within 30 minutes, I had a response from the manager & our room was quickly switched. The staff there are so friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the complimentary breakfast is delicious!
